Midi

Many thanks for uplifting words on my previous outfit post, and great feedback regarding honesty, something I intend to keep all the way (no conspiracy club here no).

Bodycon midi dresses are btw new favourites in my wardrobe, and super comfy with an expanding bump. Except for a few midi dresses I already had I’ve bought some extras on the high street just to have more options, and as long as they are stretchy there’s no need to look in the maternity departments(!), just saying.

Tartan

Woop woop, Happy Monday Morning and I hope you’ve all had a fab weekend!
On my side my bump is growing a lot these days, and though I know it will certainly get bigger the remaining 3 months I already feel like I’ve swallowed a basket ball, where will this end? Those silhouettes, ala Proenza Schouler, I pictured I would wear this fall feel a million miles away, as fitted just feels the best for now, and the skirts in my wardrobe unluckily don’t come with elastic waistlines (more elastic waistlines to the people please!).

Anyway, here’s what I wore a few days back, my favourite new jeans by J Brand, wool jacket by Hofmann, boots Isabel Marant, wool scarf Ralph Lauren, bag by Proenza and bracelets by Monica Vinader and Cooee.

Homies

Today I’ve been a busy bee running between meetings and press views, hence my non-existing updates, but here’s what I’ve been wearing at least. Lately I’ve totally adopted everything comfortable, soft college jumpers, knitted dresses and lower heels, who would have thought?

Pumpkin

Another week has past and I’v been a really lousy blogger, I’m really sorry for that but in my defends I’ve been spending a little time with family, which sometimes just has to be 1′st priority!

Sartorial-wise my growing baby bump does limit my outfit choices to a degree, and I’ve discovered that most of my tops and jumpers, no matter how oversized they are, won’t work much longer in terms of length, unless I want to flash bare skin in the November chill. Luckily I’ve stocked upon longer and slimmer knitted jumpers and dresses, and you’ll probably see me living in these on colder days ahead along with this coat by Mango, my favourite budget coat in stores this season.

Home & Away

Fashion month is over for now and I’m back in London where there’s finally time to unpack my suitcases instead of repacking them. Suddenly everyday-things like having breakfast with morning news on TV, chilling with good reads in my sofa, cooking, not to mention sleeping in my own bed are the things I appreciate doing right now, home sweet home.

I had a blast in Paris though and since the weather decided to be wonderfully warm and sunny on my first day there I sported bare legs in my hairy new boots. I wore knit by IRO, skirt (found as dress here) and boots (similar IM model here) by Isabel Marant, bag by Proenza Schouler, sunnies by Tom Ford, letter earring by MariaFrancescaPepe, watch Tagheuer, bracelets by Cooee, Hermes and Monica Vinader.

Fall stuff

I’m back in London after a few days constantly on my feet, today and next few days I will take my time to rest, and go through tons of images and impressions from the last couple of weeks, before I turn my nose to Paris later this week.

Sorry for not posting many outfit images but they will come for sure, like this one about a week too late, when I headed for the Acne show, wearing a mix of Acne and others. This wrap skirt is by the way is one of my favourite purchases recently, the rusty green colour screams fall, and since I bought it one size up than I normally do I can probably wear it all through fall and with tights when it gets colder.
And oh, say hello to my new patent boots, a purchase from NY, with a perfectly fierce pointy toe, a little mod’s, just the way I like it.

Humid

Saturday in NY was super humid and I was so glad I’d slipped into loose pants and flat shoes when I stepped out. Initially I wanted to wear these new silk pants by Tibi with heeled sandals, but on the day it was simply not an option in the heat, and it was pure freedom laxing around in this outfit.
I wore silk-crepe pants and top by Tibi, shoes by Miu Miu, old bag Helmut Lang, bracelet Cooee and Ray Ban’s.

Now I’m back in a chilly grey London where Fashion Week continues tomorrow, what can I say, home sweet home…..

Bicolor

One of my finds during the sales was this skirt by Balenciaga, I totally fell for the shiny fabric and shape which kind of has a life of it’s own. Keeping the short length in mind I decided to wear it with flats to tone it down a little earlier this week, but this skirt has a million styling opportunities so it won’t be the last time you’ll see it here for sure.

