I have lost count how often people ask me how old my baby boy is, instantly thinking the absence of pink and silly dollish prints, substituted with black, blue or other “non-gender-related-colours”, means she’s a boy. According to my mum, apparently the same thing happened to me as a child, but once an elderly lady told her it would bring good luck in life being mistaken for the opposite sex. Whether or not the latter being true, I’m feeling quite lucky and blessed in life, and I still stick to my “boyish” pieces that somehow ended up dominating my wardrobe.
Happy Sunday!

Wool trousers by Acne (also here), cashmere knit by Joseph, “old” coat by Isabel Marant, shoes by Jimmy Choo (also here), bag by Chanel and Tag Heuer watch.

Yeah, people are still disturbed if you dont perform your gender in the “right” way. They feel betrayed, because so it becomes obvious that all that gender-specific clothes, stereotypes and attributions are just constructions that easily can be revealed as such.

I know it as well. My little boy is 4, but some people still take him for a girl from time to time, mainly because of his long curly hair and yes, non-gender-related colours of his clothes:) And I am happy to hear that it brings luck:) Because he needs it so much now.

It’s lucky to be mistaken for the opposite sex? Then I must be lucky, because i have an unususl first name and sometimes get letters to “Mr…” The outfit is perfect as always. Your looks are so chic and cool and still simple and wearable.
