I’ve had a closer look on Stella McCartney’s A/W 2013 collection which is one of my favourites for fall. Key pieces are the tartan coats and knitwear but also boy’ish pinstripes, coats(!), gorgeous lace and silk pieces and girly floppy dresses, like this cutie above.
Heeeey darling readers, I hope you are all fabulously well, it’s been a while and I’ve missed this space, 5 weeks in fact, and lots of things have happened on my side ever since.
I’ve finally named my precious 6 weeks old baby girl to Hedda Maly, discovered new meanings to the word multitasking, walked many miles, cut a small fringe, taken a million shots of my little Hedda, added new stuff to my wardrobe come warmer days and pre-preggy shape, spent a lot of time with my mum who has been visiting and helping me (bless!!!), and I have a new Celine darling in my arms.
What unfortunately has not happened so far is the arrival of spring, don’t get me started on last week’s snow in London, and back on are winter coats, scarves and gloves, as if we weren’t tired of this by now. Well, if you like me are tired of the sight of your winter coats and jackets by this point, adding a belt is an easy fix.
Spending time at home nursing my baby can be seriously dangerous for my wallet(!), and in between her naps I find myself searching for all those “necessary” pieces for spring. I’ve wanted a bomber jacket for a long time and my final choice lands on this bulky beauty by Stella McCartney, so versatile and goes with everything, LOVE!
Costume Norge has included a story on streetstyle photographers in their March issue, where you’ll find me and some of my streetsnaps featured alongside other photographers, Mark Lantosca (Refinery29), Lee Oliveira, Jason Jean (Citizen Couture), Craig Arend (Altamira), Pernilla Löfberg (Stylesight), Phil Oh (Street Peeper), StockholmStreetstyle and Alexander Norheim (The Sceptic). Thank you so much Costume!!!
As you may understand I find myself in a bubble at the moment and just want to cuddle with my little girl whom we just can’t get enough of. I will slowly start updating here more frequent again, but until then you’ll always find me on instagram @hedvigso.
Now, head out there and enjoy the rays, such a glorious day in London!
I just wanted to share with you that on Monday morning this week my beloved supergirl arrived, strong and healthy, a beautiful little miracle, and certainly the coolest and most amazing meeting ever in my life!
As for her name I’m having difficulties making a final decision (like always when I’ve options to choose from), but for now she’s my little supergirl!
If I wasn’t home in London right now waiting impatiently for this baby to arrive(!) I would have been in Milan with my Tod’s girls Martha, Carolina and Noor for the book launch of Timeless Icon, and also had the chance to meet Tod’s new creative director (announced this week), former creative director at Valentino, Alessandra Facchinetti.
Wishing I was with you beautiful bright ladies, but next time I will for sure!
Note the smashing python shoulder bags, they are my favourite pieces in Tod’s SS13 collection.
Norwegian designer Peter Dundas at Emilio Pucci, served refreshing 70′s vibes yesterday in Milan, and rocked everything up a little from what we’ve been seeing lately. The bangs(!!), hotpants, prints, capes, furs, mini dresses and glamour bohoness was all there, and these thigh high leather boots(!), olalla!
Woop woop, another week has past and I’m sort of on hold, hello “limboland”!
I’ve been keeping myself busy this week by stopping by a few fashion week events and tried to have some work done. I’ve totally given into comfortable dressing at this point that allows room for really strong and unpredictable kicks(!) and splashed it with old and new accessories, like my good old Obsedia and this cashmere turban.
Dress by Cos, cashmere turban by Rosie Sugden(on sales), Zara wool coat, bag by Givenchy, bracelet by Balenciaga and sunnies by Tom Ford.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!!
5 accessories I wouldn’t mind at all this spring are sets of golden rings, pointy slippers, something studded (an-all-year-rounder!), a minimal clutch and round sunnies, and these are some of my favourites in store right now.
Set of golden rings by Balenciaga, iphone case by Saint Laurent Paris, slippers by Zara, ipad case by Acne and sunnies by Prism.

Fashion weeks have already moved on from London to Milan, but except for Alexander Wang’s wonderful “furry collection”, here are some of my other favourite looks and pieces from NY’s fall collections presented last week. If these collections are anything to go by as for trending directions for fall 2013, then we can safely include black and white looks, leather and fur pieces in the trend forecast for now.
- Proenza Schouler’s bulky contrasting silhouettes and wowen leather pieces
- Altuzarra’s monochrome superhot(!) body slinky dresses and leather pieces.
- Tibi’s wearable snugging pieces and I need those thigh high leather boots in my life(!)
- Phillip Lim’s jackets and cool layered silhouettes, and again I am reminded that a pair of round sunnies are still missing in my wardrobe.
- Victoria Beckham, sophisticated with a masculine touch, pencil lengths with bulky tops, and that gorgeous checked coat, please send my way!
Ok, since I had enough of restless napping days at home waiting for my baby(!) I yesterday decided to do a little street style snapping at Burberry’s in Kensington Gardens where some of my favourite chic girls where parading around, Lena Perminova was one of them, in this perfect mix of high and low, a Burberry Prorsum peplum tweed jacket and skirt by H&M, bag by Analeena.
I’ve been craving a pair of white pumps some time now, same happened last year when I totally fell for Alexander Wang’s Joan’s. However, white heels can easily look a little “wrong” (tarty anyone?), but a pair that definitely looks right in my eyes this season are these by Saint Laurent (Slimane again I know!). If interested you’ll find them with a higher heel here or other colours here.
Hehe, you know maybe it’s time to capitulate when what used to be one of the most oversized items in your wardrobe starts feeling tight and when you by the end of the day need assistance to get shoes off (!). I’m definitely there, but since I just cannot sit at home waiting for anything to happen, and feel perfectly good when on my feet (heels!), I might even attend a few shows during LFW that kicks off tomorrow, well, we’ll see how it goes.
Anyway, hoop earrings and chunky knitwear are on my sartorial mind these days and if you’re looking for hoop earrings without spending too much you’ll find a great selection at Topshop.
Maternity jeans by J Brand, old YSL knit, leather jacket by Joseph, Topshop earrings, bag by Celine and boots by Saint Laurent Paris.
