Being a black cat and all I can’t help loving an all black editorial from time to time. Some may say black looks don’t translate that well through images like power colours and prints, but if it comes in a gorgeous B&W package like this it certainly speaks to me, and yes, finding it inspiring too. Vogue Paris March 2014, Karlie Kloss photographed by David Sims, and styling by Emmanuelle Alt.
Leave it to Vogue Paris editorials to inspire with trends and pieces you never realised you actually wanted, wide legged avant garde belted trousers likes these for instance, not to mention yet new “Birkenstock-inspired-versions”, well, we can blame Phoebe Philo for the latter.
Good morning, it’s a beautiful sunny day with a tiny little tint of fall, and a perfect day of going pale. I’m heading out for meetings and wouldn’t mind jumping into this look as we speak, unfortunately there are no white denims in reachable sight, neither a light coloured coat when thinking of it, aah!
Vogue Paris September 2013
Hello there inspiration and the many ways of a white shirt! Buttoned up or down, the white shirt is already my best friend, so no surprise I love this jewellery spread with model Emily Didonato, photographed by Lachlan Bailey and edited by Claire Dhelens.
I always find the editorials in french Vogue like a big bowl of my favourite candy, and the September issue is looking promising indeed, in stores 22nd of August).
As usual Vogue Paris offers loads of inspiration for fall in their august issue, and I’m specially loving this “Chelsea Girl” editorial with super wearable looks styled by Veronique Didry, that includes just the right amount of mods vibes and boyish vampiness!
Alicia Vikander by Saskia Lawaks for Vogue Paris
Beauty Alicia Vikander has been one of my favourite Swedes since ‘A Royal Affair‘, one of my movie highlights of 2012. And except from looking gorgeous on red carpets and award ceremonies lately, she sported one of the cutest summery looks I’ve seen from Cannes this week, just loving this breezy look.
Vogue Paris what takes you so long to hit counters in London, cause I can’t wait to dive into this February issue that looks fully packed of inspiration. Especially this editorial styled by Emmanuelle Alt modelled by Andrea Diaconu, that includes cool casual denim styling, trench coats, streets of NY, a great model, Dries, hairy Celine sandals (better get used to these I’m afraid), and stunning images by David Sims. Absolutely love this spread!
This year Vogue has stripped down their summer covers for June and July fronted by our times “supers”. Nathalie Vodianova fronts Vogue Russia June issue, and the most talked about Gisele Bundchen’s more provocative butt-in-sand-cover for Vogue Paris June/July lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. I love them both in different ways and isn’t a great thing that when they strip down covers like this they choose 2 healthy looking models, both mums and have long successful careers behind them?

OMG, ok, I promise not to turn this blog into a video blog but I couldn’t help charing this rare clip with you that I came across yesterday. 2012 is obviously the year when the Vogue department want to show us that it doesn’t take itself too serious (see Vogue Italia’s IVC video), and now the creme de la creme of Vogue Paris in this hilarious video fronted by Emmanuelle Alt. Now I just wonder what funny tricks Anna Wintour is up to……
One of my favorite spreads recently is Points Forts in Vogue Paris August 2011 issue, styled by Geraldine Saglio and photographed by Karim Sadli. I’m in love with the casual unpretentious layered styling and I wouldn’t mind any of these cozy knitwear’s in my wardrobe right now, it’s chilly out there…..
