Woop woop, the summer sales has finally kicked off in Europe, but since I’ve become such a sensible shopper(!?) I’m only gonna get what I’ve been eyeing for a long time and not look sideways. But when I stumbled over this Obsedia beauty by Givenchy the other day that has been on my wishlist for a year, I didn’t hesitate for a second, the khaki color is perfect as I’m feeling a little army’ish these days.
After a week in the heat in high heels or not-yet-worn-in-shoes my feet are in desperate need of a pair of comfortable flat sandals. My choice has landed on these rubber sandals by Givenchy, incredible comfortable and the price tag isn’t so bad (£145), but then again I cant decide, black or creme? Yes I know, all this important dilemmas….
Here are some of my favorite bags and details spotted during fashion weeks, some last season, some classics and some new, not very surprisingly I seem to be drawn to Celine’s and Givenchy’s, but who could blame me. Except that I’m very into white bags these days the Obsedia bag by Givenchy has been hunting me for a long time, and I’m tempted to strike…..
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Givenchy’s Obsedia bracelets and bags have been on my wishlist a long time, I was hoping to come across anything on sale this Christmas but no. Last year’s Obsedia collection has now turned into classics and will come in new seasonal colors every season, so for me it’s time to start saving!
Oki, I’m just about to jump on a plane to Oslo to celebrate my fab mum and to check out what’s left of Oslo Fashion Week, see you there!

Madonna claimed the thrown back and threw a quite convincing half time show during yesterday’s Super Bowl (Gaga, step aside!). I’d say she absolutely rocked it in several Givenchy Haute Couture in a spectacular performance duetting with LMFAO, MIA, Nicki Minaj and Cee Lo Green. See the whole show here.
Masculine tailoring continues in pre-fall 2012 collections and one of my favorites are by Givenchy. Who would resist the beautiful coats though the key item in this collection is definitely the boots worn in almost every single look. I was never really a fan of Isabel Marant’s knee-high fringed boots this season, felt too costumey, these however in leather got my attention, so cool!!!
I’m heading to a wine tasting later today and a dinner out with friends and my fab mum, just wish I had these goodies to compliment my loose cropped wool pants from Cos, damn!
Wool top by Emilio De La Morena, clutch Proenza Schouler, lip gloss no.08 by Burberry and Givenchy leather pumps.
Another favorite of the Paris shows is Givenchy were Riccardo Tisci has taken a far step away from panthers and flower printed pencil skirt silhouettes in dark colors and stepped into a tailored minimalist world in a softer color scale of pink, creme and khaki in sheer fabrics. The references from surfers and mermaids are not so hard to see if you look at the detailed upper parts and floating details on the hemlines. Once again, notice the footwear, perfect clean stiletto sandal? See the whole collection at style.com.
I could stare my eyes out at Givenchy’s fall collection, though I wasn’t totally in love back in March I’m definitely now. What I love the most with this collection are the long silhouettes, voluminous upper parts combined with narrow lower parts, the beautiful embroidered jackets, knitted and silky jumpers, the colors scheme and the mix with patent leather, all so perfect, and unfortunately attached to a juicy prize tag or vice versa……
As for the Panther glasses, could be a hit this coming fall but I think I’ll pass.
Fall campaigns 2011 are here and as usual I find the odd and quirky ones the most appealing, here are some new favorites.
For Givenchy, Naomi Campbell and Rob Evans working on their panther roars on a printed cushion in a corner, photographed by Mert & Marcus.
Miu Miu‘s Hailee Steinfeld working the ladylike sophisticated wardrobe from scratching her eye on the railways to enjoying a slice of pizza, photographed by Bruce Weber.
Raquel Zimmermann for YSL, photographed by Inez van Lamsveerde and Vinoodh Matadin, nothing really odd, except that she’s posing in the window on the 31st floor of a midtown skyscraper in NY, but I like it!
