Mondays are usually not the most efficient day of the week on my side, my inspo is usually close to zero and my brain never really wakes up before the day’s almost over. Hence, I wouldn’t mind gliding around in this comfortable outfit today, this gorgeous soft silk set is from Whistles (£235), leopard shoulder bag by Jerome Dreyfuss, “Faith”-necklace by Jil Sander and patent slippers by Repetto.
I finally solved the mystery of how many women manage to make their hair look so healthy tousled and effortless chic without looking as if it’s been close to a brush or hairdryer, but most likely it has and probably there’s some work behind, I’m having women like Emmanuelle Alt in mind. Earlier this week my friend Sergio tested a new styling method on me and I loved it, it lasted for several days and I didn’t need to do anything more about it other than brush though in the morning. The trick was in hairdressers terms “to set the hair”, and it took a professional hand to manage but I’m gonna practise this technique whenever I’ve got time.
The weather was really wet and uninspiring this morning when I left home for breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien with my favorite girl, Johanna.I tucked my hair inside my jacket and jumped into these cropped leopard jeans from Whistles (not exactly in that order) that I’ve used a lot lately. I’m so careful with leopard prints but this pattern and color feel more toned down in a way.
Jeans Whistles, old leather jacket Topshop, t-shirt and sandals Acne, bag Celine, watch Tagheuer and bracelet Margiela.
I haven’t popped by Whistles for a long time but judging their A/W 11 campaign I like where they are going this season, clean cuts, color blocking and prints in a palette of deep purple, red, navy and sunflower orange, that white color block blouse will be tried on pretty soon! Thumbs up for the nature setting and natural poses, brings the garments and images to life.
Also, the French stunner with that beautiful name, seen in Celine’s Pre-Fall collection, Suzie Bird, is one genetically blessed young lady, loving her look!
Yesterday I hooked up with friends for after-work-drinks in Soho and it was so lively in the hood, today is the gay parade so I except it to be a colorful day.
Anyway, this is what I wore yesterday, from morning to eve, didn’t really feel like me, but hey, habits are there to be broken right. I wore an old skirt H&M, angora top Whistles, ballerinas Theyskens’ Theory, watch Michael Kors, bag and sunnies Celine.
Woop woop, today I strolled around in Covent Garden with my man, brunching at our regular, Cafe Boheme, and bought a bunch of DVD’s. Despite that I like football, especially finals like today, I decided on my way home that I wouldn’t join the others in a pub, it’s totally crazy out there and though I’m on my 5th floor, watching the game perfectly fine on my own TV, it feels like I’m on a pub anyway, screams and cheering coming through every corner and window of my flat anyway.
Now getting ready for a party night out, have a good one you too whoever wins!
Leather skirt Zara, top Whistles, boots Mango, denim jacket Acne, bracelet Isabel Marant and bag Phillip Lim.
Loving my new hairy angora jumper from Whistles, the color is beautiful but will suit any pale skin better after some time under the sun I could also need a layer of powder on my skin, shiny happy people, I’ve ran out of my helper in need from Bodyshop and then you see.
Gotta run, I have a healthy burger date at Byron‘s downstairs, doesn’t that sound incredible romantic?
Didn’t get a proper outfit shot today but here’s what I wore, skirt Whyred, coat Burberry and courts Cos.
Today I brought my mum along to Aqua Sheko, the fish-spa I’ve mentioned before, such a relaxing experience with great results, my feet are back to baby skin.
Don’t have much time to day more as we’re heading out for dinner at Goodman’s in a minute, have a great eve you too!
Today I wore my new choral angora knit form Whistles, leather pants Topshop, coat Oasis, boots Robert Clergerie and bag Celine
Whistles got some really nice things in this spring, after I “rediscovered” this store last year I pop in from time to time and always come across some beautiful things, I now crave for the gorgeous coral angora knit in the middle, just what I’ve been looking for.
A tip for you girls living a more corporate life dresswise this is a great address, you’ll find dresses, pants, blouses and skirt which are perfect officewear without feeling dull, also for a good quality penny.
For a moment I was confused about which country I lived in, referring to last month’s cold but I remembered today, the rain is back and with that the light outside gone. I’m not complaining though, much better that freezing cold but ideally 0 degrees please.
As I felt very boring on my way out, blue jeans and white cotton jumper I grabbed my colorful bag and rolled up my jeans, a detail I like. Met up with Sarah in South Kensington for a late lunch and girly talk and Sarah acted as photographer again, thanks dear!
Jeans Cheap Monday, top Whistles, coat Oasis, shoes Zara, bag Longchamp
At the moment there are some exiting things going on in my life, changes, opportunities and flat hunting. It’s not a secret for those who knows me that I’m not very fund of drastic changes, I can never throw things away and hate making crucial decisions, at the same time I get bored of routines, embrace challenges and always adapt quickly, but it’s always that time before the storm if you know what I mean…..
Taken yesterday in Covent Garden Piazza after a late dinner at Sofra, jacket Zara, pants and knit Whistles, boots Acne, bag Mulberry
Time just went so fast today, just got home after fighting my way through rain and crowds of people in Soho, when I left home earlier it was a sunny, clear sky. But you learn when you live in London, a clear, blue sky doesn’t fool me, for me a necessity to carry along like iphone, purse and camera is my umbrella, a life saver unless you like being soaked. Yesterday, while at home, I noticed the rain was banging on my windows at one side of the flat, while on the other it was dry and sunny, is that really possible or did someone play a trick on me from above?
Jeans Cheap Monday, jacket H&M, boots Acne, bag Mulberry
Oh, I feel much better today, the amounts of peppermint tea, overdoses of C-vitamins and a good night sleep really worked. I’m on the run now to help some friends with their website, then maybe a press thing, meet up a friend for a Friday drink and dinner with friends tonight. Ciao!
Jeans Cheap Monday, belt Acne, blouse Whistles
A few weeks ago I bought something I was not 100% sure of and as usual when that’s the case I keep it lying in the bag, partly cause of guilt and the other part doubt, if is doesn’t grow on me before the return date there’s no point, I headed for the return yesterday but then……I spotted this delicate pink silk blouse with prints and walked out of the store with the same bag but different content, it’s from Whistles, love it!
I finally start to see an ending on my what-to-do-list and tomorrow is gonna be an exiting day but first a cozy dinner at Jamie’s, oh, I’m running late, ciao!
