Burberry Fall 2012 Campaign

In courtesy of Burberry

Were you like me a little fed up with Burberry’s recent trench campaigns shot against a white or gray background (though I haven’t minded seeing the hunk Eddie Redmayne on billboards this spring). Anyway, Burberry has finally taken a step out of studio for their fall campaign and the images, which features actress Gabriella Wilde and musician Roo Panes, are instead shot on various locations in London with a cinematic theme, photographed by Mario Testino. Sounds like all the ingredients are there for a cool campaign, but seeing the images I’m not really taken, perhaps the first image got some atmosphere to it, but that’s it, what do you think?
Liking the campaign or not I’m feeling very tempted to bring my own Burberry into daylight again this summer.

New in

It’s not often I buy make-up, like once a year, simply due to the fact I don’t use much. I’m a massive fan of Bare Minerals skin products but other stuff I get from Burberry and they last like forever, loving these products!
Sheer eye shadow No.21, lip definer No.02, lip glow No.05 (not sticky at all!)

Wish I had…..

I’m heading to a wine tasting later today and a dinner out with friends and my fab mum, just wish I had these goodies to compliment my loose cropped wool pants from Cos, damn!

Ruby Jean Wilson

After the Burberry show last week I met one of the models of the moment, 17 year old Ruby Jean Wilson, fresh from the Burberry runway. While the crowds and masses of photographers were all gathered outside the tent I spotted her alone waiting for a driver with her name tag to pick her up. She seemed such a young, sweet, shy and delicate thing, and I wish her all the best with her modeling career, looks like it’s going pretty well at the moment as she’s becoming a regular this season on the major shows, Ruby is one to watch!

Just wish a had better background and frame for this image but this girl is sweet enough to make up for it, she’s wearing a vintage silk blouse and bag by Alexander Wang.

Natalie Massenet

One of the women I find truly inspiring in every way is beautiful Natalie Massenet, who founded Net-a-Porter in 2000. A stylish woman whose entrepreneurial skills managed to turn a fashion business idea into a successful worldwide expanding multi-million-dollar online industry, still with her feet well planted on the ground and a smiley and warm personality.

I ran into her outside Burberry’s SS12 this week in Kensington Gardens while she was waiting for her car, I asked to take her picture and she kindly said yes and even complimented me. Beauty, brain, success and humanity in one package, that’s something that should inspire us ladies!

Notice that gorgeous animal-printed calf hair clutch from Newbark, officially on my wishlist.

Oh, I already long for those bare legged days and winter hasn’t yet started, I would love to wear thigh high socks right now to extend the fall with bare legs and sandals but honestly it’s not for the climate in the northern hemisphere. I haven’t used my vintage Burberry trench much lately and now when I finally feel like I’ll probably freeze to death, think you can call that completely out of sync, anyway if you want to see the art of trench or upload your own idea of it click here.

Vintage can be so much fun

For those of my readers who are sensitive to real fur please don’t read further!!!!

As I mentioned earlier I’ve been looking for a fur jacket with a couture feeling and today when I stepped into a vintage store it was hanging there, my shearling jacket and didn’t cost very much, it’s gonna stand out to all the black leather shearling jackets shearling everyone’s wearing. The shearling is uncut and I love the leather details and the big neck, it’s gonna keep me warm for sure and isn’t there a Burberry vibe over it even if this one’s from a time long ahead the Burberry Shearling?

Charing Cross Road

I love living in the heart of London, you can pretty much call my address so and every time people realize where I live most of them get surprised and find it hard to believe that people actually live there between musicals, cinemas and a constant crowd of people. Speaking of musicals I’ve never put my foot into one and most likely I never will, but I gladly enjoy everything else cultural surrounding. There’s a constant rush outside my door step, sometimes tourists snapping images through the front door or people all lined up for the theater. Most of the time I don’t mind very much, I’ve gotten used to make my way through the crowds with my hands full of groceries but when you try for one hour to grab a cab on a late chilly Saturday night it’s a bit annoying, but nothing I can’t live with, it’s just comes with the package.

Brick Red

Met up with Julie for lunch at Le Pain Quotidien in Covent Garden, our regular place to meet up  for lunch once a week. I was so happy when they decided to open one in Covent Garden earlier this year since it’s been one of my favorite french bakeries for years. They have an excellent outdoor serving in the sun but I think it’s to cold for that, unless you wrap up in a warm coat.

Julie was sweet and enthusiastic as always and snapped a few images of me. I’m wearing knitted jumper Topshop Boutique, silk pants H&M, wedges Miu Miu, bag Biasa and my new lipstick from Burberry in Brick Red
