One of my favorite models, Suzie Bird, had her career kicking off pretty well after being the face of Celine’s most wanted pre-fall collection back in January, and she’s now fronting Zara’s August lookbook. These are some of my favorite looks, casual, cool, affordable and in store now.
Lanvin Fall 2011 Campaign
Today I jumped on an early morning train and I’m back in home sweet London after a slightly hectic but fun weekend in Paris.
Enjoy Lanvin’s (dance moving) fall campaign for now, should at least wake you up or put a smile on your face on a Monday noon, Alber Elbaz has for sure some sense of humor.
Richardson doll
I couldn’t other than smile this morning when I saw jewelry brand David Webb’s Fall 2011 campaign lensed by the miniature doll himself Terry Richardson, in collaboration with Carine Roitfeld. You may wonder like me, what the half naked Richardson doll is is doing there alongside Eniko Mahlik, but it for sure shows the man doesn’t take himself too serious, not that we ever doubted that anyway.
Lane Crawford Fall 2011 Campaign
How cool is the the Asian retail giant Lane Crawford‘s Fall 2011 campaign, featuring only asian models this time around like Liu Wen, Fei Fei Sun, Ming Xi, Shu Pei and Xiao Wen Ju photographed by Mert & Marcus and styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve. It’s like every gorgeous piece jumps right at you, and that gorgeous Givenchy jacket in the right corner, no need to say more……
Girls on Bikes
Back in February Phillip Lim said that his fall 2011 collection was a celebration to city-girls-on-the-go and girls on bikes was his reference. Though I liked this collection very much I couldn’t really visualize his floating fabrics, heels and baggy pants on a bike, I mean in real life. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why he has released a video of his fall collection, to convince us, here’s “Girls On Bikes”. Works for me…..
Jil Sander Campaign Fall 2011

Jil Sander’s fall campaign is out photographed by Willy Vanderperre under Raf Simons control and vision. Though it’s a bit dark I like it, it’s quirky and plays with geometry, a subject which is close to my heart and I much rather prefer odd ads like this than many of the super glossy campaigns with themes you have a feeling you’ve seen before.
Topshop Fall 2011
Here are some of my favorite looks in Topshop‘s lookbook Fall 2011, those metallic trousers look interesting, the same goes for that white jacket and the beautiful combo of brown and blues…..
H&M Fall 2011
Though I’m not totally sold on H&M’s Fall lookbook modelled by Karlie Kloss there are some goodies in this high street collection, among my favorites a gorgeous long camel coat. All will be in store in September and October for a very reasonable price.
See the lookbook in movement below featuring Karlie Kloss and Josefine Ekman.
Isabel Marant – Full Show
Collections sometimes grow on me when I watch the shows in motion and every piece comes alive, like Isabel Marant’s Fall collection. I’m still not convinced about the boots and all the costumy fringes but I’m loving all the denim and notice the cool metallic necklaces, there might be a risk I’ll bring out the indian in myself next fall.
Have a lovely Friday noon!
