When I come across great fabrics for a good price I strike, well almost, I’m so regretting I didn’t look a little harder for the white version of this cashmere turtleneck on the day of the MMM for H&M launch 2 weeks ago, especially now when I’ve got the hots for cozy warm dresses. And like a friend said the other day, ” that’s a lot of cashmere for £69!”, can’t argue that.
Another week has past and I’v been a really lousy blogger, I’m really sorry for that but in my defends I’ve been spending a little time with family, which sometimes just has to be 1’st priority!
Sartorial-wise my growing baby bump does limit my outfit choices to a degree, and I’ve discovered that most of my tops and jumpers, no matter how oversized they are, won’t work much longer in terms of length, unless I want to flash bare skin in the November chill. Luckily I’ve stocked upon longer and slimmer knitted jumpers and dresses, and you’ll probably see me living in these on colder days ahead along with this coat by Mango, my favourite budget coat in stores this season.
Wishing you all a Happy Halloween week!
Every early fall no matter trend alert I crave for something burgundy. Last year it was an oversized burgundy knit, inspired by Celine’s fantastic pre-fall 2011, that found it’s way to my wardrobe. This year it’s this jacket from Topshop Unique, not sure though if it was the colour or cut that got me.
Anyway, here’s what I wore one day in Paris last week, it was chilly in the air but a really beautiful day. I wore a wool skirt and t-shirt by Acne, jacket by Topshop Unique (sold out but this one is similar biker style), boots by Phillip Lim, bag by Proenza Schouler, bracelet Hermes and Cooee, and sunnies by Tom Ford.
Ok first, this is not in Paris right now(!). These images are 2 weeks back in NY, when sporting minis’ and shorts were the natural choice cause of the heat. Again a favourite combo of mine, max+mini and a fabulous pair of shoes that I was so happy to come across over the pond. Sadly one of them came faulty so I returned them, and the staff couldn’t find me another pair. So shoes for one day, well, sometimes I like to think that things happen for a reason, though they were 2 beautiful things, and I loved the mirrored heels.
I’m back in London after a few days constantly on my feet, today and next few days I will take my time to rest, and go through tons of images and impressions from the last couple of weeks, before I turn my nose to Paris later this week.
Sorry for not posting many outfit images but they will come for sure, like this one about a week too late, when I headed for the Acne show, wearing a mix of Acne and others. This wrap skirt is by the way is one of my favourite purchases recently, the rusty green colour screams fall, and since I bought it one size up than I normally do I can probably wear it all through fall and with tights when it gets colder.
And oh, say hello to my new patent boots, a purchase from NY, with a perfectly fierce pointy toe, a little mod’s, just the way I like it.
Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out and I’ll be celebrating like last year over in NY. For those of you who don’t live in major cities around the globe you’ll find plenty of great offers and limited editions treats online as well. Phillip Lim celebrates with the release of his comic book ‘Kill the Night’, where every outfit worn by the superheroines are possible to shop. Ok, got a flight to catch, see you over in NY and have fun tonight everyone!!!
I love discovering “new” shopping secrets and great addresses for restaurants, which never seems to have an end in London. Just when I thought I had a pretty good idea of the best boutiques I came across Larizia, in St. Johns Wood a couple of weeks ago. A hidden gem of a boutique where you’ll find a great selection of clothes, shoes and accessories by Celine, Phillip Lim, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga amongst others. This cute little boutique is definitely worth stopping by (also during sales!), but if you’re not around you’ll find some of the pieces at Farfetch, as it’s part of that boutique-network as well.
I guess you all picked up that one of the themes this fall is comic-con, with James Bond turning 50 and new superhero blockbusters hitting big screens soon the fashion world has been severe infected by pop culture. As for myself I wouldn’t mind any of these leather PVC bags by Phillip Lim, the perfect little fun accessory for fall.
I really like some of Phillip Lim’s looks in his Resort 2013 collection, casual, soft silhouettes with a cool vibe. I’m so into relaxed outfits these days (someone wake me up!) and wouldn’t mind slipping into any of these. Look number 3 and the b&w courts, yes please!
3 perfect fitting pants with a sporty’ish touch that would look cool and relaxed styled with a tank or soft jumper and heels, the blue pair are so gonna be mine if I ever come across them in my size.
Hi guys, I feel so sorry for my blog being neglected this week but I finally begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel, yeah! My utility outfits continues, denim, shirts and khaki jackets are favorites at the moment, and in this moving process I’ve rediscovered old favorites, like this vintage army jacket and my old time love a men’s shirt by Dior, perhaps I should be moving more often?
Wishing you all a wonderful Thursday in the wonderful spring weather!
Denim skirt by Acne, shirt Dior, jacket vintage, shoes Zara, bag Phillip Lim, bracelet Balenciaga and Ray Ban’s.
I’m back in London with a heart rhythm of 500 too many, my suitcase has gone missing somewhere across the North Sea and no one seem to have a clue where, suitcases don’t fall out of airplanes right? Ok, no need to say more of this stress scenario right now cause there’s absolutely nothing I can do but wait.
Instead I’ll be scanning through updates from NYFW, where another favorite of mine is Phillip Lim‘s fall collection that consists of many wearable every day looks, loads of perfect tailored trousers, beautiful knitwear and outerwear, belted waistlines and pointy shoes, missa love!
Ok, I’ve had it with black opaque tights, and while we’re at it, I’ve had it with wintery coats too. Sorry for sounding negative, but black tights don’t really lift many outfits do they, and most skirts and dresses are far better off with bare legs. Unless you’re into printed or pastel colored tights, which I’m not, I guess there are not many options left in the Northern hemisphere right now. So, lets really hope for an even earlier spring than last year, longing….
Images taken on a cold day this week, hence the stiffness, I wore wool dress by Phillip Lim, turtle neck H&M, coat Oasis, boots Giambattista Valli and bag Celine.
Wow, it’s getting cold out there so this weekend I’ve wrapped up in layers of wool, on chilly days like these my wool pants are a saver and if you’re interested to get a pair of your own you’ll find them on sales right now.
Anyway, there are no snowflakes in sight but I hope it will arrive in time and at least where I’m heading later this week, to the north of Norway, there’s a much bigger chance of a white Christmas. Cannot wait to go home to meet family and friends again, soon baby…. soon!
Yeah, finally a Pre-Fall 2012 collection that is up my street, Phillip Lim has during the last year joined the group of my top favorite designers, in every collection he brings along something new, cool and uncomplicated and his comic book/superhero-inspired pre-fall collection is no exception. Lovely coats, cuts and edgy prints but I especially love the trousers, want them all! See the whole collection here.
