Jil Sander left her eponymous label for the 3’rd time back in October for what is said to be personal reasons. After replacing Raf Simons 8 years long success at the helmet of the brand in 2012, Jil Sander’s return turned into a very short-lived affair. Appointed new creative director of the brand now is Italian designer Rodolfo Paglialunga, who formerly worked at Prada and Vionnet, will be showcasing his first collection for Jil Sander in September 2014.

Paglialunga is not the typical representative of purism à la Jil Sander. I’m really curious to see how he will cope with the transition from playful to clean/reduced.
