Accessory trend this season, the single statement earring, we’ve seen it for a while and we love it right. Be ready to embrace the hoops too, my personal favourites, and more easy to come across if you don’t want to dig deep into your Celine pockets.
Can a girl ever have enough of soft, chunky, cashmere turtle knits?
Judging from what’s dominating my wardrobe shelf in the knit department, apparently not. In my opinion, there’s nothing as cosy and versatile during fall as snuggling up in an oversized knit, preferable in shades of grey. Bags, shoes, come and go, but if there’s one item I find really worth investing in this is it.
Wishing you all a glorious sunny 1′st of October!
Leather trousers by Ganni (similar here and here), shoes by Jimmy Choo, cashmere knit by Celine (similar here and here), bag by Balenciaga (here in black), diamond rings by Monica Vinader, earring by Sophie Bille Brahe, RayBan’s sunnies.
Celine, Phoebe Philo, Daria Werbowy and Juergen Teller seem to be a an unbeatable foursome, and for the 6th time in a row they once again come out with a strong campaign featuring some of fall 2015 most wanted pieces and look,s fronted by Daria looking gorgeous as ever. Sign me up for this earring please!
Celine delivers another refined collection pre-fall 2014, and though we’ve seen the chunky turtle knits and similar looks before, Phoebe Philo as usual, manages to update even the most basics items. As for inspiration and style notes to take, style with a knitted sweater, pleated skirts, wide legged trousers, wear socks in them pointy shoes and focus on earrings and ethnic necklaces, I’m in!
Curious to see what next fall might look like, and by that I mean silhouettes, pieces and styling tip that perhaps at first glance don’t make you want to jump the roof, but when the time gets there, pretty much tick all the boxes you want to channel the next season. From my own experience Pheoebe Philo has this effect on people, sneaking into our unconsciousness, myself included.
For the A/W collection I’m personally very happy the vibrant coloured spray prints are gone (they were short lived anyway), and we’re back to the minimal and wearable Celine we all known. Key pieces are knitted tunics, flared legs, coats-coats-coats, feathers and earpieces, and that twisted hair bun is already on!
Though I’m a pretty black cat I love wearing whites, especially this time of year when we’ve survived the darkest season and only brighter days are ahead. It’s wonderful isn’t, that days already are getting longer, and if you’re a real optimist you can already start looking for signs of spring, well, I guess the latter would depend on you geographic though.
Anyway, white leather pants are essentials to me this season, and these baggy specimen along with this shorter version of my grey coat (that I’ve practically been living in), and these Monica Vinader diamond rings, are all new wardrobe favourites.
Happy Monday morning to all of you and don’t forget to enter the £500 Monica Vinader give away below, only a few days left now!
Céline’s SS14 campaign is out again fronted by Phoebe Philo’s number one girl (and lookalike!), Daria Werbowy. The visuals of the vibrant new collection are photographed by Juergen Teller (another side-kick apparently), and new model confirmed onboard is Julia Nobis, but it looks like there’s a third as well (?). So folks, better get used to these prints, they will pop up everywhere!
Celine Resort 2014
Images of Celine’s Resort 2014 collection are now official after being kept very well under lock for months. I personally have mixed feeling for Celine’s Spring collection, but needless to say this is right up my alley by judging only from photos. No screamy colours nor prints in sight, Phoebe Philo, I want to wear every single piece and look, perfectness!
Something “old”, something new, I rarely borrow, but I love the colour blue, and I’m not referring to any marital status.
Mixing “old” favourites with new seasons additions is usually my way to go, it’s all about investing in quality pieces right?
New in in this outfit that I wore in Paris last week are these gorgeous shoes by Aquazzura that I’ve been eyeing for quite a while, and they do follow up with a funny story. On my first day parading these beauties in Paris I ran into the lovely designer himself, Edgardo Osorio, in the streets. I mean, what are the chances, perhaps shoe fairies do exist?
All white (well almost), doesn’t happen very often in my daily life, due to practicalities and that I’m carrying around my little girl most of the day. So when I’ve been away on trips during fashion month I’ve taken the opportunity to bring along some lighter coloured favourites of mine.
Also say hello to my new Celine’s that I got in Milan a few weeks back, the Milan store is one of the best Celine stores I know as they always have the best pieces. Looking down on me from the shelves, I just couldn’t resist these checks, and my feet will be forever grateful, may the flat happy days continue!
Knits knits knits! They still remain my favourite piece every winter season, and apparently I can never get enough of them, something that the ever growing pile in my wardrobe clearly proves. On another note it’s not so strange, I mean, we wear them 9 months a year in the northern hemisphere, and they pretty much go with anything, especially if you’re more of a minimal dresser like me who prefer simple lines and easy-go-to-combos.
With this mohair beauty it was love at first sight, and I will definitely try to squeeze as many looks out of this little investment piece in the time ahead.
Let fall begin!
After fantastic days in Sardinia I’m back on the concrete with whites and pale colours on my mind, which are perfect for the high temperatures we’re still blessed with in London. Though I’ve invested in and eyeing gorgeous new heels for my wardrobe, I pretty much swear to flats when I’m on the run these days. In the summer heat, and hectic days with work and my little girl in my arms it’s the obvious alternative. Flats me, hehe, who would have thought?
Getting dressed for days in a boiling overheated city can certainly be challenging. Though I on certain days much rather stroll around in flip flops, kaftan, a tousled hair bun, and no trace of make up, beach life doesn’t really work in the city.
Shorts and shirts have been my way to go, and these embroidered shorts which in fact are beachwear(!), works just as well in the city paired with a crispy white shirt, as on the beach with a bandeau bikini.
