Not a huge fan of espadrillos, but it’s (almost!) summer outside, and if I could add only one pair of shoes to my collection in this second, it would be these by Chanel, espadrillos-perfectness don’t you think?

Sorry, but the price of $ 395 is ridiculous. For this price tag you can get tailor made shoes! And for 20 or 30 bucks you can get the real deal, orginal espadrilles, in the south of France or everywhere in Spain. Handmade of course!

I love them, unfortunately all sold out where I live. Shoes you originally don’t like and suddenly love because there is a big CC on them sounds a bit crazy though..

I am a fan of espadrilles (not espadrillos! in Spanish they are called alpargatas). My grandma use to hand make them for me, and now I get them made in her village. Great summer shoes. I very much the Chanel color combo, but I think the mega logo misses the point and takes away their quintaessential authentic and understated elegance (which manages to evoke both the rustic terroir and mid-century Riviera summers) in exchange for brassy naffness. The price is absurd. Mine are from Indian jute, the best cotton, and hand sown in a Spanish village and cost me 7$ a pair.
