It’s time for transitional dressing again and while the weather still allows bare legs I would still choose to bring along something knitted. Tomorrow, Paris is on the menu and I wouldn’t mind at all jumping into this total look, with the cashmere knit wrapped around my shoulders or waist, all new picks in stores!
Happy Monday morning world!
Culottes have certainly been ruling my wardrobe this year in various fabrics and colours, and my love for them is still going strong. I love how they work so well casual dressed down with a chic cosy knit or more dressy with a blouse or top. On this particular day back in NY volume was apparently on my mind, volume on volume, just love breaking them rules.
Culottes by Tibi (also here), sandals by Marni (also here), blouse by Tibi, shearling muff bag by Meli Melo, watch by Larsson & Jennings, earring by Sophie Bille Brahe, diamond rings by Monica Vinader, Ray Ban’s.
I’ve always been on the hunt for the perfect chunky scarf that has the soft cashmere touch but still has enough hold not to fall flat around the neck. Well, I’ve found them in my motherland Norway, by Holzweiler Agency, blends of wool and cashmere, made in Italy, and comes in a range of sizes, prints and and colours, in the pocket friendly price range of €109-€135. I’ll start wrapping mine over my shoulders with a belt ala Burberry as soon as temperatures allow it, yum!
It’s been a while, but I firmly believe the world is still standing!
As you may know the semi annual fashion month tour is fully on, and so far I’ve been pretty much living in suitcases, spending more time in taxis between appointments and shows than in front of my laptop. The good thing though is that amongst my heavily packed suitcases there is space for inspiration that I’m storing on the go, and hopefully after having time to digest it all, we’ll have something to snack about in the darker months sets in.
Sartorial-wise I’ve sported the dress+sneakers look a lot lately, either kimono dresses or little lace numbers. This has certainly been the year of sneakers and pointy flats, and from what I’ve seen so far it won’t be over very soon either.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I’m personally a big fan of Ryan Storer’s new collection which involves clean, bold, yet understated pieces with Swarovski pearls. Fine jewellery really is peaking at the moment, which also goes for their amounts of carats and price tags, but these pieces come more pocket friendly for sure. This Rhodium earring for instance is yours for £160 and you’ll find it here.
