Picks

Haven’t had time for shopping nor keeping track on what’s in store lately but when my mum visited this weekend I managed to get a quick over look and here are a few favorites that I wouldn’t mind at all now when it feels like spring is here. The silk set on the left by Topshop Boutique is already safely stored in my wardrobe and will be a winner worn as a whole paired with high heels and a clutch, or the perfectly wide high waisted trousers worn with a cropped top and midriff.

Favorites

At this time of year I’m always in need of a good hand creme and these 2 are new favorites of mine but I can’t pick a winner as I love them both. CLARINS Creme Jeunesse des Main 100ml (£18) and OPI Avoplex 120ml (£17).

Budget favorites

I wouldn’t mind any of these goodies, all for a very reasonable price, trousers by Nowhere, printed shirt Topshop, and a collar necklace from Asos with a Marni’ish feel to it, perfect to spice up a knitted jumper, like Frida.

Cos favorites

Some nice stuff at Cos right now, I already have the jeans and could wear them 24/7 as they are loose fit and so comfy, the cardigan with silk front looks promising, a little like Givenchy minus the panther don’t you think?

Hair stuff

As I often get asked what hair products I use and how I style my hair I find it easier to do it all in one post, though I’ve tipped about the Kitoko oil before.

I’ve used this series from Kerastase for years and seems to be, from what I’ve tried, the only one that can control my unruly, fine, curly hair without loosing all volume at the same time, I use the mask instead of conditioner in order to moisture as much as possible.
I always use the creme to protect against heat followed by either the volume spray from Loreal or the mousse from Kerastase when I blow dry my hair with a mid size roller brush, and I never use hairspray, just don’t like the feeling of it.

Also one thing I could never live without is my brush from Mason Pearson, always carry it along in my handbag, a winner!

Hmmm, though H&M’s Fall lookbook wasn’t really up my street for sure they have some goodies coming in, leather pieces and soft hairy jumpers, yes please! Wouldn’t mind these 3 pieces in my wardrobe, in store from August.

Balenciaga A/W 11-12

At 9 am this morning I was glued to my screen to watch the Balenciaga show live and here’s some of the looks which pretty much represent the rest of the collection. I really like this even though I find some of the looks a bit hard to pull off but judged as individual pieces a completely different thing.

One keyword, leather, plenty of it, as jackets, trousers, fishnets, as patches and even some knitted detailed leather jackets, tops and bags. There were many of the floral patterned just-below-the-knee-skirts that I’m not over the moon about but I really think it works with the leather. The colors overall goes in black, white, blues, gray, burgundy and silver metallics and those booties, please send my way!
