Hi you all, hope you’re having a lovely weekend, I am for sure though there’s not exactly summer in the city.

Yesterday I popped into Selfridges where they are holding a exhibition called ‘Washed Up, covering several fashion designers debt to the ocean. All together there are 26 ocean inspired couture garments and accessories by designers including McQueen, John Rocha, Martin Margiela Artisanal, Hussein Chalayan, Iris van Herpen, Philip Treacy and others, you’ve got some really fantastic pieces there so absolutely worth stopping by.

Now, brunch in the sun, have a lovely Sunday!!!

Today I strolled around looking for great bargains on sales, sadly at Selfridges most of the sizes were already gone, among them a beautiful leather jacket from Rick Owens. Crap, but I’ll survive cause I’ve got something else on my mind but don’t dare to say anything before I’ve got it in my hands, lets just say I’ve had some really bad experience with the delivery companies lately. I woke up today a decided to go all natural and hardly ran a brush through my hair, that’s the reason for the slightly crazy hair look.

Leather jacket Topshop, jeans Cheap Monday, wool poncho from a tiny store I have no clue the name of but I love this one, my boyfriend’s striped top from Cos, shoes Zara, bag Mulberry.

Due to the cold this last month I felt my skin got so much drier and after trying a tester on this hydrating masque from Dermalogica last week I bought it today, it really does make a difference and combined with a few more tester’s I was given I’m hoping to get my skin back on track.

I’ve spent hours in Selfridges today shopping Christmas presents and brunching at Obika Mozzarella Bar while observing people shopping loss at Chloe and McQueen.

For the first time in my life I needed help by the customer service to carry my stuff out of the store into a taxi, having that said the bags were full of heavy kitchen equipment for home, would have been so much more fun if they contained shoes, bags and fur’s right.

Oxford Street

This is how it looked outside Selfridges on Oxford Street yesterday eve. Everyone who’s been to London this time of year knows how the Christmas atmosphere sneaks upon you on what ever you may feel about it. This year I think they have way overdone the decorations though, more tacky than spirit but outside Selfridges it was still “balanced”.

Sorry for lousy posting today but I haven’t had a minute for free and my physical shape due to a late night out on Thursday with my fabulous friend Johanna didn’t exactly boost my energy level.

Ended the day with with my dear Julie, grocery shopping at Selfridges and decided (for once) to cook something at home, steak and smoked mozzarella on a bed of asparagus served with an excellent bottle of red, I know, didn’t require much cooking skills but it was more than enough for today. I’ll come back stronger, I promise, with the blogging I mean, no promises for the cooking, as for now, sleep…….

Thanks Julie for snapping, patient as always with my slightly disturbed camera.

New in

Ever since I spotted this cashmere, wool coat in UK Vogue in July I wanted to get something with the similar cut. Just when I thought I was too tired of all camel & beige colored coat talk to bother adding more of this scale to my wardrobe I spotted this one in Selfridges on my way out to catch the last 15 min of the Sunday’s football game in a pub, from Oasis and only 1/10 of the prize of the Phillip Lim coat I’ve been drooling for and posted about in Yes Please!

Ultimately I wanted to pair this with my brown sandal wedges but as I was expecting it to pour down when I left home today I went for my safer alternatives, boots Acne, velour shorts Zara, knitted jumper Next and bag Biasa

In the mood for shoes

The title says it all I guess, popped into the shoe gallery at Selfridges today, posted about it earlier in Ooops…shoes and even if I was not looking for anything particular I was caught by the atmosphere in there, does that sound insane?

My other half was definitely in the mood for shoes while I tried to convince myself I wasn’t until I tried on these beauties from Acne, which I shouldn’t have done, I placed them carefully back and left the building with a inching feeling in my chest, I should have learned by now, Acne shoes are simply made for my feet and I feel weak around them and in them, in a good way though, we’ll see……

Something else followed me home today, I’ll show you later.

I’m wearing dress and leather jacket Topshop, boots Acne, bag Wang

In a previous post Back into my boots I wrote about these goodies from Acne that I couldn’t get out of my head and really wanted to try them on when I got back from my long trip. Well, I did and oh they are gorgeous, very comfortable as well, so I guess there was a reason I didn’t forget about them, it was meant to be and now they are mine.

Speaking of shoes I went to Selfridges today to have explore the Shoe Galleries, it was all complete today with 55 000 shoes from more than 150 brands on display. Each gallery is decorated in fabrics like velvet, glass, clay, steel, alabaster, silk, concrete and rubber. I decided to pop into the Vivienne Westwood Shoe Exhibition on the lower ground first and ran out of time, typical me. Another time then, I guess 55 000 shoes don’t fly out of the window.

Thursday eve

Not a lot of posting today I know, been busy with things that just had to be done, you know those inevitable things……

Ran out for a quick, late dinner at the Thai around my corner and jumped into my Miu Miu wedges. One day last summer I popped into Selfridges and there they were just in front of me, irresistible, didn’t hesitate for a minute. I love the details on the wedge that might not show very well on my blurry images, sorry.

Pants and jumper H&M, shoes Miu Miu, watch Tagheuer, bag Alexander Wang
