One week to go before Christmas and when I woke up this morning the number of prepared gifts in my house was equal to none, same procedure as every year I’d say. So this whole day I devoted to Christmas shopping and though I had to practically fight my way through crowds of people in the streets of London, I got a little into that Christmas spirit which to me is pretty equal to stress, in a good way though. Anyway, stress or not, at the end I cooled down with a glass of champagne, caviar and oyster’s at Harrods, perfect after a shopping spree. Happy Saturday eve everyone!
Met up with my friend Julie and scanned the shoe sales at Harrods, I’m not very impressed by the way they present it though, it’s painful to see beautiful luxury shoes being thrown around like if it’s a car boot sale, and not very attractive for a potential buyer, Harrods read this!
It’s funny, after experiencing last week cold in Oslo, London now feels like spring to me, so in a confused moment I jumped into shorts today and survived. Cropped Levi’s, knit Reiss, coat Oasis, boots Acne, bag Mulberry.
Change of plans today, ended up hanging around Harrods and brunching there instead. The perfect place to get into Christmas spirit, the beautiful decorations and smells and the food hall is simply fantastic. If I wasn’t going back to Norway this Christmas I would have done all the grocery shopping there, delicatessen and temptations everywhere, that reminds me, I’m leaving in 2 days and have billions on things that need to be done and haven’t thought of packing yet. Will post more later today, now work!
I felt in the mood of flared leg pants today and dug out my old jeans from Acne, I know they are not the most flared legs pants out there but for someone who is used to stick their legs into skinny jeans it’s quite a different feeling. Met up with my friend Sarah on Brompton Road and had a great brunch followed by a swing into Harrods were we fell in love with a gorgeous sheep fur jacket from Acne in a mix of black and grey pieces. Ended up at Laduree where Sarah bought her evening food, she had me staring when she bought 4 cakes for 2 people, not bad for a petite woman ha!

London Fashion Week is over and yesterday I enjoyed a lazy day London with my mum. We popped into Harrods and looked for handbags, stopped by Zara and I must say they have really nice stuff coming in now, cashmere coats, long knitted cardigans, silk blouses, skater style dresses and skirts and loads of more formal dressing. For those of you out there looking to update you work wardrobe for the winter and don’t want to spend a fortune can easily find key pieces there.
The light was so beautiful so we had a walk through Hyde Park before we headed home to get ready for a late evening, dinner at Arbutus followed by drinks out, wow, we had fun!
Pants and leather jacket Topshop, t-shirt and boots Acne, scarf Cos and bag Alexander Wang
As was seen on my photos yesterday I was holding a cute little Burberry bag in my arms. Burberry launched their first make-up range Burberry Beauty in July this year and after I’ve heard so much positive about it I decided to give it a go. What I can say is that it is fantastic, the color palette is perfect for this season, so natural, easy to apply and on top it comes in beautiful small Burberry boxes with even the Burberry pattern on the lipstick. I got the Sheer Eye Shadow Rosewood No.09, Light Glow Blush Peony Blush No.04 and the perfect dark lipstick Lip Cover Brick Red No.19.
For those who don’t like to wear heavy make-up and prefer a fresh look I can hardly recommend it. There’s also a video below where you can watch for yourself and get convinced. The range is available in Harrods exclusively, in store and online.
You constantly have collaborations in the world of fashion, some of them a great match other’s not. The French shoe maestro Christian Louboutin has been busy the last year and given Barbie a makeover and now a new collaboration has been launched, King of French Patisserie Ladurée and Louboutin. Louboutin X Ladurée special edition macaroons are available in London at Ladurée Harrods and Burlington Arcade Gallery and comes in a box of 6 macaroons.
I love Laduree macaroons with or without Louboutins contribution, especially the liquorice or caramel ones and I’m sure that this collaboration won’t make them less tasteful. In fact there’s no waist here, eat the lovely macaroni’s and save the Louboutin box for jewellery or simply use it as decoration.
