Denims, flats and sunny rain

Happy morning!
Right now I’m about to jump on a train to Paris along with my little girl, and if I ever thought I had difficulties packing and organising before I certainly have pushed the barrier a little further now.
Anyway, here’s close to what I’ve been wearing a lot lately, denims and flats, which simply suits my lifestyle and (London) weather, like when these images were snapped it went from sunny to rainy almighty.
Wishing you all a fab weekend!

Round and around and around

After looking for round framed sunnies with the right attitude for a while I was thrilled to come across these by Acne, so very 90′s indeed, and quite small, so perfect for my tiny face. If interested you’ll find them here, yours for £250!

Far away

Sorry for disappearing for a couple of days but I’ve had too much to do privately, my mum visiting and a few last preps for the baby who could arrive any time soon(!!!).
I’ll be missing out on most fashion-week-stuff this February which is for someone, workaholic like me, a little frustrating, but bless online screenings with today’s highlights such as Tibi, Alexander Wang and Altuzarra from NY.

As for my own outfit posts there won’t be many more from me in the weeks ahead, having had my wardrobe totally recycled lately, but I promise I’ll be back for sure afterwards finally fitting into my New life, New ideas and New wardrobe.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!!

Oversize me

After some pretty dark and London-cloudy-months it finally looks like days are getting a little brighter with the sun popping out more frequently, and I bet(!) no one is happier than me! The sunglasses are back on and this oversized wayfarer pair by Acne that I got last year will definitely be spotted on my nose come spring as well.

Parka

Happy Monday noon folks!
Winter has hit London town and we’ve had days of snow and minus degrees for the first time in ages. Though it hasn’t been the brightest light it’s kind of ok, the wet snow I mean, though I’m sure many find it quite frustrating sartorial wise. Well, on my side I don’t really bother as I already feel quite limited, and can’t really fit into much anylonger other than my “every day-uniform”, stretchy dresses, coats and boots. I’m afraid there won’t be many colourful “new” outfit posts here until my baby is due, which feels a little frustrating being who I am and seeing the new fabulous season hitting stores.

Anyway, this duvet parka by Acne, that gives you the feeling of being wrapped up in a blanket, has ended up being one of my best buys for this winter, perfect for chilly days!

Arty cover

I dont’ know why, but for some reason I find it almost impossible to find chic iphone 5 cases these days (did you hear that all brands out there!). And since I’m neither into rabbit ears nor funny dog faces, this printed case by Weston does the job for now for a reasonable price of £33. Bag by Acne.

Psssst …

I’ve lost track of how many mails I’ve received the last 2 years from readers asking to buy my Scale bag by Acne that pretty much sold out globally back in 2011. Well, happy news is that the gorgeous bag is back in leather and suede, in different colours and shapes, with the signature buckle designed by Husam El Odeh. If you fancy any of these beauties you’ll find them here, pricing from £300 to £600.

Looking ahead

There are so many temptations out there right now, resort collections hitting stores and great winter sales ongoing. My “dilemma” is if I strike I probably won’t fit into it anyway until the season is over, so I’ve chosen to close my eyes (man it’s hard!) and focus on the beautiful spring that will come eventually. With a few exceptions though, like this currency printed shirt from Acne’s resort that I’ve wanted since I first had a look on this collection, and even if it’s a little tight over my bump right now at least I can wear it come spring.

Layering

While up in Oslo earlier this week I got a strong reminder of what real winter is about, I once was used to arctic weather, but -19 raw Oslo air, honestly, it was really painful and not very surprisingly the streets were almost empty of people. I wore my duvet winter parka every day, which I guess is the only way to stay warm along with furry boots, except one day, when I bravely stepped out in this cape, sometimes layering of wool work as well, at least if you just rush in and out between stores and cafées.

I wore leather leggings by Joseph (or similar style here), wool cape by Hofmann, boots by Acne, bag by Celine and sunnies by Tom Ford.

Sparkle

My outfits these days are pretty limited to jeans, shirts and knits when on the run, but at least to vary a little I’ve been playing around with accessories and jewellery, like these new gold pleated earrings, a little golden bling bling on a regular weekday sometimes does it for me.

On another note, right now it’s early Sunday morning and I’m an unusual early bird as I’m about to catch my train to beautiful Paris for a few days. Enjoy your Sunday folks and see you in Paris!

Stay safe

A few days ago I had a bad experience in one my beloved areas of London. Having someone suddenly jumping on you from behind grabbing what they can may scare anyone to bits, but my initial reaction was anger(!), I got a hit in with my umbrella and ran after the creep who jumped into a nearby building. After getting away with nothing more than my phone, and hopefully problems with the police, I hope he thought it was worth it. Now in the aftermath I’m relieved it ended there, it’s insane how far some are willing to go, but lesson learned is that it could happen to anyone when you least expect it, so stay safe, tuck your phone away and grab your beloved handbag a little harder!

Homies

Today I’ve been a busy bee running between meetings and press views, hence my non-existing updates, but here’s what I’ve been wearing at least. Lately I’ve totally adopted everything comfortable, soft college jumpers, knitted dresses and lower heels, who would have thought?

Skirt by Isabel Marant (as dress here), new Homies jumper by Brian Lichtenberg, cashmere coat Topshop Boutique, new suede boots by Acne, tights by Wolford, bag by Proenza Schouler and silver necklaces Cooee and Tiffany’s.

Zipped up

Aahh, this weekend passed on too quickly, I’ve hardly started on my-to-do-list, and honestly it wasn’t so long to begin with. I guess the darker chillier rainy days start to get to me. However, we’ve had a few glimpses of clear skies this week and I made sure to be out there soaking it up leaving my heavier winter gear at home.

Outfit worn this week, I wore jeans by Acne, jacket Topshop Unique (similar here and here), new shoes Cos, bag Proenza Schouler and Ray Ban’s.

On really chilly days….

…. I’m gonna wear my new feather padded snow parka by Acne, in other words, I’ve  got no intentions of freezing during the winter months ahead. These “typical-Scandinavian-style” coats are selling rapidly, and if you wanna lay your hands on one yourself you’ll find them here, yours for £560.

Burgundy

Every early fall no matter trend alert I crave for something burgundy. Last year it was an oversized burgundy knit, inspired by Celine’s fantastic pre-fall 2011, that found it’s way to my wardrobe. This year it’s this jacket from Topshop Unique, not sure though if it was the colour or cut that got me.

Anyway, here’s what I wore one day in Paris last week, it was chilly in the air but a really beautiful day. I wore a wool skirt and t-shirt by Acne, jacket by Topshop Unique (sold out but this one is similar biker style), boots by Phillip Lim, bag by Proenza Schouler, bracelet Hermes and Cooee, and sunnies by Tom Ford.
