Stay safe

A few days ago I had a bad experience in one my beloved areas of London. Having someone suddenly jumping on you from behind grabbing what they can may scare anyone to bits, but my initial reaction was anger(!), I got a hit in with my umbrella and ran after the creep who jumped into a nearby building. After getting away with nothing more than my phone, and hopefully problems with the police, I hope he thought it was worth it. Now in the aftermath I’m relieved it ended there, it’s insane how far some are willing to go, but lesson learned is that it could happen to anyone when you least expect it, so stay safe, tuck your phone away and grab your beloved handbag a little harder!

Blank page

Ok, from now on I’ll be posting here as normal, my mum has left London and this holiday season has come to an end, time to roll up those sleeves, get back to business and try to stick to those new year resolutions. I always like to see the beginning of year as a blank page that you’ve got one year to fill, day 3 of January and mine is pretty empty but I’ll catch up I promise.

Childish behaviour

When I was a kid I wasn’t as thrilled to find soft presents under the Christmas tree as harder ones, don’t get me wrong, I always appreciated what I got but soft packages those days most likely contained something practical, home knitted jumpers and socks, perhaps not what makes a 8 year old jump to the roof. Well, the joy of receiving soft parcels has definitive changed for me and when I unwrapped this lovely cashmere jumper by Carven on my birthday a couple of weeks ago it was all happiness and childish joy.

Budget

Todays budget tip is this sequined mini skirt from Zara which has some clear similarities with the most wanted one that Frida was wearing at Whyred A/W 11-12 show and it comes with a quite sensible prize tag, yours for £80.

Patchwork

I’m now the lucky owner of this patchwork fur from Acne, it was gifted and I love it dearly, it’s in fact different pieces of sheep so how they made it is a complete mystery to me.

Today’s outfit


Ended this day with a wonderful late dinner at a french restaurant Chez Gerard in Covent Garden where I used to be a regular, I might end up there again soon as they serve excellent snails and even though it’s quite a touristic place the atmosphere is cozy.
