A favourite detail this season on such as basic as a T-shirt is the lace-up, which works so perfectly well with all things denim and adds a little springy flare, and gosh do some of us need it right now…
Picks in store right now, cotton T-shirt by MiH (£185), cotton T-shirt by Chloé (£335).
Can we ever tire of fine jewellery pieces that in all their simplicity come with an edge too. Danish designer, Sophie Bille Brahe has been one of my personal favourites for years now with her clean fresh water pearls pieces, and rings made for stacking. Latest additions are these 14-karat gold spiral earrings, perfectly understated edgy and delicate, may we have them both please!!!
Pirouette Spirale £500, Pirouette Orielle £425.
Suede is one of the key words this season, along with denim of course, and together they are the perfect combo. Here are some of my favourite suede pieces in stores right now that I wouldn’t mind laying my hands and feet on, yum!
Not that I’m lacking sense of humour or take fashion too serious, in fact rather the opposite, but I’ve never felt the urge expressing it through my own personal style. However exceptions can be made, and if I wanted to splurge on something rather wild that wouldn’t tick any of my normally sensible boxes(!), it would be the new seasons micro monster baguette by Fendi.
Perhaps I could justify that my little girl would borrow it? The little monsters come in green, yellow and coral, yours for £930 and can be pre-ordered here.
Who doesn’t love a pair of “mum-jeans”, and I dare to say that none does it better than good old Levi’s. The iconic 501 will now come with a few adjustments, straighter in the waist, smaller in the seat and a more tapered fit, which to me sounds even better. You’ll find the new capsule collection in 3 different washes exclusively at Net-a-Porter on 2′nd of March, add that to your calendar!
December gloom? Not at all, yes days are getting shorter, but we’ve got the best ahead of us. Being an forever optimist with feet solidly grounded there’s light ahead. Either in form of Christmas sparkles, family reunions, goodwill for others or that little hope that Santa heard your prayers.
On my door a few Christmas treats arrived a little earlier than usual this year. With the risk of repeating myself to often, you can’t go wrong with classics, and a versatile wool cape and straight leg blue jeans are certainly some of them.
Running short of ideas of what to gift that special someone in your life or simply want to splurge yourself? Netaporter’s “Can’t-go-wrong” shop-room is the place to klick.
In collaboration with Net-a-Porter who offers free worldwide shipping until Monday 8′th.
It’s Black Friday!!!
Celebrating a season of sales shopping and great retail offers with some of my favourite picks out there. My best sales shopping tip is to invest in classic timeless high quality pieces that could end up being staples in your wardrobe for seasons ahead, and avoid the trap of too-on-trend-at-the-moment pieces, though it can be very tempting. Think ahead and keep next season in mind, happy shopping gals!
Midi dress by J.W. Anderson, Suede bag by Saint Laurent, 18K white gold earring by Carolina Bucci, Mohair blend sweater by Saint Laurent, Shirt by Maison Martin Margiela, Sunglasses by Gucci, Ankle boots by Gianvito Rossi, Leather gloves by Mario Portolano, Wool skirt by Carven, Diamond and gold necklace by Sarah Chloe, Leather pants by Acne Studios.
It’s the season for Christmas drinks and parties and a personal favourite of mine that works for any occasion is the jumpsuit. Bless the LBD, but I find a wrap jumpsuit with a little 70′s flare a tad more chic, and eliminates skin baring in chilly receptions. You’ll find plenty of options out there right now, but my personal favourite is this creation by Diane Von Furstenberg, the all-round winner and officially added to my wish list, along with these other new picks in stores, yum!
I’m not a beauty junkie, and don’t try on new products very often, but this organic beauty line based on Argan Oil by Norwegian Alexander Sprekenhus are new favourites of mine and deserves a shout out. Not only will I recommend them as brilliant products that really give your hair a hydrating boost, they also tick the boxes regarding design and price level too, thumbs up!
Hydrating Shampoo (£22), Hydrating Mask (£30), Hair Styling Elixir (£28).
And the award for the best looking electric toothbrush in town hereby goes to Foreo! I never thought I would add the latter to my wish list but here we go. This stylish toothbrush comes in a travel friendly mini version too in a range of colours, starting from £89-£149 and you’ll find them all here.
I love a denim+slingbacks combo, and these specimen by Dolce & Gabbana might possible find their way to my shoe collection at some point. Not that I would’ve mind any of the other beauties here either, then my Thursday outfit would have been solved!
It’s time for transitional dressing again and while the weather still allows bare legs I would still choose to bring along something knitted. Tomorrow, Paris is on the menu and I wouldn’t mind at all jumping into this total look, with the cashmere knit wrapped around my shoulders or waist, all new picks in stores!
I’ve always been on the hunt for the perfect chunky scarf that has the soft cashmere touch but still has enough hold not to fall flat around the neck. Well, I’ve found them in my motherland Norway, by Holzweiler Agency, blends of wool and cashmere, made in Italy, and comes in a range of sizes, prints and and colours, in the pocket friendly price range of €109-€135. I’ll start wrapping mine over my shoulders with a belt ala Burberry as soon as temperatures allow it, yum!
I’m personally a big fan of Ryan Storer’s new collection which involves clean, bold, yet understated pieces with Swarovski pearls. Fine jewellery really is peaking at the moment, which also goes for their amounts of carats and price tags, but these pieces come more pocket friendly for sure. This Rhodium earring for instance is yours for £160 and you’ll find it here.
