Yesterday I joined Roger Vivier for the celebration of their brand new London boutique at Selfridges. To celebrate the launch of the new boutique Creative Director Bruno Frisoni has created a limited edition version of the classic Virgule “comma heel’, a punk’ish tartan printed beauty, exclusively at Selfridges, yummy!
At fashion weeks you can be certain that some of your favourite in season pieces will be popping up on someone else’s shoulders, hands and feet, and if not it’s certainly the right place to be to pick up some inspiration or two.
- Elena Perminova, hand over those Repossi rings (here and here) please!
- I could definitely make room for this Prismick bag by Roger Vivier.
- The Proenza Schouler jacket and open toe mules, oh yes!!!
- I don’t think I ever could get tired of denim overalls.
- Chunky knit-perfection in what looks like Celine!
- This woman, this eagle silk shirt by Stella McCartney (here and here)
- I’m obsessed with marble prints and that this top by Balenciaga (similar here) included.
- And just like that I want to fray my jeans too and wouldn’t mind pairing them with Nicholas Kirkwood beauties.
If you’ve stopped by this blog before, then you probably know there’s no “sartorial extremism” ongoing on this space, and his week I’ve been pretty much back to the basics, jeans, shirt and blazer, perfect when on the run and dressy enough for meetings. The ballerinas, whom I for many years shied away from(!), have now become indispensable in my daily with work and a baby in my arms. I actually never leave the house these days without a pair either on my feet on in my bag. Speaking of bag, I’m officially in a relationship with this Tod’s shopper, the best perfect sized every-day-bag that ever happened to me, and I love the sharp, yet feminine shape of it.
Good morning, it’s a beautiful sunny day with a tiny little tint of fall, and a perfect day of going pale. I’m heading out for meetings and wouldn’t mind jumping into this look as we speak, unfortunately there are no white denims in reachable sight, neither a light coloured coat when thinking of it, aah!
Something “old”, something new, I rarely borrow, but I love the colour blue, and I’m not referring to any marital status.
Mixing “old” favourites with new seasons additions is usually my way to go, it’s all about investing in quality pieces right?
New in in this outfit that I wore in Paris last week are these gorgeous shoes by Aquazzura that I’ve been eyeing for quite a while, and they do follow up with a funny story. On my first day parading these beauties in Paris I ran into the lovely designer himself, Edgardo Osorio, in the streets. I mean, what are the chances, perhaps shoe fairies do exist?
Fashion month is over and one of the highlights on my side was Tod’s first ever ready-to-wear-collection which include fantastic pieces that are certainly ready-to-be worn. Add laser cut pieces, in leather that looks like cotton and vice verse, cropped pants suits and shirt dresses, footwear with chunky golden buckles and long fringes, signed Alessandra Facchinetti for Tod’s, on your wish list come spring. The bags are still there but to me the clothes and shoes popped and looked even better up close than at the show. My favourite looks were the white off-shoulder dress and cropped-top-lacer cut-skirt, so in love!

The legendary photographer duo and partners, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, have launched a fine jewellery line, that is inspired by the couple’s own wedding rings and the love of their child, beautiful and romantic don’t you think. I for sure wouldn’t mind these beauties, oxidized silver pearl bangle (£535) and interlinked diamond rings (£1,595), you’ll find these and other pieces from the line here.
All white (well almost), doesn’t happen very often in my daily life, due to practicalities and that I’m carrying around my little girl most of the day. So when I’ve been away on trips during fashion month I’ve taken the opportunity to bring along some lighter coloured favourites of mine.
Also say hello to my new Celine’s that I got in Milan a few weeks back, the Milan store is one of the best Celine stores I know as they always have the best pieces. Looking down on me from the shelves, I just couldn’t resist these checks, and my feet will be forever grateful, may the flat happy days continue!
Ok, here’s me pretending to be very busy on my phone, if you’ve ever been around any of the fashion weeks lately you would know what I mean.
Anyway, as the jeans girl I am, fashion month or not, I’m most likely spotted wearing denims, so I’m constantly looking for “the perfect” fits and washes. To me it’s important that “skinny jeans” feel like skinny jeans on and not leggings(!), and finding the perfect washed-out-black colour is for sure not an easy task. However these by R13 tick all the boxes, so why I’ve not checked out this brand earlier is a mystery. These are certainly coming along with me to Paris tomorrow, see you all there for fashion week. Bisous!
No rocket science going on here, just a simply everyday outfit of mine, jeans by R13 (here and here), teddy knit by Isabel Marant (here and here), shoes by Chanel, bag by Tod’s, lace-iphone-cover by Marc by Marc Jacobs, and sunnies by Tom Ford.
Alexander Wang presented one of the easiest-to-wear-collections I’ve seen in a while back in NY, which include many definite sell out pieces(!) for next spring. If you want to make sure to get your hands on “Parental Advisory” or perhaps the most craved after pair of boxer shorts (my favourite look!), then you can pre-order these items here along with the rest of the collection until the end of the day today.
No matter season and trends, I always come back to the classic pieces, and this season I’ve certainly invested in some of them, like this coat by Stella McCartney, that I after trying on for several seasons, finally decided to strike on. Dusty pink might be huge this season but I personally rather invest in either a black, navy or camel coat, that will last me a long time and not just the coat you wore in 2013.
This is what I wore on one of the London Fashion Week days, before it got too chilly over here. But right now I’m escaping chilly September degrees and hoping for indian summer in Milan, see you all in pasta heaven(!) and wishing you a fabulous weekend!
Dress by Hofmann Copenhagen, cashmere coat by Stella McCartney (in blue here and here), clutch by Celine, diamond necklace by Jennifer Zeuner (here and here), boots by Jimmy Choo (here and here), bracelets and rings by Balenciaga, Ina Beissner, Monica Vinader and De Beers.
