In case you didn’t know you’ll find Topshop Unique’s runway collection in selected stores and online right now, but some pieces are selling like hot bread so be aware. I’ve secured some of my favourite pieces myself that will be perfect for layered airy looks come spring, oh wonderful days ahead!
Dungarees may be a hard one to swallow for some but I’ve been craving a pair ever since I spotted Phillip Lim’s gorgeous leather resort 2013 version, and the green pair that strutted down his SS13 runway back in September. Some may think of it as typical preggy wear, well I don’t, but I do admit it’s quite comfortable these days indeed, and I’ve practically lived in my maternity versions lately.
Anyway, for those of you without a 8 month+ baby bump, this one is my absolute lux favourite, and these and these are great budget alternatives out there right now, ideally styled with a simple loose tee or plaided shirt and sharp pumps.
My everyday outfits these days are pretty far away from Haute Couture, but it’s the reality for most of us and that’s perfectly fine too. This week I’ve been out on the run a lot, and though I’m beyond tired of what’s left in my wardrobe I can still fit into, and my mobility slightly reduced, there’s no point of complaining about it. Instead I choose to focus on the positive things, like my new boots I got this week, that suddenly boosted my spirit a little, the perfect treat.
And now it’s weekend, yeah, wishing you all a fabulous one too!!!
I’m starting to get into the December-Christmassy spirit which usually takes a little longer for me, if it’s the scents I’m burning at home, the lighting decoration in my window or my little trip to Norway I don’t know, but after watching this beautiful video from Topshop starring Kate Boswort singing on top of a piano, I’m not less in the mood. The video takes inspiration from the The Fabulous Baker Boys, and I vaguely remember how drop dead gorgeous Michelle Pfeiffer was in that movie, time to dig into the archives.
Aahh, this weekend passed on too quickly, I’ve hardly started on my-to-do-list, and honestly it wasn’t so long to begin with. I guess the darker chillier rainy days start to get to me. However, we’ve had a few glimpses of clear skies this week and I made sure to be out there soaking it up leaving my heavier winter gear at home.
Another week has flown away and tomorrow I’m heading for my first vacation in ages, 1 week in Cyprus with family, can’t wait to feel burning sand between my toes, feeling the sea breeze and stroll around in hardly-there-fabrics.
Well, as London is back to it’s usual London-weather we haven’t been overwhelmed by heat lately, but shorts and long sleeves have been working sort of, so I’ve added a few new pieces to my wardrobe, like this super soft angora jumper by Acne and lace shorts from Topshop. I wore them earlier this week with shoes by Camilla Skovgaard, bag by Celine, watch Tagheuer and sunnies by Ralph Lauren.
Wishing you all a fab Thursday eve!
Woop woop, how are you guys coping out there in dreadfully wet, chilly and windy England at the moment? Getting dressed for these lower temperatures that comes with a certain rain guarantee in mid July is so not inspiring and it feels like we’re in some sort of limbo. Well I surrender and have booked myself away from London most of August, so heavily needed!
Last week we had one day though with tendencies of clear skies, and I dared to step out in this outfit and left my jacket and umbrella at home, however by 4pm it was pouring down again, what can I say. I wore shirt by Daniel Silver for Acne, Topshop dungarees, shoes Celine, bag by Givenchy, watch Tagheuer, necklace Tiffany’s, bracelet by Cooee and Ray Ban’s.
Friday, the best day of all weekdays, and I’ve spent it desperately trying to save what was left of my Macbook who’s hard drive all of a sudden crashed earlier this week. Now it all lies in the hands of the helpful geeky fairies who gave me a status score that sounded promising enough to make me cope through this weekend. Lesson learned? New back-up routines starting right now.
Speaking of nerdy stuff I’m totally in love with my new glasses, and as we apparently don’t need sunglasses any longer in London(!), the timing of getting them couldn’t have been better. I wore this outfit earlier this week, jumper from Topshop, jeans by Current/Elliott, shoes Zara, watch by Michael Kors, bracelet Cooee, bag Celine and glasses by Mykita.
Happy Friday eve and stay safe!
Ok, todays budget pick might bring back kindergarden memories, but I’m actually convinced that denim dungarees works, thanks to stylish model Caroline Brasch Nielsen rocking dungarees with leopard, what seems to be her favorite combo, denim + leopard!!! Today the sun’s finally back in London and if I only had this piece from Topshop in my wardrobe I would have paired it with a white airy shirt by Acne with leopard print and worn it straight away. Happy Thursday noon everyone!
Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend, I for sure did though I’ve been on the run most of the time and tomorrow morning at 7am my train leaves for Paris. Now the inevitable, the thing I despise more than anything else, packing! Keeping one eye on the EURO final doesn’t make it any easier, wish me good luck and I’ll see you in Paris.
Todays outfit, oversized knit from Topshop, leather skirt Karl, ballerinas by Theyskens’ Theory and bag Celine.
A new favorite in my wardrobe that I’ve been wearing a lot lately but not managed to catch on camera is this knitted camoflage jumper from Topshop, perfectly slouchy on relaxing days, like last Sunday in Paris was to me, visiting Musee d’Orsay and drinking hot chocolate with rum.
Jumper from Topshop, jeans by J Brand, shoes by Acne, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.
On Saturday while in Paris I strolled around the beautiful streets in this relaxing outfit while crossing my fingers the sun would push away the clouds, but had no luck on that point. Instead I enjoyed what I usually do while I’m there on my free time, like hanging on brasseries for hours drinking wine and observing passing people, tourist thing number 1 I guess but isn’t that one of the charms of this beautiful city. Luckily I brought along my new flats, rubber in the city, yeah for comfort!
On Friday, while there were still comfortable temperatures outside I ran the streets of London in this relaxed outfit hunting down a pair of flat sandals, thanks for assisting in terms of color! Speaking of color I decided the same day to dip my hair into a can of dark chocolate brown at Sergio‘s, now prepared for summer, so where are you?
Bride on budget or just in need of a delicate silky dress without emptying your pocket, then Richard Nicoll’s ‘Blushing Brides’ collection for Topshop might be for you. This dress above is a clear favorite of mine, yours for £170 and will be in selected stores and online 15th of June.
