I guess you must have been hiding in a cave if you haven’t already seen loads of press material from Versace’s collection for H&M this last month and just in order to make even more buzz about the already highly coveted collaboration, Donatella threw a glamorous starstudded catwalk show in New York yesterday, where the models strutted down a catwalk paved with gold, and to top it all Prince performed, well, I’m sure you already read it all somewhere else by now. Anyway, what I would queue for on November 17th, is the printed men’s shirt to the left.
In action
For those of you who never had the chance to experience Fashion Week live in any of the major cities are probably unaware of the activities outside the shows. Yes sure, you know what streetstyle photographer’s are all about by now, but here’s a little insight of the great bunch from New York on how it works, lovely Craig Arend from nymag.com does the talking.
In Grazia
In Grazia’s latest issue that I was handed outside the Burberry show the other day I found myself surrounded by the best fashion company, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Carine Roitfeld and others, I’m so honored! The image was taken when I was rushing between shows on a busy and very hot day in New York and I didn’t get the chance to get my outfit taken with my own camera.
“Taylor Tomasi Hill in vintage Escada; the side split on Norwegian fashion blogger Hedvig Opshaug’s mididress add sex appeal; Natalie Suarez in a sheer vintage Calvin Klein skirt…”
Eeeh, ok, thanks, but my dress is by Alexander Wang, shoes Balenciaga, clutch Helmut Lang, watch Michael Kors and bracelet by Acne.
Carpark
I know I haven’t posted much outfits the last week but it will come, here’s from the last day of NYFW and my feet needed a complete break from heels so I jumped into something casual which also has become my favorite ready-to-go-look, short dress+vest. I wore my brand new Phillip Lim glasses which are similar in style to the ones from Celine’s A/W collection that unfortunately has sold out everywhere I’ve been.
I wore silk dress and bag by Acne, vest Bik Bok, shoes Prada, sunnies Phillip Lim, watch Michael Kors and various bracelets.
Miroslava
It’s been so wonderfully warm and sunny over here in NY this week, which is only a positive thing, except that my luggage consists mainly of fall stuff and I really regret I didn’t bring along more summery clothes and dresses. Miroslava Duma however seems to have her along wardrobe in place for hot temperatures and she looked so cute today when I snapped her outside Phillip Lim’s show.
Details
Details from yesterday eve when I headed for a late show followed by dinner at the Mandarin with a lovely group of folks, the view up there was fantastic, highly recommended, even for someone like me who prefer to keep my feet planted safely on the ground.
I wore leather skirt by Acne, top Cos, clutch YSL, watch Tagheuer, bracelets YSL and Giuseppe Zanotti.
Tibi SS12
I loved Tibi’s show yesterday, simple clean cuts in soft pastels, mustard and green, perfectly polished styled. Though the color scale, crispy white shirts and easy going fresh looks are right up my street, my favorite look was a pair of green printed wide legged pants worn with a cropped leather top. See the whole collection on style.com
I’ve seen Suzie Bird on many shows this week, I think I’m having a little crush on her, well, who can blaim me?
US Open
Yesterday late noon I took a fashionable break from fashion and rushed to the hotel for a quick change for the US Open single men’s finale. Though I’m not a massive fan of tennis being there was magical and I was cheering Djokovic all way through (sorry to my Spanish readers).
Oki, gotta run again and I’m looking forward to Tibi’s show later today, you haven’t missed out that the Swedish blogger, Elin Kling, is styling it, I’m sure she’ll kick ass!
I wore skirt by Lord&Taylor, top and blazer Acne, shoes and sunnies Celine, bag Chanel and jewellery like before.
Denim on denim
Yesterday I managed to get my outfit taken over here with my own camera and I finally got to wear my denim shirt by Celine. As I’m a little into denim on denim looks I paired it with my denim looking shorts by Acne.
Now, on the run out but I’m gonna check in a little later on, have a wonderful day!
Shirt and sunnies by Celine, shorts Acne, shoes Camilla Skovgaard, bracelets Hermes and Intermix, watch Tagheuer and bag Chanel.
Boys
So much to say and show you yet so little time, meanwhile when I go through my images here are a group of male models chilling backstage at the Lincoln Centre. I’m gonna try my best to upload a few more post before I head out again.
PS: the guy on the top image is O’Pry if I’m not mistaken, perhaps you recognize him from Zara’s 2011 fall campaign?
Dream Downtown
Just got back into my hotel room after missing a show, realized in a cab I wouldn’t make it and turned back, damn! Well, on the good side the hotel I’m staying in, Dream Downtown, is fantastic and though the view up from the window (a hole in the wall) isn’t the best it’s pretty good if you look down.
Now, Fashion’s Night Out, have fun!
Black Friday
Right now I fish I was in this city where lot of the retailers offers great deals in order to boost the Christmas shopping, I know for sure which shops I would have stopped by today. Was actually planning going to New York over Christmas but came to the conclusion yesterday to delay it to January and now leaning towards spending Christmas in the north of Norway and Paris, New york please wait for me!
