Phoebe Philo awarded an OBE

Our global girl crush and most copied woman in the fashion sphere, Phoebe Philo creative director at Céline, has been awarded an OBE in a New Year’s Honours list, making her one of tree people in the fashion industry to be honoured on the annual register.
Philo is joined by legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath and Central Saint Martins tutor and textile designer Natalie Gibson, both of whom recieve an MBE.

    Well deserved although the summer collection is absolutely horrible. Really, I just clicked through it now and it makes me just want to never look at Celine again :(
    Lets hope they still continue to make the classics.

    Hi Sara, I can understand what you mean, as it feels a far step away from the clean, crispy minimalism we’ve gotten used to by Phoebe Philo. Honestly I wasn’t too crazy about the screaming prints myself in the beginning, but it has grown on me, and there are certainly some gorgeous pieces in there for sure. Just wait until you see them pop up in editorials soon, then you’ll see ;-) xx
