Having your beauty sleep interrupted by a hungry baby screaming way too early every morning surely does nothing good for your mirror reflection, and certainly not for the eye area. These two products have helped me to reduce puffy eyes these last 2 months along with litres of water, thumbs up!
3 favourites of mine right now that I especially like wearing with blue denim!
Estée Lauder’s Nail Lacquer in So Vain, except for the exceptional beautiful bottle this is the perfect nude’ish nail polish and only one coat is needed, launching in March 2013.
Hoop earrings by Topshop, not too chunky or heavy (for actually being worn!).
Leather cuff by Balenciaga, similar here.
I rarely try new beauty products, I’ve already found products that work for me, hence I don’t mention it much here but as I got to try these 2 products last week and ended up being happy with the result I decided to add them to my bathroom closet.
Estee Lauder Illuminator Serum which add some radiant and reduces redness and a great lip balm from Dermalogica, both good for sensitive skin.
Not long ago Liu Wen was announced to be Estee Lauder’s first Asian spokesperson alongside Constance Jablonski. Later on Maybelline announced another Chinese model Shu Pei to be the face of their brand. During the last global fashion week the use of Asian models has increased and several luxury brands casted more Asian models than ever before.
Vogue has largely ignored the use of Asian models in the past but in Vogue US December issue eight Asian models are featured and according to the magazine they are “redefining traditional concepts of beauty” in the 2 page spread photographed by Steven Meisel.
Why took so long and why right now? Well, who knows, Asian economy and consumer luxury spending are growing which might have forced the fashion and beauty industry to have a rethink or perhaps they just woke up one day and suddenly realized what Asian beauty was about. For whatever reason underlying it was really about time and I’m hoping it’s not just a trend all forgotten by next season.

On days when I feel colorless my trick is a bright lipstick, it can lift any black or boring outfit and not much more make-up needed. I’ve been looking around for my perfect pink lipstick, lipgloss+long hair = a very bad combination on windy days. The make-up lady tried one on me to prove me it actually was long lasting and hydrating, and it really did, from Estee Lauder Signature 52, Brilliant Pink.
PS: The trick as well for lipstick to stay in place is to use a concealer first and a lip-pen in a lighter shade.

I’ve been asked what beauty products I use and instead of replying to each of you why not make a post about it. I’ve got sensitive skin so I don’t experiment much with different products and stick to something if it works for me. I’ve used all these products for years and they are my absolute favorites out there. If I was sent to a lonely island and got to bring one with me it would be the Skin Smoothing Cream from Dermalogica, it’s fantastic. Also recommend the Skin Prep Scrub and Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica, they are simply great products.
