Rule breaking

Not being afraid of playing around with volumes the selection of wide legged trousers in various shapes in stores right now suits me perfectly well. Some might believe you need to be on the taller side to get away with voluminous silhouettes and wide legged cropped trousers, but we’ve all seen the likes of petite Miroslava Duma kill all those theories recent years.
Apparently I woke up with with the idea of oversizing myself on this specific day, topped with many of my favourite accessories all at once, not caring about a rule in the world…

High waisted cropped trousers by Proenza Schouler (also here and here), cashmere-blend poncho by Holzweiler, belt by Saint Laurent (new season alternative here), shoes by Jimmy Choo (also here), bag by Saint Laurent (also here), cashmere turtle neck by Gucci, silver earring by Annelise Michelson, gold snake-ring necklace by Tom Wood, watch by Isabel Marant.

Not trying to challenge your taste but I’m sometimes surprised how many people like Miroslava Duma ))

She’s obviously bold and cheeky, she brakes the rules, but when it comes to oversized garments, to me she looks like a little girl wearing her mummy’s clothes. She brakes her proportions, and this never looks good on petite ladies.
Also it’s very obvious that she’s trying to deal with he small height to make herself taller, and she wears shoes on sooo… huge platforms/ wedges that make her legs look ridiculously disproportional instead of giving her some decent lift.
I am on petite side myself although not as small as her. I’ve tried a lot of things, and now being a grown girl I really believe that being looking very good for petite ladies is about correct proportions not even high hills.

As for you, I think you look great in oversized.
I enjoy your blog, your taste and ideas.)))

Love these long crops… I have a few pairs of super wide pants with dirty hems – they are headed to the seamstress right now for the chop! You are so beautiful in these shots.x
