Friday


Yesterday I met up with my lovely friend Sarah in Mayfair and visited the Dover Street Market, a beautiful and very dangerous place when you’re in the right company, way too many temptations, clothing and foodwise like the cafe on the top floor.

Today is yet another sunny day and I’m heading out for a brunch, to shop some delikatessen and perhaps stop by a spa, have a great Saturday you too!

Yesterday

Yesterday eve after finishing of work from home I ran out to a french bistro around the corner, Le Garrick, the 3rd time this week, I’ve got the hots for their small dishes and the goat cheese salad must be the best I’ve ever tasted, the magic is due to the sauce.

Oki, I’m on the run out for brunch, have a lovely Friday noon you too!

Green day

Today I managed to squeeze in a lovely lunch with my dear Johanna at our regular place in Covent Garden, rushed home to finish off some work and then ended the evening with a girls dinner at Le Garrick in the company of my sweetie Julie, a really girly day without having in mind at all it’s the 8th of March. Perhaps it was on our minds unconsciously, who knows.

We’ve been blessed with some really sunny weather in London this week, I cross my fingers and toes it won’t turn having the surprise snow in 2009 freshly in mind, welcome spring!

Yesterday

Yesterday was the Sunday I’ve longed for, spent the whole day with my man, walking in Covent Garden, an improvised brunch at Yauatcha, followed by cinema, “The King’s Speech” was a really great movie, fantastic performances of all 3 main characters, highly recommended, I almost turned into a royalist for a moment, perhaps due to Colin Firth, who I’ve had a secret crush on since I was like 13.

Breaking the rules

Yesterday I had a stroll with my favorite man in the wonderful green Kensington Gardens, I’ll show you some images of him later today.

There are two rules I always try not to break when it comes to photography, 1: Don’t let trees grow out of people’s head, 2: Don’t place the object directly in sunlight as the light can be too harsh. These are perfect examples of what not to do but I can only blame myself and not the photographer as I placed myself in the sun.

The Zanotti problem

Yes, I love leather, and obviously this coat, time to put it aside for a while perhaps.

The glittery Zanotti booties I bought in NY lies in the white bag, since I bought them 2 sizes to small I brought them to my shoemaker yesterday and hoped he could work miracles with them. Unfortunately he didn’t want to take the risk in case the glitter stones would fall off so instead I kept them on my feet at home, painful, telling myself it’s working….

Sunday blue & sweet-corn soup

Yesterday I had a stroll in the rain in Covent Garden, watched Arsenal loose in a football pub and warmed up on chinese chicken sweet-corn soup in china town.

Lately I’ve only been able to snap my casual outfits, I wore a beautiful new dress when I went out on a girls night on Saturday eve but I’ll show you another time. Sorry for the angry look in these images, really I wasn’t, simply Sunday tiredness I guess.

Springday

Oxford Loafers

Saturday was day 2 of LFW and was wet and rainy but for us Londoner’s it shouldn’t come as a surprise. In order to avoid walking around with growing frizzy hair I sleeked it back, it’s the only way to keep control of my curly hair in humid air.

A man was spotted in the Somerset area wearing the same coat as me and he looked great, so you guys out there don’t limit yourself to menswear.

Stolen

Yesterday I stole my boyfriend’s new leather jacket from Jil Sander, I love the clear blue color of it and the leather oh so soft, I will continue to encourage him to buy super fitted stuff so that I can borrow it without looking like I’m drowning.
It was a cold day indeed but as I hardly spent any time outside I survived.

Love

Everything I’ve been told about NY has been spot on so far, positive and negative and my conclusion after spending almost a whole day here is that I love this city!

After a bumby ride yesterday, eeehh, lost my first flight, I was lucky to be escorted from the airport to the hotel in a limo as the taxi company had run out of normal taxis, luxurious indeed.

Anyway I’ve been out the whole day trying to get to know my new love and it was freezing cold. After snapping around the fashion week arena and freezing off my poor fingers I know what I’m gonna look for tomorrow if there’s any time for shopping, fingergloves.

Gotta run, dinner out on Strip House, my first NY steak!

Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Today is Chinese New Year and it’s been celebrated just outside my door at Trafalgar Square with chinese opera, dancers and crowds of people. Usually on Sundays we pop into China Town for dinner but today there was no point, simply too many people. Anyway it’s the year of the rabbit and I wish you all a good one.
