Nail polish favourites of mine right now are Essie’s nr.487 Berry Hard and Chanel’s old classic nr.18 Rouge Noir, both are perfect shades of deep burgundy with brown undertones and quite similar, but Essie’s slightly lighter which I don’t mind, also stay’s like a rock and half the price of Chanel.
There are so many temptations out there right now, resort collections hitting stores and great winter sales ongoing. My “dilemma” is if I strike I probably won’t fit into it anyway until the season is over, so I’ve chosen to close my eyes (man it’s hard!) and focus on the beautiful spring that will come eventually. With a few exceptions though, like this currency printed shirt from Acne’s resort that I’ve wanted since I first had a look on this collection, and even if it’s a little tight over my bump right now at least I can wear it come spring.
Though I love being all wrapped up in coats in the winter I wouldn’t mind adding a leather shearling jacket to my wardrobe, preferable in a lighter brown or tan colour, perhaps something to look for and hopefully stumble across during the sales (yeah!).
Happy Friday everyone out there!
‘To me style has little to do with trends, but rather a timeless form of expression’
As you may have picked up by now is that I’m a huge fan of the Italian heritage brand Tod’s, hence needless to say it’s really a true honour both representing the brand and be featured on their website. If you go on Tod’s.com you’ll find an interview with me right now, thank you so much Tod’s!
Today I popped by Vassilisa’s showroom and had a closer inspection on Nadja Solovieva’s SS13 collection, and gosh does it include some amazing printed silk and cashmere scarves that I wouldn’t mind have hanging around my neck come spring. I couldn’t leave empty handed and brought something incredible soft and luxurious along home with me, yeah!
I know I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating, cause I’m sure there are many late birds like myself out there. It took me like forever to get on instagram, such a brilliant way to catch up when there’s little time or you’re out of words. If you wanna follow me you’ll find me on @hedvigso.
I love super soft slogan jumpers that are perfect to cool-down something “too-pretty” or simply throw on with a pair of jeans with heels or relaxed boots. A favourite in my wardrobe is Brian Lichtenberg’s Homies above, but I wouldn’t mind adding any of these others to my little slogan collection as well.
Happy Monday morning and I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
I spent mine doing lots of 1’sts in my life, finding myself of the top floors of department stores (babystuff) instead of enjoying the “secret” sales on the floors below was definitely a 1’st one. I probably looked liked a big question mark when the helpful staff loaded my arms with “necessary” gadgets I never heard of, or even occurred to me was needed. Well, now it’s all done in one go and the rest of shopping time available in December will be devoted to Christmas gifts and perhaps a few treats for myself, just to release some of the pressure for Santa…..
What’s not a 1’st one is my forever combo of wooly dresses and coats, but that just happens to be my favourite right now. Wool dress and scarf from Cos, coat and boots by Isabel Marant, tights by Wolford, bag by Proenza Schouler, gold bracelet by Monica Vinader and rings by De Beers.
I’ve tipped about the Camelia oil earlier, but now after trying several other products by Elemis I’m totally hooked as they make the skin so soft and lean, and perfect when you want to spoil yourself with a luxurious home spa treat. “New-ins” are Elemis Lime and Ginger Salt Glow, Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath, and off course a refill of my favourite oil, Elemis Japanese Camellia Body Oil Blend.
I’m starting to get into the December-Christmassy spirit which usually takes a little longer for me, if it’s the scents I’m burning at home, the lighting decoration in my window or my little trip to Norway I don’t know, but after watching this beautiful video from Topshop starring Kate Boswort singing on top of a piano, I’m not less in the mood. The video takes inspiration from the The Fabulous Baker Boys, and I vaguely remember how drop dead gorgeous Michelle Pfeiffer was in that movie, time to dig into the archives.
