Wallet me

I’m hunting for a new wallet, but finding one that ticks all boxes is never easy, as the leather needs to be strong enough for every day wear (a wallet that easily scratches in my bag, don’t think so!), have a big enough coins room (how annoying is it not to be able to zip it!), pockets for cards and receipts (I have a seriously receipt-mess in my handbag right now!), and last but not least, something discreetly timeless. On top of my wallet wishlist are the Intrecciato by Bottega Veneta, starting from £445, pricy yes, but perfect!

I will go for a smaller one. If you are anything like me, you will tend to keep all the receipts, visit cards and other kind of things in your wallet. And after a few weeks it all gets messy!!! I used to have a gorgeous Balenciaga back leather wallet that my Grandmother gave me as a present and although it was beyond beautiful it ended up being heavier than my bag!!! Since then I try to buy smaller wallets, so that I don’t have that much space. Now I have a little nude Balmain wallet with yellow accents. It’s great, though nude is not the best colour though… Next time I’ll buy the same in tan or chocolate!

Umh … I think the Bottega Veneta ones are too conservative. They lack any citation of modern elements. This doesnt mean leaving the clean cut, but some small hints of modernity.

Den sorte Hedvig uten tvil, de med glidelås går ofte i stykker har jeg erfart, da har du en god unnskyldning for å kjøpe den hehe

Great choice.. Bottega Venetas artisan leather accessoiries surpass fashion and essentially become showpieces that are both art and craftmanship. Beware, it’s extremely addictive to start acquiring these pieces.. I am totally hooked.

Mind you, you can also consider a small individual coin purse in addition to a magnificent wallet. Looking forward to see your first BV piece! 🙂

I like 1 and 4. Because I didnt like if is the whole with zip. I have only coins in extra small with zip. But the normal for cards and money I like like that 1. and 4. Nice day.

Those are really nice woven wallets. I have one also from Bottega Veneta but I noticed now that Michael Kors is making some really lovely slick ones.

I agree, Bottega makes the best wallets. I have the brown one with gold hardware. Super timeless!

I’ve got Bottega wallet in use. It’s beautiful, but yeah some of the used leathers are quite soft. But there are still great ones in thicker leather.

I also in the hunt of the perfect wallet, it means reasonable size to keep all my cards and tickets and able to fit in some small bags I have.

I love you blog, you are one of my favourites!
