In Limbo

Woop woop, another week has past and I’m sort of on hold, hello “limboland”!

I’ve been keeping myself busy this week by stopping by a few fashion week events and tried to have some work done. I’ve totally given into comfortable dressing at this point that allows room for really strong and unpredictable kicks(!) and splashed it with old and new accessories, like my good old Obsedia and this cashmere turban.
Dress by Cos, cashmere turban by Rosie Sugden(on sales), Zara wool coat, bag by Givenchy, bracelet by Balenciaga and sunnies by Tom Ford.

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!!

1, 2, 3

3 favourites of mine right now that I especially like wearing with blue denim!

Estée Lauder’s Nail Lacquer in So Vain, except for the exceptional beautiful bottle this is the perfect nude’ish nail polish and only one coat is needed, launching in March 2013.
Hoop earrings by Topshop, not too chunky or heavy (for actually being worn!).
Leather cuff by Balenciaga, similar here.

Balenciaga SS13 Campaign

Speaking of Balenciaga, cant help but loving the campaign for Nicolas Ghesquiere‘s last collection for the fashion house, photographed by Steven Meisel. This SS13 campaign includes some of my favourite key pieces this spring that I cannot wait to see in real time.

BI-coloured

It’s not just Balenciaga’s stacking ensembles of golden rings that would be warmly welcomed in my jewellery tray right now, but I could easily make room for this timeless leather bracelet while we’re at it, also by Balenciaga and yours for £195.

Wang in at Balenciaga!

Photo by Craig McDean for the 2012 CFDA Journal

The last couple of days there’s been a rumour flying in the wind that Alexander Wang has been a likely candidate to replace Nicolas Ghesquiere as Creative Director at Balenciaga. According to WWD the rumour has been confirmed true to market sources and an announcement from the fashion house is expected to be released this week.

Rrrrrrrings

Balenciaga SS13, images style.com

I’ve been crushing on these overloads of golden rings ever since they strolled down the Balenciaga SS13 runway back in September. These are some of my absolute favourite accessories for spring, and something I think will sell quick as a flash when they hit stores in February/March, sadly I want (need!?) them right now…..

Ghesquière parting with Balenciaga

Nicolas Ghesquière by Alessandro Garofalo/indigitalteam.com via style.com

A little unexpected news are that one of my favourite designers, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Balenciaga are parting ways after 15 years with Nicolas at the helm of the iconic fashion house. According to WWD, the split is a joint decision on both parts and no further news on what’s next has been confirmed.

Balenciaga SS13

Images style.com

My favourite looks from Balenciaga’s SS13 collection, that I wouldn’t try to resist, and totally fell for the tailored sharp structures, yet very nude collection with a lot of focus on the waistline. An area that I intend to sport come spring 2013, and just another motivation why getting back into shape post baby is super high on my priority list! See the whole collection here.

And oh, 1pm (CET) today it’s Celine time, stay tuned!

Clever things

Yeah, we’ve been blessed with gorgeous summery weather in London this week and a little over night I had to move from a fall mood into summer again. Luckily a few of the pieces I’ve bought lately can easily be used in 30 degrees heat as on cooler days, this new “clever skirt” by Isabel Marant with an elastic waistline and pockets is one of them. Easy to throw on when you’re on the go, perfect to roll and carry along in a bag, and will work just as well with tights when those days come. As for now I’ll wear it with easy summery tanks and tops to avoid a melting process.

Images taken the other day, I wore tank by Balenciaga, skirt (dress here) by Isabel Marant, shoes by Prada, bag by Celine and Ray Ban’s.

Lux Tees

I wouldn’t mind at all these prismatic printed tee’s in store right now, and yes, they come with a price tag but aren’t they like small pieces of art? Printed tee by Givenchy (£354) and ‘Glitter Girl’-tee by Balenciaga (£175).

Balenciaga F/W 12-13 Ad

Balenciaga’s fall ads, photographed by Steven Meisel, include my absolute favorite pieces by the fashion house this fall, I know I’m repeating myself but I find all these jumpers and fabrics breathtaking. Also, the other day I got the chance to check out most of the jewellery and shoes in this collection and though some was a little over the top 80′s for my liking there were definitely a few outstanding pieces, the shoes on top please send my way!

Pure volume

Paris was wonderfully warm this week so at the day of Chanel and Givenchy I decided to wear something not too figure hugging and jumped into this airy voluminous skirt and blouse that kind of looked like a one piece when they came together. I love pieces like this that can be styled and put together in various ways, which is something I always keep in mind when feeling tempted in stores, for us normal living souls it’s about maximizing it’s utility right?

I wore skirt by Balenciaga, old blouse from Cos, shoes Marni for H&M, bag by Givenchy, bracelets Cooee and sunnies by Acne.

Give it to me baby!

Vogue Brazil July 2012-Gisele Bundchen by Patrick Demarchelier

Wel hello there Gisele, you’re wearing the skyline jumper which is sky-high on my wishlist for fall by Balenciaga!

Bicolor

One of my finds during the sales was this skirt by Balenciaga, I totally fell for the shiny fabric and shape which kind of has a life of it’s own. Keeping the short length in mind I decided to wear it with flats to tone it down a little earlier this week, but this skirt has a million styling opportunities so it won’t be the last time you’ll see it here for sure.
Wishing you all a happy midsummer-weekend whatever you are up to!

Jil Sander t-shirt, skirt by Balenciaga, parka by Isabel Marant, loafers by Acne, bag Celine, bracelets Cooee and Ray Ban’s.

Roland Garros

When I headed to Roland Garros in Paris this weekend to watch tennis I opted for practical clothes, yes, not the most exciting outfit in the world but sometimes practicality comes first, even though I’m not a fan of the latter. Though skinnies, wool, rain coat, and hot drinks were miles away of keeping me warm, I really enjoyed the games, never thought I would turn into a tennis fan but there you go.

I wore jeans by J Brand, wool knit from Reiss, loafers by Acne, coat Balenciaga, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.
