While I was in Paris back in June I stopped by Phillip Lim‘s menswear presentation for Spring 2012 and as I know some of you dear readers are guys here’s some for you. In sync with Lim’s collections for women this spring and summer, there are quite many sport references going on, in this case a clear inspiration from skating environments and cool young men. I wouldn’t mind one of these acid-washed denim pieces myself, enjoy!

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2012 Menswear
Best bet
Ok, I know I’m obsessed with shoes, way too much for own mind, space and wallet but what can I say? As for the new collections hitting stores now Phillip Lim’s Resort sandals are among my favorites, sporty lace-up and stiletto sounds like a hit to me, and they come in several colors and leopard print! Sadly they don’t come cheap but if you’re interested you can pre-order these beauties here.
Countryside
Wow, it’s Friday eve already and I’ve got no clue what happened with this week, perhaps due to my mum visiting and a busy calendar. On Wednesday I spent the day up in Cambridge, such an incredible beautiful town, I will go punting there next summer for sure.
As it was a pretty chilly day and I spent lots of time outside I wrapped up warm, I wore jeans and jumper by Isabel Marant, fur coat by Maison Martin Margiela, boots Topshop, sunnies Phillip Lim and bag Celine.
A mix of structures
On Saturday I dug out these soft leather pants from Cos in my wardrobe, one of my favorite pieces last year and I’ve got no plans of forgetting about them very soon either. The jumper is by Nowhere and I’m really positive surprised by the quality, every time I’ve worn it strangers have commented on it, one girl in a restaurant even sent the waiter over to ask me where it was from, so thumbs up!
Anyway, I wore this on Saturday noon when I was chilling in my hood and got pampered by my hairdresser before the big party, I wore leather pants from Cos, knit by Nowhere, clutch YSl, shoes Camilla Skovgaard, sunnies Phillip Lim, watch Tagheuer, bracelet Margiela, necklace Tiffany’s and ring Pamela Love for Topshop.
The Serpentine
Hyde Park is magical this time of year, though I love it during summertime, I think fall in the park is so beautiful, especially when the weather is as great as it was this weekend. Late wine brunch at The Serpentine watching the sunset could fool anyone believing they are somewhere in the countryside and not in the heart of a metropole, except perhaps for the building constructions in the horizon.
This is exactly how I ended up spending my Saturday late noon and I wore a turtle neck from H&M, pants and sunnies by Phillip Lim, blazer Zara, shoes and bag Celine, watch Tagheuer and bracelet Margiela.
3.1 Phillip Lim SS12
So many collections to absorb from what we’ve seen this fashion month and Phillip Lim’s SS12 collection is among my favorites so far, I mean, what is not to love about it? Sporty-chic, cool, wearable, clean cut, not to mention the gorgeous fresh color scale of soft pastels like lavender, peachy-orange and pink, also, the footwear here looks really interesting. This is definitely one of the collections that’s gonna be haunting me through the darker months ahead, I want to wear every single piece and look right now and not wait for next spring.

On track
Day 4 of LFW I jumped into a pair of track pants, yes, they are the ones I blogged about earlier and was thrilled to find them in the Phillip Lim store in NY, they are in wool and oh so comfortable, gonna be a total favorite this winter for sure. Initially I wore them with rolled up legs but they fell down when I was on the run and I wore them with shirt and shoes from Cos, jacket Acne, bag Celine, watch Tagheuer, bracelets Hermes, Kenneth Jay Lane and Acne and sunnies also Mr. Lim.
Surprised
Saturday, day 2 of London fashion week, kicked off with wonderful weather so I took the risk of wearing a short dress with sleeves, but later in the noon temperatures dropped and heavy rain surprised us all at the Somerset House. London Fashion Week’s Daily were used as umbrellas and people fled the scene, quite a funny scenario to observe from my view, safely inside one of the coffee shops. Today however was a different story but I’ll share that with you tomorrow.
I wore dress and sunnies by 3.1 Phillip Lim, boots Topshop, watch Michael Kors, bracelet Margiela, ring YSL and bag Acne.
Seeing green
I’m totally into green, worn it a lot lately and today I wore a beautiful sample in form of a Phillip Lim dress. I wore it with boots by Topshop and bag by Acne, I’ll show you the whole outfit later on, now getting ready for drinks out though I’m totally jetlagged. Wishing you all a lovely Saturday eve!
Track pants
I simply love this look sported by Heather Marks styled by Anne Christensen and I wouldn’t mind any of these beautiful items. I’ve already found my perfect coat for fall and it’s safely waiting in my wardrobe for cooler days but now these track pants by Phillip Lim are sky high on my wishlist. Not to mention the burgundy colored Celine bag, but thats a more unrealistic story…..
Love
Phillip Lim A/W 11-12, Proenza Schouler A/W 11-12
These printed wool pants on the right from Proenza Schouler‘s fall collection are so perfect that I could literally die (metaphorically speaking), unfortunately way to pricy so they will remain a dream. But the ones from Philllip Lim’s are also high on my wishlist and much closer to reality, price-wise……
Girls on Bikes
Back in February Phillip Lim said that his fall 2011 collection was a celebration to city-girls-on-the-go and girls on bikes was his reference. Though I liked this collection very much I couldn’t really visualize his floating fabrics, heels and baggy pants on a bike, I mean in real life. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why he has released a video of his fall collection, to convince us, here’s “Girls On Bikes”. Works for me…..
3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2012
Loving all these looks from Phillip Lim’s Resort 2012 collection, rusty colored leather, white, sky blue and sand colors, soft jumpsuits, casual silhouettes, simplicity, what’s not to like, the animal prints perhaps but I do think it works. I would wear look number 2 straight away for drinks tonight, could die for those leather trousers……
