Cropped days

I love a pair of cropped trousers, in fact I’m not an owner of anything that falls below my mid leg anymore, wide cropped, slim cropped, jeans cropped, and add cropped tops along with it throughout the summer. However, the trend barometer might say longer leg lengths come fall 2014, but lets wait shall we.
Hoping the sun is shining on you too!

It’s summer in the city, the tan and freckles are back on, and I’m fully enjoying by letting my skin breathe to the max, the behold and wellbeing of summer months.

Sartorial-wise I’ve been living in this jumpsuit, perfect on the daily run with sandals and easy to dress up with heels and a blazer, another all-rounder, yup, life doesn’t need to be so complicated, who’s got time for it?

When in Olso last week while being blessed by fantastic summery weather a trip to Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen felt elementary. Enjoying fresh seafood, wine and ice-cream in the capital’s harbour is highly recommended while touristing on a warm summer day, watching the slow chilled speed of people and boat traffics, add that to your destination list if you need an escape from tumultuous city life.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Sorry for the absence this week, but I’m having a week off in Norway at the moment, enjoying everything from beautiful summer in the south to 5 degrees cold in the north.

Anyway, on my sartorial mind lately are all shades of whites and neutrals (apparently), basics as usual. This linen shirt for instance, is another wardrobe essential, Elin Kling, you hit the nail on the head with this collection.
Happy weekend everyone!!!

All-rounders

You’ve got to love a dress that works just as well sliding along the poolside as a coverup, chic enough for hot city life and smart enough for summer parties, and on top of that got pockets too (my soft spot!). Well, I just found the one, and from now on I know what style I’ll be adding more of to my wardrobe in the future, airy and sleek all rounders like this, that are perfect to bring along on holidays.

June already, what happened to May exactly? I don’t know about you but that month just passed so quickly I never got my head around it, the missing month this year. Anyway, May or not, this week I rediscovered my love for leather trousers and a crispy blue shirt again, not revolutionary in any way, just perfectly cut pieces.
Happy Weekend to every single one of you!

Being an “investment-dresser” and a black cat at heart like me, means you end up with a wardrobe mainly consisting of black, timeless separates. Boring you may say, but the positive side is that it sort of all work together without putting much thought to it, and I guess that’s the case for all different styles out there. Knowing what’s to your liking, save and invest in it!
Unless wardrobe space is none of your worries, then one perfect fitted black blazer or leather jacket worn over several seasons or years is better than having 5 collecting dust on their hangars.

With summer on hold right now and London offering more heavy showers that actual daylight, what to do?
Double Denim, a simple everyday combo I never seem to tire of and that somehow always feel current. It’s all down to great denim staples and otherwise classic shirts and accessories, no rocket science really, and we all the ingredients!

Yup, summer is definitely in progress, and while outfits are getting lighter that certainly goes for your mood as well, feeling lighter and more chilled. Sartorial-wise it was finally time to bring out shorts this week, which I’ve pretty much wore every day lately, to me shorts are the new skirts this spring.
Happy Weekend and may the sun shine on you all!

This last week we finally got spoiled with summer heat in London, and just like that it’s time for a serious winter clean of the wardrobe and we can finally bring out those more summery pieces. Cropped tops and high waisted combos in sheer fabrics for instance, may the new season begin!

City summer

Outfit Picks 19.05.2014

Summer has finally arrived in London and we can finally bring them pins out, something I intend to do in all versions of shorts this summer. Wouldn’t mind jumping into this outfit as we speak, black is certainly not boring, with a blazer coming along this would work perfectly running in between todays meetings.
Happy Monday to you all!

High rise

Though I dip my toes into seasonal trends from time to time I always come back to the classics, and a jeans+shirt combo, has pretty much turned out to be my uniform lately. After searching high and low after a pair of high waisted skinny jeans (I just couldn’t wait for Saint Laurent’s one’s to drop in stores), I was thrilled to come across these specimen with the perfect vintage wash. Forget about low or mid-rise, it’s all about high rise in times to come, are you in or out?

Happy Monday morning world!
I don’t know for the rest of you, but in London we’re still clinging on to our coats, thank god we’ve been piling up in the winter to keep us going through this long spring. This white specimen for instance, kept me warm between sunny glimpses, heavy showers and chilly winds this weekend, the perfect throw on!

What’s on my mind these days sartorial speaking? Trousers of all varieties, culottes, wide legged, flared, high waisted, you name it. I wish we’ could have moved on to sheer and more leg flashing items at this point, but the springy temperatures seem to have slowed down a little lately, and there’s not much more to do than keeping them pins covered up a little longer.
Happy Weekend you lovely ones!
