I snapped the Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld several times in Paris, here straight off the Lanvin runway just before sunset, and oh what a true beauty she is. We all know she knows how to work the runway and in front of the camera, like in the recent Versace for H&M campaign and in Peter Lindbergh’s fantastic “Immortal love”, but in real life I find her even more striking.
Today I jumped on an early morning train and I’m back in home sweet London after a slightly hectic but fun weekend in Paris.
Enjoy Lanvin’s (dance moving) fall campaign for now, should at least wake you up or put a smile on your face on a Monday noon, Alber Elbaz has for sure some sense of humor.
Not so much updates today, sorry for that but I’ve been working quite a lot lately and simply needed to charge my batteries. Today I strolled along the Thames in the rainy wind, gosh sometimes a walk in fresh air is so good.
I’ve posted my picks of the week on Flingly and other articles if you’re interested in reading. Now, good night and may Monday be good to you!
Jeans Cheap Monday, boyfriend’s shirt and coat McQueen and Lanvin for H&M, boots Acne, bag Alexander Wang.
Yesterday eve was a blast, and so far this year has been pretty good, I simply have a good feeling about this year ahead. All my plans yesterday about booking a taxi before hand ended up in nowhere (did I mention getting wiser with the years?) and as they practically close down the traffic in the West End on New Year’s Eve I ended up sporting a taxi bike to get to the restaurant, not recommended in a short dress in December. After a fabulous dinner at the Spanish part of Aqua observing the firework at London Eye from the balcony we headed over to a night club to catch up with a group of friends.
I danced through the night in a dress from Lanvin for H&M, heels Cos, leather clutch American Apparel, ear cuff Line&Jo and pink lips.
Today I met up with my friend Kaz and spent some time around Bond Street, was hoping to shoot some people for Flingly but for some reason I didn’t see many of them, probably cause of the weather, the snow and cold is back in London.
I was happy my man left his new coat at home today so I could borrow it in the cold, yes it’s slightly big especially on the shoulders but it kind of worked with a belt and kept me warm.
Coat Lanvin for H&M, shoes Acne, belt vintage, snood American Vintage, bag Mulberry
This is what I danced in on Saturday night, didn’t have a a full outfit shot. I love this skirt from Lanvin for H&M and dressed it down with minimalism, silk top from Cos, chunky heels from Acne and my Alexander Wang bag.
I’ve done my first street style post on Flingly, I’m a newbie but a quick learner so my technical skills will improve I promise, check it out here if you’d like, now, back to work and have a lovely Monday morning.
Sorry guys for lousy updates this weekend, I’ve been busy testing my new camera and street shooting people for my new job.
Yesterday eve was a blast, after dinner at Yauatcha we ended up dancing the whole night at the Light Bar at the St.Martin Lane Hotel where the dj was fantastic, the scary faces of children is the roof for your notification. I completely fell for Elen’s nail color, the perfect Mink shade, she didn’t remember the brand but I will source that for sure.
I danced in my new skirt from Lanvin for H&M, silk top Cos, heels Acne and bag Alexander Wang, I’ll show you a proper image later on.
PS: This week we are giving away a bag from Mulberry for Target at Flingly, click in here to enter.
As you may notice I ended up at H&M today, 4 full bags but to my excuse only a fraction of it is mine, most of it is for my man and presents. But if he doesn’t fit the beautiful coat I’m tempted to keep it myself, I tried it on in the store and loved it, slightly oversized and the perfect length, no need to limit yourself to ladies wear when menswear can be worn in so many cool ways. Did you go and what did you get?
Stopped by Zara today and these goodies followed me home, a perfect high shine blouse with pockets and a pair of leggings with leather imitation on front side, I always loved the leggings from Zara, they don’t loose shape and last for a while, also tried on a pair of black flared pants but the fit didn’t feel 100%. Anyway, money saved and perhaps a great idea cause tomorrow……
the Lanvin for H&M will be in store and the doors open at 9am (England), I heard roomers that they already started queuing outside stores in London. Well, I’m gonna sleep in my own bed tonight, will you queue or are you tired of all the fuzz? They will have a queue system and hand out tickets, groups of 60 people and 16 groups in all, every group will have 15 min to shop, there will be no such system to enter the men’s collection. If you choose to go be mentally and physically prepared.
Oki, running out for dinner, turkish tonight, mmmm….
On Thursday this week Lanvin for H&M presented their Haute Couture Show in New York. The collection was for sale after the show and the money went to charity.
Among the models were celebrities like Vogue Nippon’s editor Anna Della Russo sporting the little pink ruffled dress and a grey poodle. See the show below.
Friday eve was spent at home with take away, wine, tv and candles, thursday eve ended up late in the night at Maddox so I felt a bit knocked out the whole day after.
While everyone seems to gushing about Lanvin for H&M women’s collection there must be some men out there who feel slightly left out. No reason for that though cause there are some really nice pieces in the men ‘s collection too. I will be queuing on the 23rd and not only for myself, knowing how crazy it may be I’ll need to split myself in 2. That gorgeous coat on top will be in store for £149.99.
Oki, time to say good night……
