It’s high summer and fall pieces couldn’t feel further away, however we all know how quickly that may change, and if you’ve already tired of the sales out there you’re probably looking forward as well. This weeks picks, oh yes please!
When in Olso last week while being blessed by fantastic summery weather a trip to Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen felt elementary. Enjoying fresh seafood, wine and ice-cream in the capital’s harbour is highly recommended while touristing on a warm summer day, watching the slow chilled speed of people and boat traffics, add that to your destination list if you need an escape from tumultuous city life.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
As for Nicholas Ghesquiere’s first campaign for Louis Vuitton he took onboard no less than three iconic photographers, Juergen Teller, Bruce Weber and Annie Leibovitz. The campaign features cool beauties like Charlotte Gainsbourg, Freja Beha, Liya Kedebe and Jean Cambell and some of fall’s most sought after items, stay tuned.
Sorry for the absence this week, but I’m having a week off in Norway at the moment, enjoying everything from beautiful summer in the south to 5 degrees cold in the north.
Anyway, on my sartorial mind lately are all shades of whites and neutrals (apparently), basics as usual. This linen shirt for instance, is another wardrobe essential, Elin Kling, you hit the nail on the head with this collection.
Happy weekend everyone!!!
We’ve got high summer ahead of us, but instead of focusing on great summery sales bargains I’m rather eyeing new season’s drops in stores, and everything transitional pre-fall. A girl gotta think ahead and for me hounds-tooth it is, along with these other picks that could carry me through summer too!
You’ve got to love a dress that works just as well sliding along the poolside as a coverup, chic enough for hot city life and smart enough for summer parties, and on top of that got pockets too (my soft spot!). Well, I just found the one, and from now on I know what style I’ll be adding more of to my wardrobe in the future, airy and sleek all rounders like this, that are perfect to bring along on holidays.
June already, what happened to May exactly? I don’t know about you but that month just passed so quickly I never got my head around it, the missing month this year. Anyway, May or not, this week I rediscovered my love for leather trousers and a crispy blue shirt again, not revolutionary in any way, just perfectly cut pieces.
Happy Weekend to every single one of you!
NY based Swedish blogger Elin Kling and partner, Karl Lindman, are the creators behind the new luxury leisure brand Toteme. Their first collection includes ready-to-wear pieces that embodies the above synonyms along with effortless, breezy, sporty-chic, with great price points, and we love that don’t we. You can find a selection here as we speak, yum!
Being an “investment-dresser” and a black cat at heart like me, means you end up with a wardrobe mainly consisting of black, timeless separates. Boring you may say, but the positive side is that it sort of all work together without putting much thought to it, and I guess that’s the case for all different styles out there. Knowing what’s to your liking, save and invest in it!
Unless wardrobe space is none of your worries, then one perfect fitted black blazer or leather jacket worn over several seasons or years is better than having 5 collecting dust on their hangars.
Cropped trousers by Victoria Beckham (also here, here and similar model by Balenciaga here), top by Celine, blazer by Acne, shoes by Jimmy Choo, bag by Tod’s, watch by Larsson&Jennings, earring by Sophie Bille Brahe and gold necklace by Marte Frisnes.
High-rise jeans are having a moment and they work best with the classics, breton stripes and sling backs ahoy! Hence I wouldn’t have mind at all slipping into this outfit as we speak, Happy Saturday out there!
French-Italian designer Giambattista Valli, will be launching a new more playful line at Milan Fashion Week in September called Giamba.
“All my friends call me Giamba, and the moniker reflects the spirit of this new project. It’s another side of the same coin, another collection that runs in parallel with the designer brand, one completing the other,” Valli told WWD. “There is also a playful, underground and sexy side in me and in my designs that you will see in the Giamba line. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and waited for the right time, and now it’s matured. I am really very happy.”
