Starting to get used to this island life and find myself waking up early morning feeling rested, must be the combo of warm, sunshine, relaxation and perhaps more importantly, early nights. Cannot recall last time I even considered calling it a day before midnight, well, here I do and it’s wonderful, perhaps a good routine to bring a long home…….

Ok, I know I probably will have to eat my own words within a week and I know I’ll regret that I’ve ever said this but I’m actually tired of wearing foot wear like Havaianas and sandals right now. The summer has been so wonderful and I’m still enjoying warm weather on the other part of the globe but I do kind of miss my heels back home, does that sound very awkward? Maybe I’m just simply ready to get back into my boots.
I’m not sure about Investing in new boots for fall for now but ever since I saw these chunky beauties from Acne (a slightly Daisy Duck feeling that also put me off a bit ) a few days after the opening of the Acne store in London I haven’t been able to forget them. I refused to try them on when the kind sales guy asked me if I wanted to, you can call that a rational or irrational reaction to not end up with an impulsive buying. Since I’m still hesitating if I really like them and don’t even know if they feel right on my feet or not I would need to find that out as soon as I’m back.
As for now I’m gonna feel blessed and lucky under the sun and keep the flip flops on a few more days…..
Finally the sun decided to join me at least for a day. After a dip in the pool at Lao Plaza Hotel I had a walk along the Mekong river back home to get ready for festivities for the night.
The Mekong is beautiful, maybe not by normal means, it’s muddy and not surrounded by only beauty but there’s something magical about it, passing through so many countries making existence and life possible, the light you get here during sunset is just that, magical.

I’m alive, slightly jet lagged but I’m always happy to be alive every time I step out of a flight. Had a 5 hour transfer in Bangkok before heading for Laos and I did what I always do when I’m at that airport, pedicure and massage, a foot massage is so wonderful after many hours on a flight and in this area they know how to do. Laos is as welcoming as usual, the people are so sweet and the food for me is the best I can get.
The flip flop parade continues, it’s actually the only foot wear you can wear unless you don’t mind getting your Prada’s destroyed in 5 minutes, these photos taken yesterday day after breakfast at a french bakery just opened by friends.

The reason why I only post outfits from the evening and therefore they are dark and blurry is that most of my daily outfits in Barcelona consist of the simple triple, bikini, top and Hawaianas, the only thing a girl needs down here except for a handbag and sunglasses off course…..
