Vogue US December issue provides the perfect inspiration for the 70’s flare in the air perfected on Natalia Vodianova styled by Grace Coddington. Except for being totally sold on high waisted suede A-line skirts I’m personally so in the mood for a longer or short suede coat belted in the waist, the hunt is on!
You’ve probably seen it already but this “Kicking Back”- editorial in Vogue US April issue pretty much sums up my mood this spring, stripped back simplicity, chilled silhouettes and gorgeous effortless pieces. Thumbs up to crew Grace Coddington, photographer Karim Sadli and girl crush Daria Werbowy.
It’s Halloween and I’m suppose to go to a masquerade party tonight, just wish I had a floor sweeping dress like this in my wardrobe. This “War Horse”-inspired spread, styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by David Sims in Vogue US November issue, is incredible beautiful and Arizona looks absolutely stunning, on the other hand, when doesn’t she. My favorite looks in Vogue US May, Vodionova in Celine from left at Chateau Marmont, Muse in Celine in middle, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton on the bottom.
I simply love these B&W shoes from Celine’s pre-fall collection which will be, according to the information I’ve been given, in store from June, yammy!
Not long ago Liu Wen was announced to be Estee Lauder’s first Asian spokesperson alongside Constance Jablonski. Later on Maybelline announced another Chinese model Shu Pei to be the face of their brand. During the last global fashion week the use of Asian models has increased and several luxury brands casted more Asian models than ever before.
Vogue has largely ignored the use of Asian models in the past but in Vogue US December issue eight Asian models are featured and according to the magazine they are “redefining traditional concepts of beauty” in the 2 page spread photographed by Steven Meisel.
Why took so long and why right now? Well, who knows, Asian economy and consumer luxury spending are growing which might have forced the fashion and beauty industry to have a rethink or perhaps they just woke up one day and suddenly realized what Asian beauty was about. For whatever reason underlying it was really about time and I’m hoping it’s not just a trend all forgotten by next season.

Sorry guys, not much of a fashion inspiring blog or updates going on here at the moment, the lack of internet doesn’t help me much either, I promise there will be much more happening as soon as I’m back home in London. For the moment I’m just enjoying probably the calmest, most harmonic and relaxed country I’ve ever been to and there’s not much more going on than what I’ve posted about earlier, I’m still enjoying the heat, pool, food, friends and my thousand times read issue of Vogue US August……..
