Saint Laurent pre-fall campaign by Hedi Slimane
Freja, V-necks and pinstripes!
New favourites of mine right now are these heels by Saint Laurent, simply the perfect height! (Jeans by Koral)
Heeeey darling readers, I hope you are all fabulously well, it’s been a while and I’ve missed this space, 5 weeks in fact, and lots of things have happened on my side ever since.
I’ve finally named my precious 6 weeks old baby girl to Hedda Maly, discovered new meanings to the word multitasking, walked many miles, cut a small fringe, taken a million shots of my little Hedda, added new stuff to my wardrobe come warmer days and pre-preggy shape, spent a lot of time with my mum who has been visiting and helping me (bless!!!), and I have a new Celine darling in my arms.
What unfortunately has not happened so far is the arrival of spring, don’t get me started on last week’s snow in London, and back on are winter coats, scarves and gloves, as if we weren’t tired of this by now. Well, if you like me are tired of the sight of your winter coats and jackets by this point, adding a belt is an easy fix.
Old coat by Isabel Marant, new jeans by Frame Denim, boots by Saint Laurent, T by Alexander Wang linen top, new bag by Celine, and jewellery by Tiffany’s, & other stories and De Beers.
Ok, so I did make a choice between 2 pair of Saint Laurent boots back in January but I couldn’t really forget about the biker boots I left behind. Ooops, but now they are mine too, perhaps the most perfect everyday black boot, in LOVE! If interested yourself you’ll find them here.
I’ve been craving a pair of white pumps some time now, same happened last year when I totally fell for Alexander Wang’s Joan’s. However, white heels can easily look a little “wrong” (tarty anyone?), but a pair that definitely looks right in my eyes this season are these by Saint Laurent (Slimane again I know!). If interested you’ll find them with a higher heel here or other colours here.
Hehe, you know maybe it’s time to capitulate when what used to be one of the most oversized items in your wardrobe starts feeling tight and when you by the end of the day need assistance to get shoes off (!). I’m definitely there, but since I just cannot sit at home waiting for anything to happen, and feel perfectly good when on my feet (heels!), I might even attend a few shows during LFW that kicks off tomorrow, well, we’ll see how it goes.
Anyway, hoop earrings and chunky knitwear are on my sartorial mind these days and if you’re looking for hoop earrings without spending too much you’ll find a great selection at Topshop.
Maternity jeans by J Brand, old YSL knit, leather jacket by Joseph, Topshop earrings, bag by Celine and boots by Saint Laurent Paris.
Sorry for disappearing for a couple of days but I’ve had too much to do privately, my mum visiting and a few last preps for the baby who could arrive any time soon(!!!).
I’ll be missing out on most fashion-week-stuff this February which is for someone, workaholic like me, a little frustrating, but bless online screenings with today’s highlights such as Tibi, Alexander Wang and Altuzarra from NY.
As for my own outfit posts there won’t be many more from me in the weeks ahead, having had my wardrobe totally recycled lately, but I promise I’ll be back for sure afterwards finally fitting into my New life, New ideas and New wardrobe.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!!
Cashmere trousers by Hofmann, new shirt by Dries van Noten, lightweight parka by Acne (similar by Phillip Lim here), boots by Saint Laurent, bag by Proenza and Ray Ban’s.
Ok, here we go again, yet another Saint Laurent pick. Though I wasn’t such a fan about many of the runway looks this collection simply include so many beautiful separates from basics and tailored to shoes and accessories, that the more I see the more I wish for (me greedy? no!). So today’s little wishful thought is this gorgeous crepe dress with sheer sleeves, that I could easily make room for in my wardrobe until I’m fit for a dancefloor again, but sadly that’s a hard one to justify right now. (Yours for £1,521)
Dungarees may be a hard one to swallow for some but I’ve been craving a pair ever since I spotted Phillip Lim’s gorgeous leather resort 2013 version, and the green pair that strutted down his SS13 runway back in September. Some may think of it as typical preggy wear, well I don’t, but I do admit it’s quite comfortable these days indeed, and I’ve practically lived in my maternity versions lately.
Anyway, for those of you without a 8 month+ baby bump, this one is my absolute lux favourite, and these and these are great budget alternatives out there right now, ideally styled with a simple loose tee or plaided shirt and sharp pumps.
Dungarees (maternity) by Topshop, leather biker by Joseph (on sale), boots by Saint Laurent, bag by Tod’s, rings by De Beers and Monica Vinader and gold bracelet by Tiffany’s.
My everyday outfits these days are pretty far away from Haute Couture, but it’s the reality for most of us and that’s perfectly fine too. This week I’ve been out on the run a lot, and though I’m beyond tired of what’s left in my wardrobe I can still fit into, and my mobility slightly reduced, there’s no point of complaining about it. Instead I choose to focus on the positive things, like my new boots I got this week, that suddenly boosted my spirit a little, the perfect treat.
And now it’s weekend, yeah, wishing you all a fabulous one too!!!
Wool coat by Zara, maternity skinnies by JBrand, top by Topshop, new boots by Saint Laurent, old wool scarf and gloves from H&M and bag by Celine.
New-ins are dreamy ankle boots for me and a carrycot stroller for her, yes it’s a little girl, one in for me and one in for the unborn, a fair balance right! Though the stroller was harder to get than the shoes (waiting lists, I’m not kidding), I’m a lot more excited by the boots, strollers and baby stuff still feel like foreign terrain.
Suede boots by Saint Laurent and Strawberry stroller by iCandy.
I’m a jeans-shirt-girl at heart and I’m so missing my simple jeans looks, feels like ages ago!!! Well, I assure you I’ll jumping into a pair of perfect skinnies, a slightly unbuttoned silk blouse with rolled up sleeves, a little tuck, and killer heels as soon as I can, and wouldn’t mind any of these pieces to be included. With a long black coat over the shoulders or a duvet bomber I would have been ready to join fashion-month-circus! Btw, loving the silk shirt by H&M (£39.99) so much that I’ll probably get it now and save it for later.
Watch by Nixon, silk blouse by H&M, heels by Saint Laurent, rose gold necklace by Monica Vinader, suede clutch by Saint Laurent and jeans by Frame Denim.
Ok, so I admit I might be slightly obsessive about shoes, and as for black boots it seems like there’s always room for another pair in my shoe closet (heart!). When I came across these beauties I died a little, the perfect black high heel ankle boots and biker boots, both by Saint Laurent Paris, and both out of reach for most people mid January, boots-dilemma!!!
