Being a black cat and all I can’t help loving an all black editorial from time to time. Some may say black looks don’t translate that well through images like power colours and prints, but if it comes in a gorgeous B&W package like this it certainly speaks to me, and yes, finding it inspiring too. Vogue Paris March 2014, Karlie Kloss photographed by David Sims, and styling by Emmanuelle Alt.
Vogue Paris what takes you so long to hit counters in London, cause I can’t wait to dive into this February issue that looks fully packed of inspiration. Especially this editorial styled by Emmanuelle Alt modelled by Andrea Diaconu, that includes cool casual denim styling, trench coats, streets of NY, a great model, Dries, hairy Celine sandals (better get used to these I’m afraid), and stunning images by David Sims. Absolutely love this spread!

OMG, ok, I promise not to turn this blog into a video blog but I couldn’t help charing this rare clip with you that I came across yesterday. 2012 is obviously the year when the Vogue department want to show us that it doesn’t take itself too serious (see Vogue Italia’s IVC video), and now the creme de la creme of Vogue Paris in this hilarious video fronted by Emmanuelle Alt. Now I just wonder what funny tricks Anna Wintour is up to……
My next buy might be a pair of white denims, I spotted many of the embrodiered jeans by Isabel Marant while in Paris but I’m craving for a plain pair like always chic Emmanuelle Alt, that would also look great tucked into a pair of boots. These, also by Marant, might be a candidate but I don’t like spending too much on a pair of jeans when you can find the perfect fit with a much better price tag, any of you lovely readers have any great tip?
Oki, gotta run, a delayed birthday dinner at a restaurant with a view, can’t wait!
Sorry guys for bad updates from Paris but I really haven’t had much time, I’ve got so many images but please be patient, they will come. I’m heading out towards the Celine show now and I’m already running late, might be a chance I won’t make it. Anyway, meanwhile, until I check in later today, enjoy these fashionable Vogue editor’s, Emmanuelle Alt, Giovanna Battaglia, Anna Wintour and Anna Dello Russo. I’m so amazed that Emmanuelle manage to wear and all black outfit in the high summer heat while the rest of us are melting away, she really stays true to herself. Giovanna Battaglia was such a striking woman btw and she loved the Acne leather skirt I wore yesterday, will show you images later. Ciao!
Ok, since I’ve already included Emmanuelle Alt’s covers of Vogue Paris since she began let me introduce you to her 5’th one. This one, a close-up of the Princess of Monaco, Charlotte Casiragh, photographed by Mario Testino. It’s obvious the year of the royals and though she’s a gorgeous girl, and it’s a beautiful portrait, I find this cover pretty boring and would have expected more dynamic….. But I like the hair and make-up though, not the typical glossy-royalty.
Morning ya’ll, after a few wonderful days and a night of traveling I’m back in London which is not that bad either but I’ve got plenty of things to catch up on.
Anyway, loving this 60’s style August cover of Vogue Paris featuring Lara Stone and lenced by Inez and Vinoodh. Refreshing from Emmanuelle Alt’s previous 3 close-up covers and proves that her work cannot be called predictable.

Emmanuelle Alt continues perhaps playing it safe by putting big names on the cover of Vogue Paris, her second issue, May 2011’s cover stars Kate Moss and I must say I personally like this much more that her first cover. Having that said I fell totally in love with her first spread so I can’t wait to see what’s hiding inside this issue.
This is Emmauelle Alt‘s first cover spread in French Vogue’s April issue which definitely to me has Alt’s stamp on it, rock’n roll bohemian chic and so different from the cover itself which I really didn’t get but I assume she simply played it safe. This spread takes me into someone’s travel diary and make me long even for for a warm vacation.
In fact I’m going away 2 weeks at the end of April but still have no clue where, the current sad circumstances on this planet right now have reduced the possible sunny and safe options down to the minimal. I’ve always longed for Brazil though, any other suggestions?
Here’s Emmanuelle Alt’s first French Vogue cover featuring Gisele Bunchen and personally I’m not crazy about it and I can’t see much of Emmanuelle’s chic and rocky influence going on, but hey, I love her and I’m pretty sure she’s gonna do better in the time to come.
But I’m pretty sure this issue’s gonna sell anyway and as the NY magazine The Cut said : “But Alt’s basically got Gisele in her bra and panties here so how can she go wrong?”
Cannot argue that….
Emmanuelle Alt couldn’t have been more french and by this I mean in a positive way, she seems so down to earth. She also says that Topshop has the best jeans and I totally agree on that but I also love the Cheap Monday jeans, perhaps someone should sent her a pair to try out.

After weeks of speculations it was announced today that Emmanuelle Alt will be the one to replace Carine Roitfeld as Editor in Chief for Vogue Paris. Emmanuelle represent that parisian rock chic look that I love and I’m pretty sure she knows what she’s doing, to sum up, great news!
