Oh beautiful Arizona, I want your eyebrows!
I don’t like being the happy smiling object in front of a camera myself but I love catching moments like this, Chiharu Okunugi‘s genuine smile can be described in one word, radiant! I snapped her straight off the Hermes 2012 Spring show in Paris and I love her sharp fringe and cut.
Hope you’re smiling yourself and Happy Friday!
No surprise this beautiful girl is right up my street, her hair, unbuttoned shirt, a blazer on her shoulder and a pair of Audrey framed sunnies, such a stereotype cool classic that I lean towards myself when I just want things to be uncomplicated. I shot her in Paris after the Lanvin SS12 show and I was pretty sure she was Anna Selezneva until I noticed the tiny mole on her left chin and now I’m pretty sure it’s not her, on the other hand there’s something called make-up. Anyway, not that it matters but if you have any idea, would you mind getting back to me so I can sort my images out right.
Hello there, it’s Friday again, always a day to celebrate, weekends are so much more fun right. Above casual dressed and happy models Julia Nobis (not sure who the other girl is, anyone?) off duty after the Valentino show in Paris a couple of weeks ago, caught in a moment that should bring a smile on everyone’s face.
I snapped the Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld several times in Paris, here straight off the Lanvin runway just before sunset, and oh what a true beauty she is. We all know she knows how to work the runway and in front of the camera, like in the recent Versace for H&M campaign and in Peter Lindbergh’s fantastic “Immortal love”, but in real life I find her even more striking.
One that has become one of my favorite objects to photograph is beautiful Swedish model Frida Gustavsson, she’s just a natural and has this glow around her and no need to mention a great sense of style. I’m so weak for hairy cozy knitwear in pastels and I love how she paired it with a pop-up t-shirt, a statement necklace by Marni, casual jeans and the studded leather clutch by Valentino that I spotted in many fashionable arms in Paris. Her loose braided hair straight from the Valentino runway is simply the cherry on top.
The cool model Hanne Gaby Odiele has been sporting lots of midriff lately and she looked so stunningly natural and casual straight off the Chloe runway yesterday. Speaking of midriff, that’s something I think we’re gonna see a lot more off next spring like seen on Acne’s and Prada’s SS12 shows.
Now I’m off to the Chanel circus, have a fab day!
After the Burberry show last week I met one of the models of the moment, 17 year old Ruby Jean Wilson, fresh from the Burberry runway. While the crowds and masses of photographers were all gathered outside the tent I spotted her alone waiting for a driver with her name tag to pick her up. She seemed such a young, sweet, shy and delicate thing, and I wish her all the best with her modeling career, looks like it’s going pretty well at the moment as she’s becoming a regular this season on the major shows, Ruby is one to watch!
Just wish a had better background and frame for this image but this girl is sweet enough to make up for it, she’s wearing a vintage silk blouse and bag by Alexander Wang.
So much to say and show you yet so little time, meanwhile when I go through my images here are a group of male models chilling backstage at the Lincoln Centre. I’m gonna try my best to upload a few more post before I head out again.
PS: the guy on the top image is O’Pry if I’m not mistaken, perhaps you recognize him from Zara’s 2011 fall campaign?
I’ve got a weakness for fashion videos and I really like this one, may due to the combo of clothes, model and music, you’ve probably seen it already but it’s beautiful and worth seeing again, gorgeous Arizona Muse models YSL‘s S/S collection while moving around a palm tree to the sounds of Janelle Monae’s “Mushroom & Roses“.
