I really like some of Tibi’s fall collection which includes easy, everyday wearable fall looks, prints, soft knits, cute dresses and shiny surfaces. I wouldn’t mind slipping into look number 4 right away……
Images from fall campaigns have started to come out and my favorite so far is by Givenchy, not only cause the collection is a stunner on it’s own but I’m really weak for crazy dance moves videos. Enjoy the behind-scene-video below, it’s all in there, rave, face jewellery and Stella Tennant amongst others. Happy Monday Morning!
Topshop Unique’s fall 2012 collection, which has a mix of Proenza Schouler-Balenciaga and Burberry Prorsum-vibes. Can’t wait to see this stuff in stores, especially the coats and trousers, they all look fantastic and would probably price tag just a fraction of the other names mentioned.
I’m feeling in the mood of silky scarves these days ala Celine fall 2012, and will keep my eyes open to similar styles during the summer sales. Wrapped around the neck like this is such a chic way to update any jumper or otherwise clean look instead of a necklace, not to mention a whole lot warmer.
There’s a big chance street style photographers might struggle to capture vibrant colors during next fashion month in September, cause black, white and gray looks are coming back strongly. However I don’t mind at all, especially when it comes in sharply tailored packages or slouchy silhouettes like this, which happen to be my favorite collection by Maison Martin Margiela for quite a while now. It might look less avant-garde and perhaps more commercial, but it still has the Margiela odd details and cleanness which is right up my street. I love the oversized detailed turtle necked coats, and the perfect creamy yellow jumper already has my name on it!
I totally fell for Olivier Rousteing’s pre-collection for Balmain back in January, and their fall collection presented in Paris last week is amongst my favorites for next season. The new oversized silhouette is so effortless cool without loosing it’s couture feel, sadly these pieces will remain light years from most peoples budget, but at least you’re allowed to dream and get inspired.
Of all my favorite designers showing in Paris Isabel Marant is probably the one I do expect less of in terms of creativity and pushing limits, however that said it doesn’t need to be interpreted in a negative way, cause Marant still makes the clothes I’d like to wear in my everyday life. This collection is spot on that as usual, basics like skinny cropped jeans, printed jumpers, sport mesh and gorgeous coats will always be on my wishlist. Favorite piece of mine, the coat in look number 6, just gotta lay my hands on that one!
Wow, hello there Nicolas Ghesquière, now, this collection made my heart skip a beat, absolutely love this forward thinking take on corporate dressing and this time around I really like the styling having the pre-collection freshly in mind. The slogan jumpers and the voluminous upper parts in fabrics that look like they’ve got a life on their own (so Balenciaga) paired with A-line skirts are definite favorites. If this would ever end up as dress etiquette in the corporate office world I might consider going back, see the whole collection here.
I’m not really a Dsquared2-kinda-girl, I usually think the designer duo drive the bad-girl-sexy-image a little too far, but in their latest collection for fall 2012 there are many looks I love (at least for inspiration), yes, yes to boxy upper parts, cropped pants and pointy ankle strapped shoes!
Say goodbye to Raf Simons for Jil Sander, oh, what an incredible beautiful way to end the 7 year marriage, enjoy!
You haven’t missed out on Topshop Unique‘s fantastic (and affordable) fall collection, no doubt the strongest I’ve seen from Topshop ever. Fe-masculine military dressing with no quirky styling in sight, thumbs up to Emma Farrow, enjoy!
Jonny Johansson has really pulled in (and moved up!) the waistline in Acne’s A/W 12-13 collection, where mini-corsett-looking-belts is worn over outerwear, chunky jumpers and shirts, creating playful, long and feminine silhouettes. There is also focus on the neck, and those looks who don’t have a turtle neck already is styled with giant tribal looking neck collar’s that emphasises the shoulders.
I especially like the jumpers and jackets in this collection, not to mention the sporty’ish shoes, those white ones would have been perfect right now. These are my favorite looks, look through the whole collection for yourself here.
London Fashion Week kicks off today and I’m just about to head over there, so it’s the perfect time to show you another one of my favorite collections from NYFW by Proenza Schouler. It includes so many mouth watering jackets that it’s hard to pick a favorite, boxy and loose silhouettes, loads of leather and embroidered opulent fabrics. Enjoy the whole collection here and see you later.
I’m back in London with a heart rhythm of 500 too many, my suitcase has gone missing somewhere across the North Sea and no one seem to have a clue where, suitcases don’t fall out of airplanes right? Ok, no need to say more of this stress scenario right now cause there’s absolutely nothing I can do but wait.
Instead I’ll be scanning through updates from NYFW, where another favorite of mine is Phillip Lim‘s fall collection that consists of many wearable every day looks, loads of perfect tailored trousers, beautiful knitwear and outerwear, belted waistlines and pointy shoes, missa love!