Volume

Ok, I know, lots of jumpers and trousers lately, but it hasn’t been warm enough to wear much else. Without sounding too negative I’m actually happy I didn’t stock up many summery things for hot days in the city this spring, how sad would that be, just seeing them hanging there. But I really hope I’m wrong and that things will come around, half summer in and half summer left today.

Anyway, this is what I wore on Saturday, apparently I felt like volume on that day, but I blame the wind for the unintended voluminous wild hair. Silk trousers from Topshop Boutique, jumper from Nowhere, shoes Alexander Wang, bag Celine, bracelets Cooee and Ray Ban’s.

Safari

I’m so into shades of khaki’s right now, beige, olive green and pale earth tones, you name it. These colors are relaxing to me in a way or perhaps it’s because the pieces I’ve got are pretty laid back (?). I really wanted to wear more colors this summer but been completely put off by the gray skies, when is it all gonna stop, I ask myself while listening to heavy rain smashing against my roof windows.
Cloudy skies or not, yesterday I stopped by my old hood, lunched with David in Soho, who also snapped me (thanks hun!), and later got trapped on the newly started sales, but that’s a different story that is not yet over.

Camo

We all have a few favorite pieces in our wardrobe that we use season after season, the challenge in this matter to me is to squeeze as many different looks out of each of my favorite piece as possible without having the feeling I’m repeating myself too often. But sometimes you cannot avoid it, we all have our favorites, and honestly I could wear this combo of my old skirt by Acne, parka and heels everyday this cloudy summer. You’ve seen it all before, except the top, the perfect tie dyed camouflage blouse from Mango, a real budget bargain in store now.

Thursday

On Thursday eve I was out and about in the London night and I jumped in my good old Louboutin’s, they are so beautiful, but needless to say killers for my feet, well any feet I guess? I wore these silk trousers I got a couple of months ago from Topshop Boutique, my mum convinced me in the fitting room to get them and now there are no regrets (thanks mum!), loving the tailored balloon shape and the high waist, would really like to pair them with a cropped top and sandals another day.

Mini

Length of dresses can sometimes be discussed, I mean I love my mini’s but sometimes there’s a very tiny line between a dress or top, like this silk top I got last week labeled “dress” in store. With my 5ft 8in the dress didn’t cover enough for me to be comfortable wearing it like a normal mini, especially cause of the light fabric. When something is as mini as this my “trick” is to wear it with cropped leggings, and voila, any wind throw or bending situation solved.

I wore this on a super hot day this week, silk dress from Topshop Boutique, loafers by Acne, watch Michael Kors, bracelet Cooee, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.

The color yellow

A conversation with a friend
Me: “Hmm, it’s quite yellow….”
Friend: “Yep, no doubt about that ….”
Me: “I mean, it’s really really yellow, in your face yellow…..”
Friend: “Yes, but it’s cute, and your colors can handle it. I could never wear this color myself, my blond complexion could never pull it off.”
Me: “And why’s that? The way I see it that’s exactly what would suit you when you’re blond and fair!”

So I guess I’m not the only one having second thoughts about this color, anyway I finally got convinced to keep this jumper, though I’ve never been a fan of sharp yellows and always preferred the washed out scale. Now, as I’ve already taken a step outside my comfort-color-zone I’m probably soon gonna break the only “don’t” color-mix I have, pairing black and yellow, suddenly I just think it works, and aren’t rules made to be broken?

Yesterday’s outfit when I headed for Friday drinks followed by dinner at L’Etranger, I wore a denim skirt by Acne, new jumper by Altuzarra, bracelet Cooee, watch Tagheuer, bag and shoes by Celine.

Mini necklaces

To those of you who follow my blog it’s not a secret that I’m fan of Cooee’s plexi bracelets which are cool pieces for a good penny. As for necklaces I like it extremely simple, everyday jewellery that is delicate and almost invisible, like these beautiful mini necklaces, a collab between Anine Bing and Cooee that comes in silver, rhodinated and gold.
