A few days ago I had a bad experience in one my beloved areas of London. Having someone suddenly jumping on you from behind grabbing what they can may scare anyone to bits, but my initial reaction was anger(!), I got a hit in with my umbrella and ran after the creep who jumped into a nearby building. After getting away with nothing more than my phone, and hopefully problems with the police, I hope he thought it was worth it. Now in the aftermath I’m relieved it ended there, it’s insane how far some are willing to go, but lesson learned is that it could happen to anyone when you least expect it, so stay safe, tuck your phone away and grab your beloved handbag a little harder!
Skirt by Whyred, a new wool knit Paul by Paul Smith, coat Mango, boots by Acne, bag Proenza and sunnies by Tom Ford.

OMG, sounds terrible – poor you! Thank God he didn’t get that magnificent Proenza bag. Please do stay safe, especially now.
As when you take the Paris Métro, never show off expensive bags and clothes…Cover up under a trench coat. Low key is often the safest solution !
Good recovery after this unfortunate experience. Speak to your Baby about it, they often feel these things…
I’m so sorry to hear that Hedvig, but happy to hear that you are okay and were not harmed. Thank you for sharing with us.

What! Just as long as you and baby are fine, then he can keep the bloody phone, I can understand your anger. Keep well and safe!

Oh, what an awful experience. I’m glad you’re ok, and the baby. I understand your reaction, you were probably in protection mode for your baby. I agree with Daisy Roadster and Coco, speak to your baby about it. Now YOU stay safe!

PS: sorry to hear about what happened to you! I am glad you didn’t get hurt, since your phone is replaceable. These things are even worse in third world countries where people will literally kill you for a phone or for anything. I hope something like this never happens to you again. Be careful and stay safe! x
Im glad that you are both ok. What an upsetting experince!
Glad you are safe!!
oh my goodness how awful – so glad you (and baby) weren’t hurt.

I want to make a joke about how I often want to steal all your clothes but I know it’s too soon and may be in poor taste, really I am so relieved you are ok. Take care.x

when I read that kind of thing I am so angry!!! I remember when my car was broken and my stuff stolen.. I was so angry! and I feel the same reading your bad story! Fortunately you are ok and this is the most important! We all should keep this is a part of our mind, never forget it could happen to anyone..

Firstly, i’m pleased you and the baby are safe and unharmed, that is the most important thing- anything else can be replaced but you and the baby can’t.
Secondly, I’m sorry that you had your phone stolen it must have been very traumatic and hopefully the police get him- that’s why i mark all of my tech (and even my handbags) with UV pen so they can be traced.
I hope you recover from this horrific ordeal and i’m so pleased you highlighted this on your blog to make others more aware of the risks as having your phone stolen is becoming more and more common.
Best Wishes
P.S beautiful new jumper!
Hedvig
THANK GOD you and the baby are ok! Its only a phone, its replaceable. Dont let it make you scared out there in the world, dont let him take that from you.
Love Maddy
I am sorry to hear that. I have the same experience 2 days ago…I was in a restaurant in Duesseldorf and someone stole my whole bag. MY WHOLE BAG.
I cannot believe it.
The most important thing is you and your baby stay safe.
