Postcard from Laos

Laos Insta

Hello everyone, hope you’ve all been good!

Here’s a very delayed postcard from my wonderful trip to Laos where I did nothing else than chillin with my family and friends, enjoyed one of the best cuisine’s I know, touristed, and relaxed in spa’s. Laos has a soft spot in my heart and if you’re tempted to visit a beautiful country which still has that untouched and wild thing to it, then I can strongly recommend you to go, but hurry, things are changing rapidly over there these days.

I just got back to London this morning and I’m so(!) ready to put summer holidays and bikinis behind and roll up those sleeves, work and fashion month here we come!!!

Sabaidee

Sabaidee, I thought Phuket was hot, but I can promise you Laos is even warmer, and I’ve been soaking up by various pools in Vientiane this week, the only place to be unless you’re hiding indoors, like most locals do, something I do understand though as the sun here is burning hot.
I’ve to admit dressing for humid 40 degrees isn’t that inspiring as what works best is floating fabrics and flat sandals, this day however I made a small attempt to put some more effort into it without melting away.

My little adventure has soon come to an end, tomorrow evening I’m heading back to Europe and London, so soon back to reality, see you there!

Top by Marni, denim skirt Whyred, sandals Celine, bracelets Proenza Schouler, bag Phillip Lim and Ray Ban’s.

Barefoot

I arrived to Bangkok today and had a look in a few stores, I was looking for something special I’ve had an eye on for a long time but today it all ended up in a blind chase, the hunt will continue tomorrow……

Yesterday’s outfit, simple, free and barefoot at Ho Phra Keo Pagoda Museum in Vientiane, dress from Zara

Bye bye Laos

Laos is over for this time, Bangkok next!

Network in Laos doesn’t work very fast or works at all, I’ve been looking around the whole day for something that at least connects, since I know locals here they gave me a secret password to connect to a Thai network. Finally I’m online again enjoying BeerLao and going through my mails. Haven’t seen much of the sun so far, there’s a heavy rain period going on which should have been over by now.

I’m wearing blouse Zara, shorts Levi’s

Sabaidee

I’m alive, slightly jet lagged but I’m always happy to be alive every time I step out of a flight. Had a 5 hour transfer in Bangkok before heading for Laos and I did what I always do when I’m at that airport, pedicure and massage, a foot massage is so wonderful after many hours on a flight and in this area they know how to do.Β Laos is as welcoming as usual, the people are so sweet and the food for me is the best I can get.

The flip flop parade continues, it’s actually the only foot wear you can wear unless you don’t mind getting your Prada’s destroyed in 5 minutes, these photos taken yesterday day after breakfast at a french bakery just opened by friends.
