Today I took my timeout, strolling around in my hood, went to cinema and to see Black Swan followed by a good dinner at Arbutus. The movie is fantastic, Portman’s performance is outstanding and the clothes designed by Rodarte are so beautiful. In fact I’m still slightly out of balance after watching the movie, swans and ballet are my achilles as I’ve posted earlier and I’ll probably never forgive my dad for taking me out of ballet school as a child and glued me to a pair of alpine skies instead. Well, I guess you cannot change your past right.
Looks like Alexander Wang goes back to black for the his fall collection, yet still a more sophisticated black collection than earlier and I really like this one, very commercial, I could easily wear every single look. This is his biggest pre-fall collection so far and still represent a tiny bit of what we’re gonna see during NFW in February. PS: Keep an eye on the shoes.

On Friday the british designer Hannah Marshall presented her Spring/Summer Collection 2011, I’ve kept an eye on her the last year and really like her designs. See-through was the main theme in her new collection and for the first time she took a step away from black and included new colors, grey and mint, beautiful, simple and sleek and the whole collection can easily be layered. The details on the tops and dresses are gorgeous, I know, I’ve felt them with my own fingers and also tried on the fantastic long silk frock with, already on my wish list.
I find it hard to pick favorites in this collection, I would love to wear every single item and layer them in different ways and colors, one of my absolute favorites for SS11, love it!
