Isabel Marant and Oliver Peoples are launching a collection of sunglasses now in February, and the two models, Matt and Daria has the just the right amount of bohemian 70′s flare to join me on my next holiday, whenever that is…
Between the very heavy showers in London right now there are glimpses of bright sunshine, we’re not all flooded though it might seem so on the news, bless them poor souls!
My lighter, minimal winter dressing continues, and right now I’m obsessing with lighter shades. Whites that seemed to be put on hold for quite a while for practical reasons now somehow seem to last through my daily life, well, I guess until the next big shower appears again.
Victoria Beckham and team have certainly moved on from figure-hold-in-dresses, and has delivered one of my favourite collections from NYFW so far. Season after season the direction has slowly moved towards the effortless fe-masculine Phoebe Philo-way with a tiny touch of Dries, and this crossing is finding it’s way right up to my street, yum!
Mind global warming and all, there are definitely some benefits of having warmer winters that I’m embracing to the fullest. Sporting bare ankles and little silk scarves are some of them, along with a good knit and a coat, this sums up my “uniform” of 2014 so far.
After spending a week on the road in Scandinavia I find myself once again looking north-east for inspiration, hereby some of my favourite Scandi picks in stores, yum!
A great liner is part of my daily routine, a routine that has shrunk down to 5 min after becoming a mum. One personal favourite in the jungle of products out there is this art pen by Dior, it lasts all day and last but not least, the most unskilled make-up hands can apply it, super easy! Yours for £23 and you’ll find it here.
Though I’m a pretty black cat I love wearing whites, especially this time of year when we’ve survived the darkest season and only brighter days are ahead. It’s wonderful isn’t, that days already are getting longer, and if you’re a real optimist you can already start looking for signs of spring, well, I guess the latter would depend on you geographic though.
Anyway, white leather pants are essentials to me this season, and these baggy specimen along with this shorter version of my grey coat (that I’ve practically been living in), and these Monica Vinader diamond rings, are all new wardrobe favourites.
Happy Monday morning to all of you and don’t forget to enter the £500 Monica Vinader give away below, only a few days left now!
Oversized bulky bags, shoppers, shoulders bags, clutches and backpacks in all their glory, when it comes to a night out or a cocktail party, I prefer to bring along a bag as small as possible, and a mini box bag with a strap is an essential in every woman’s closet. After years of holding on to a clutch on nights out on town, I swear to little box beauties these days, which give you the room for shaking hands, cheering drinks and a free hand for your smart phone, yeah!
After being on the road the whole week for shows in Stockholm and Copenhagen, I’m finally back in a much warmer London with lots of impressions in my luggage(s), so please forgive me for the lack of updates on this space, but it will now turn for sure.
Amongst the shows I attended in (freezing cold!) Stockholm was the H&M global Design Award where the crowned winner turned out to be Eddy Anemian. The French designer who studies at La Cambre in Brussels, presented his 4′th year collection, inspired by Tilda Swinton in the movie I Am Love (Love!) and the French painter Ingres. Except from receiving a cash prize of 50,000 euros, H&M will develop pieces from the collection to be sold at selected H&M stores this fall.
I’ve paired up with my long time favourite, Monica Vinader again, for another shopping event with a Valentines twist in the new London boutique in Canary Wharf on the 5′th of February. For those of you dear readers far away from London city that won’t be able to make it to the store, you’ll be able to redeem a 20% discount code online (MVHINT20) on the day between 5-8pm GMT.
I truly hope to see as many of you as possible to join us for fun, chats, champagne and shopping on the day, and don’t forget to enter the competition below with international entrance accepted off course.
Until then, tweet and spread the word, and this is your chance to lay your hands on those pretty little diamonds for a little less.
There’s always a risk pairing something thigh high with something leather, and choosing pieces to go along with it should be taken with a serious thought(!). In order of not stepping into dangerous territory I skipped the pink jersey top (as if I ever had one!)) and stole my boyfriend’s Norwegian Marius knit , made by my mum, and that will for sure not be the last time.
Just in case you didn’t know this iconic print is a design heritage we Norwegian’s have always been proud of, and that has been reproduced in various ways also internationally that I’m sure you’ve come across.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Suede skirt by Acne (also here), Norwegian Marius-knit made by my mum, 5050 boots by Stuart Weitzman, coat by Stella McCartney, bag by Tod’s, sunnies by Celine, and diamond rings by Monica Vinader, others by Tom Wood and DeBeers.
With Alessandra Facchinetti onboard, Tod’s has taken a step up both on ready-to-wear and on the accessory side. The footwear for instance, still classy with a little more edge, or umph you may call it, and we like that don’t we? City sleek, lust worthy buckled and fringed sandals are amongst my favourites, and you’ll find them on Tod’s.com this spring or can be pre-ordered here now, yum!
