Chunky wedges and high heels can come and go as much as they like, but when it comes to investing in open toe staples I intend to spend long summer days in, chic comfort will always be a winner.
Personal favourites of mine this season are these wedges by Chloé that would go along with anything casual or not, while adding a pop to all other things monochrome.
One of these pairs will for sure be joining me on a tropical escape some day very soon.

Yours for £560 and you can find them here and here.

It’s not often I jump on the print wagon, and certainly not when the colour red is involved, but it was love at first sight back in February, when then Gucci’s newly appointed Creative Director Alessandro Michele, served us geeky-chic seventies vibes and ruffles, that instantly got me onboard.

I’ve been wearing this floral ensemble, signed by the latter, already more than many others of my wardrobe treasures, and will keep on trying for different ways, though varieties are not endless. Anyway, layering over trousers was not invented yesterday, but that’s just what I will do this season to get the most out of my favourite dresses, shorter and longer hems.
And then you’ve got the ruffles… Be prepared, it’s gonna be one of the key trend words come 2016.

I know how to appreciate a great biker jacket when I see one, and it feels like I’ve been searching around forever for a more oversized model with a little length. So when I came across this beauty by Joseph on sales the other day I didn’t hesitate very long. Except for the soft leather I guess I fell for the collar which makes it a little more snuggy and dressy in a way. As for the oversize feature I have no other choice than wait until my pregnancy is over, oh mid February may you come quicker than soon!

Woop woop, hope you all had a fabulous weekend so far,  and luckily there’s still some time left of it. Sadly the London weather hasn’t been very generous lately, cloudy and grainy, and I can’t recall when we last experienced blue skies, which make me almost miss the clear, bright and cold Scandinavian winters (well, just almost!).
Anyway, this is how I looked last week on an active day out and about in town, hence the footwear and comfy layers. Wishing you all a great Sunday noon!

If I said I love getting dressed these days I would be lying, I can easily forget about most things in my wardrobe for now, except from a very few jeans, tops and dresses that are sort of being circulated. And while we are at it, telling the truth I mean, it’s not always easy to embrace all changes to your body while your reflection in the mirror is moving further and further away from yourself.
BUT, being blessed with a strong health, a good spirit, and the light at the end of the tunnel coming closer makes up for it all (something I’m being told all the time!).
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend and have one or two on me, yeah!

Chloe’s Elsie

Todays “little” Tuesday wish is this Elsie bag by Chloe that has long time been hiding in the back of my mind, loving both these beautiful bags with golden hardware that I would wear with leather and denim right away. If interested you’ll find the houndstooth tweed version here (£1065) and the beaded leather version here (£1872).

Ok, I could never call myself a fun dresser as I personally find the strict and clean style esthetique more appealing, but it doesn’t mean I don’t admire people who dare to play around with expressions and colors and rocks it, just like Miroslava Duma did on the day of Chloe in Paris wearing Chloe fall 2011 paired with a necklace by Venessa Arizaga, shoes by Fendi and a huge beanie as a cherry on top.

Chloe Resort 2012

Images for Chloe’s Resort Collection 2012 are shot in true street style spirit, wonderful to see garments come to life in a more real environment, and in a way I think it helped this collection which was put together by Chloe’s design team since Hannah MacGibbon has left the building. Reflected by this the collection consist more of reworked classics and not pushing new ideas but there are many dreamy pieces and looks in there for sure.

That cape

If you fancy Chloé’s heavenly patchwork wool cape coat (I do) that was seen on the fall runway back in March you’ll find it on Luisaviaroma with a not very unexpected juicy prize tag of £2230.
Sadly I’m not really sure if this qualify for a DIY project, could easily end up just wrong, anyone’s up for the challenge?

I’ve said it before, I’m not an espadrille nor wedge fan but I think I’m converting, which is a very dangerous thing as there are many cool ones out there right now, like these from Chloe, yes please! You’ll find them here.

A reminder

After months of fall collections bombarding us it’s easy to forget there’s a season in between at least it’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I did not go all crazy about Chloe’s fall collection but I really liked the spring collection back in October so I’ve digged into my archive and think I like it even more now, feels so refreshing. Chloe was a contributer to the ballerina trend we’ve seen lots of this year but there are so many other elements in it as well, like the fitted tops, blouses, shorts and sandals and the good thing it’s accessible in store or it can just be used as inspiration. Like the gorgeous leather shorts above, love them but they come for a juicy price of £1200 but you’ll find same style at other brands like Phillip Lim and highstreet like Maje. Still waiting for the sandals though, they look interesting….

Chloe A/W 11-12

Chloe’s fall collection 11-12 featured a lot of python and animal prints which really isn’t my cup of tea but I love these lederhosen and the colorful cape.

See the whole collection here.

The hunt!

On Friday in London I went to the COS store around my corner and I tried on a pair of beautiful classic, high waisted, beige pair of pants (think Chloe)  and since I was not fully convinced I put them carefully back on the hangar taking notice it was the only pair left in my size. Before I even landed in Barcelona I had regrets but I was hoping to find them over here. After heading straight to the COS store on Paseo De Gracia this morning I got a glimpse of hope when I spotted them followed by disappointment, the only one left in my size was already booked for another customer.

The story could have ended here, I could have given up and moved on in my mind, it’s just a pair of trousers after all, right?

There was one option left, I made a phone call to London where they luckily had one left and my good friend Maggie is on her way to pick it up for me. Does this type of scenario sound familiar to anyone else, probably yes but there’s another group of people out there (normal people) which include most of my friends who are unfamiliar with situations like this. Probably rising one eyebrow and don’t get the dilemma hunting down a pair of pants across Europe when on holiday and thats perfectly fine, I do hope though that hearing about how far some of us are willing to act might put a smile on their faces……
