Jeans, a checked shirt and slippers, something I’ve been sporting a lot on the go lately but never managed to catch on camera. Not this time around either apparently as I had already jumped into my booties by the time I managed to bring the camera out. Speaking of these Dolce heels, I’ve received so many mails from you readers about where to find them, and I can gladly tell you they stock same style model at Net-a-Porter right now.
Dressing the last month has been a little challenging, you know when you’re at a stage when it’s not really clear to people if it’s actually a bump you’re carrying or if you just had jolly days with food. Well, what to do, thankly I love maxi silhouettes and oversized jumpers but last week I dropped it all and left home like I normally would without “that” in mind.
I love discovering “new” shopping secrets and great addresses for restaurants, which never seems to have an end in London. Just when I thought I had a pretty good idea of the best boutiques I came across Larizia, in St. Johns Wood a couple of weeks ago. A hidden gem of a boutique where you’ll find a great selection of clothes, shoes and accessories by Celine, Phillip Lim, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga amongst others. This cute little boutique is definitely worth stopping by (also during sales!), but if you’re not around you’ll find some of the pieces at Farfetch, as it’s part of that boutique-network as well.
Hi everyone, my first week of holiday is over and I’m back in a summery London which isn’t bad at all. After a week in mostly flat sandals I’ve now moved into my new beauties by Dolce & Gabbana. Yes, I know most of you advised me to get the closed toes ankle boot, but I’d already fallen for these that I’ve seen several times on Emmanuelle Alt’s fashionable feet. Now, next stop a strongly needed visit to my hair dresser, happy Friday!
Ok, I’m not a huge fan of Dolce & Gabbana‘s vegetable printed spring collection, those chilis, onions and tomatoes have still not convinced me, but I do have to admit I love the spring campaign!!! It’s real, warm and sunny and brings you on a journey to the Italian coast in pure Italian style fronted by Monica Bellucci and Bianca Balti, photographed by Giampaolo Sgura.
Happy Saturday everyone!
That prints and patterns are some designers vision of spring 2012 is quite clear by now and according to some the more mismatch the better. Not very surprisingly the prints continued on Missoni’s, Pucci’s and Marni’s runway in Milan this weekend, but Dolce & Gabbana topped them all continuing where Stella McCartney and Prada left the fruit disk last season and introduced vegetables. How would you feel about a chili printed dress, or how about onions, tomatos and cucumber? I don’t doubt these prints will be a hit among some but for me a big no, see the whole collection here.
Call me boring or perhaps I’m lacking humor but my personal favorite this weekend from Milan is Jil Sander’s SS12 collection where Raf Simons have let paisley, gingham patterns and all-white-shirts-looks replace last seasons successful stripes and color blocking. Perhaps not the most exiting collection by Simons but it’s a clean, fresh and minimal way to include patterns and prints, were the long, narrow silhouettes and graphic printed jumpers continues where his A/W 11 collection ends, see the whole collection here.
(Except for the insanity in London right now) Bum bags! Ever since I spotted them on Dolce & Gabbana’s runway back in February they’ve been on my mind. The D&G ones for fall/winter might feel a bit too sparkly and “stary” for my taste but Danish designer Yvonne Koné makes fabulous bum-and-belt-bags in gorgeous soft lamb leather. The beautiful girl below snapped by Stockholm Streetstyle demonstrates perfectly how I’d like to wear mine, love!
Dolce & Gabbana sent down their donnas on the runway today in Milan wearing maxi dresses, brogues with socks and bum bags. I love this unpredictable combination though I find it hard to swallow the star prints that seems to be the red line through the whole collection. Having that said I’ve never been a D&G fan but these bum bags look fantastic!

Came across this video from Dolce&Gabbana from 92 featuring most of the 90’s supermodels, Helena, Carla, Claudia, Cindy and so on. These women moved like cats, looked fantastic and really knew how to put on a show. Can’t say I find any of it inspiring to wear but it made me smile.
