Rainday

Woop woop, hope you’re enjoying this weekend so far, the sun is shining in London and I’ve been able to wear bare legs the whole week, a sign that spring is finally here. Thursday however was grey and, rainy and dull, and I dressed accordingly. Ultimately I would have topped this look with this oversized leather jacket by Balmain, hehe, but I figured out my topshop denim would do until I win a lottery.

You haven’t missed out on Topshop Unique‘s fantastic (and affordable) fall collection, no doubt the strongest I’ve seen from Topshop ever. Fe-masculine military dressing with no quirky styling in sight, thumbs up to Emma Farrow, enjoy!

Beautiful things in store right now, a quilted leather bomber from Topshop Boutique, perfect for cold days worn with a warm knit, and leather plexi heels from Zara. Those beautiful Prada earrings just got to be mine but I’m leaning towards the pale green color with pink crystals instead, in a way I think the red ones would be better on a blond.

Kick-off

Barclays ATP final yesterday was great, I’ve turned into an enthusiastic tennis fan, something I’d never thought would happen in a million years, cause where I’m from, far up in Norway, it’s all about winter sports and football. Luckily we evolve in life, would be boring if not, like I’ve done into longer skirt length this fall, I still love my mini’s but I’ve totally fallen for knee lengths, and this scuba fabric skirt from Cos is among my favorites.

Right now I’m craving yet another warm, soft, cozy oversized jumper and I think I’m gonna go for something color-blocked. These are my alternatives but my absolute favorite is the one by Alexander Wang, just gotta be mine.

Countryside

Wow, it’s Friday eve already and I’ve got no clue what happened with this week, perhaps due to my mum visiting and a busy calendar. On Wednesday I spent the day up in Cambridge, such an incredible beautiful town, I will go punting there next summer for sure.

As it was a pretty chilly day and I spent lots of time outside I wrapped up warm, I wore jeans and jumper by Isabel Marant, fur coat by Maison Martin Margiela, boots Topshop, sunnies Phillip Lim and bag Celine.

On my mind….

White shearling and by that I mean completely white, and this teddy coat and gilet by Isabel Marant are probably the most perfect samples out there. Now when shearling has been “accepted” as a substitute to fur, and tick the boxes from a moral and ethical point of view, which is great, it comes with a price tag thereafter. I’ve seen many alternatives in the high street, like this one from Topshop if you fancy going faux. I’ll still keep dreaming of these two above……

Ashish’s ski wear

Ashish, the Indian-born designer with a background from St Martins, has done yet another collection for Topshop, this time a leopard printed ski wear range including a jacket, trousers, jersey jumpers, a rucksack and a bum bag. The pieces will price in the range of £40 to £200 and will be in available in Topshop’s main stores and online on 16th of November. As a former competition skier and snowboarder I’m not totally convinced this range tick all the boxes regarding functionality and quality, but hey, if you’re only planning to surf around on the ski beach looking good why not?

The Bontonist

So sorry folks for my absence and bad updates the last couple of days, I’ve had a million things to do and a lack of energy but now I’m back I promise, and I’ll be better doing outfit posts in the time ahead.

Today I woke up obviously leaning towards the darker androgynous side, perhaps knowing that I would get my hair pleated later on for a change, and just to out balance the feminine plaits. Images taken of my sweet friend, the man behind the Bontonist, thank you Giorgio!

blue & green

Hope you all had a lovely weekend so far, luckily there’s still something left of it and I’m gonna fill it with a brunch in Soho and cinema later on, perfect Sunday activities.

I love the combination of blue and green and on Friday I finally got to wear this wool skirt from Acne’s pre-fall collection, except from being warm and cozy it’s cleverly lined with a jersey mini skirt, just in case you get caught by the wind or you’re doing a spin.

Indian summer

The indian summer has hit London, I guess better late than never, did someone mention global warming?

On Sunday I had a relaxing stroll around in South Kensington and slipped into a more summery outfit than usual in late September, I found this old tunic dress with fringes, still with the price tag on in my wardrobe, felt like brand new!
I wore angora coat and bracelet by Acne, tunic dress Topshop, sandals Kurt Geiger, bag Phillip Lim, watch Michael Kors and sunnies Ralph Lauren.

Wind

I’ve been trying to catch up with myself the last couple of days, been really tired and lacked energy but I guess a couple of more days with a good night’s sleep will sort that out, being sick is never allowed on my agenda.
Images taken on a very windy day, LFW Day 5, and running back and forwards on the Waterloo Bridge from the Somerset House and Waterloo Station in humid windy air made my hair look like I’d been hanging on the beach all day. Hi guys, don’t have time to say much right now but here are some snapshots outside yesterday’s Topshop Unique show which had a life of it’s own. The models had golden hair, Anna Wintour showed up protected by a massive bodyguard, Pixie Geldof arrived in jeans and then ran off in a long dress (strange behaviour!), Scott Schuman seemed like a cool guy, Joanna Hillmann looked as stunning as always and Anna Dello Russo showed up in a whole white-suit-look with a feathery hat. There’s so much more but now I’ve gotta run, see you soon!
