Mismatch

I sometimes get asked if I plan outfits beforehand, and honestly I don’t, which again is the reason why my travel luggage is heavily overweight as I practically bring along everything on the front shelves of my wardrobe. I’ve always dressed in this organised chaotic way where whatever I feel like on the day slips on. The result however sometimes end up being a complete mismatch of pieces I like when I’m on the run, everything but too planned and “matchy matchy”, just the way I like it!

Btw, I’ve got these new maternity skinny jeans by J Brand, with a super low comfortable elastic panelled waist and otherwise the perfect fit like J Brand’s usually are, genius! Otherwise knit by IRO, new wool coat Hofmann Copenhagen, boots Isabel Marant, bag by Celine and sunnies by Tom Ford.

Lips

Vogue Paris November 2012 – Kendra Spears by Lachlan Bailey

I want to wear some colour on my lips these days ala the deep red shade above, however the problem for me whenever I’ve used covering lipsticks in the past, especially at this time of year, is that my lips get too dry. Any miraculous tips out there on a deep red moisturizing lipstick?

MMM for H&M – A closer look

Yesterday I had a closer look on the highly anticipated MMM for H&M collab that will hit stores in a couple of weeks. I have to admit I’ve been kind of sceptic to the final result ever since the collaboration was announced, simply cause I didn’t see how the usual great Margiela quality would translate into highstreet prices. Well, scepticism aside, the collection is great, in fact my favourite H&M collab so far, and the fabrics are absolutely approved.

Overall the collection is quite voluminous and oversized which is right up my alley, but certain pieces like the oversized (and one sized!) woolcoat for instance, sizes quite big, and I felt a little drowned in it with my 5ft’8in. However, it’s still one of my favourite pieces along with the blue turtle knit, and wide leg suit…..and many other beautiful things both in the women and men’s(!) collection.

Hello Tiger

Everytime I scroll through my photo library this Kenzo bag always catches my eye, I guess I’m regretting a little I didn’t get it while in NY, a little tiger stuff in the wardrobe wouldn’t hurt anyone right?

The Coveteur’s

A Monday-noon-laugh is often heavily needed, and I got mine thanks to the The Coveteur‘s video. The mini versions of Tommy Ton, Jenna Courtin-Clarins, Susie Bubble, Man Repeller, Wintour and more, are too cute to be missed!

Pumpkin

Another week has past and I’v been a really lousy blogger, I’m really sorry for that but in my defends I’ve been spending a little time with family, which sometimes just has to be 1′st priority!

Sartorial-wise my growing baby bump does limit my outfit choices to a degree, and I’ve discovered that most of my tops and jumpers, no matter how oversized they are, won’t work much longer in terms of length, unless I want to flash bare skin in the November chill. Luckily I’ve stocked upon longer and slimmer knitted jumpers and dresses, and you’ll probably see me living in these on colder days ahead along with this coat by Mango, my favourite budget coat in stores this season.

Street Smarts for FGR

Sorry for “disappearing” for about 2 days but now I’m back, slightly recovered after a wonderful surprise birthday celebration on Tuesday followed by a full day of work the next day. Came across a story on FashionGoneRogue and got completely hooked on this simple look, just like my mood this days, simple and clean, with boyish flats, and I just fell in love in these gorgeous sharp shoes by Rodebjer, mmmm…..

MiH

Ok, I know I’m repeating myself but again, plaided/checked shirts, and I wanna wear them ala Dries in all colours! I’ve dug out old favourites from my wardrobe but they don’t have the right fit as I like it a little oversized and wear it unbuttoned here and there. MiH usually have really lovely plaided shirts in store, like this one above. And when I stopped by to have a look on their SS13 collections a few weeks ago I spotted many of them in even fresher colours with pop’s of pastells, something to keep in mind come spring…..

Back in the end of July I did a job for InStyle Germany in Paris, and I had so much fun on the day working with such pro’s. The fully 8 pages “A walk in the Parka”-spread is now out in the November issue, photographed by Max von Treu, styled by Anneke Krieglsteiner, and Ben Mayer on hair&make-up. Perhaps not the way you’re used to seeing me, but oh it’s refreshing stepping out of the comfort zone from time to time!

Elemis

I’m doing just like Victoria Beckham and swearing to this oil blend by Elemis during my pregnancy. After trying different oils out there this one’s a clear favourite, it’s not too strong on the nose and sinks into skin very quickly, hopefully it will prevent skin damages, crossing my fingers…..

Zipped up

Aahh, this weekend passed on too quickly, I’ve hardly started on my-to-do-list, and honestly it wasn’t so long to begin with. I guess the darker chillier rainy days start to get to me. However, we’ve had a few glimpses of clear skies this week and I made sure to be out there soaking it up leaving my heavier winter gear at home.

Outfit worn this week, I wore jeans by Acne, jacket Topshop Unique (similar here and here), new shoes Cos, bag Proenza Schouler and Ray Ban’s.
