Great news for your wallets ahoy! Joseph Altuzarra has teamed up with the US high-street chain Target with a capsule collection including some sleek, feminine, tailored Altuzarra pieces and accessories that oozes power, starting from £25. My bet this collection will fly, available on Net-a-Porter in September.
Altuzarra’s beautiful Resort 2014 collection in B&W styled by two of my favourite stylists Melanie Huynh and Vanessa Traina, directed by Simon Cave.
One of the most beautiful collections shown in NY the last couple of days to me is by Altuzarra, enjoy the luxurious tailoring while I’m packing down lots of inspiration with me and head for the airport, bye bye to this fantastic city and see you’ll back in London!
I’ve received several mails from you lovely readers who wanted to tip me about this list, thank you so much for your excitement and thoughtfulness! Though I’m not very into lists and such I would be insane(!) if I didn’t think it was cool to be on Vogue’s Best Dressed List. Other on the list are Joan Smalls, Lauren Santo Domingo, Anya Ziourova, Lady Gaga, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Rula Jebreal, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna and Miranda Kerr, such an honour, so thank you so much Vogue!!!
Oki, have to run to welcome family arriving to town, wishing you all a lovely eve!
Woop woop, it’s Sunday already and I realize this weekend has passed without me doing anything except relaxing which was heavily needed. It would have been great though with some sunshine to chill along with, but I start to think there’s no point of holding my breath for the latter in London this summer. However in Paris last week it felt like full summer and on my first day there I wore this jungle dream of a leather skirt, paired with my favorite yellow knit, more colorful than the usual me, but a little fun from time to time.
On Friday I celebrated the end of week with some color and slipped on my (very!) yellow jumper that you’ll find on sales here right now. I didn’t at all have in back of my mind the Swedish football game later that day, which I was asked several times during the day. Yes, I like sports to some degree but would never let it affect my sartorial choices, this was simply a pure coincidence, I swear!!!
Happy rainy Monday noon, after a rather wet weekend in Paris I woke up to the news today that the rain will keep hanging over us in London rest of summer, how uplifting!? Hence, a hooded rainy parka is high on my wishlist right now, and my favorite in stores is this beauty by Altuzarra, perfect to wear on top of summery dresses and skirts, and while we’re at it, I might as well wish for the coolest skull umbrella out there by McQueen.
A conversation with a friend
Me: “Hmm, it’s quite yellow….”
Friend: “Yep, no doubt about that ….”
Me: “I mean, it’s really really yellow, in your face yellow…..”
Friend: “Yes, but it’s cute, and your colors can handle it. I could never wear this color myself, my blond complexion could never pull it off.”
Me: “And why’s that? The way I see it that’s exactly what would suit you when you’re blond and fair!”
So I guess I’m not the only one having second thoughts about this color, anyway I finally got convinced to keep this jumper, though I’ve never been a fan of sharp yellows and always preferred the washed out scale. Now, as I’ve already taken a step outside my comfort-color-zone I’m probably soon gonna break the only “don’t” color-mix I have, pairing black and yellow, suddenly I just think it works, and aren’t rules made to be broken?
