Fashion months are hectic, and though I’ve shortened down my travels and missing out on NY this season, it feels like I’ve constantly been living in a suitcase since mid January. There are mixed reasons involved though, being a full time mum when I’m in the country do restrict your time for sure, but the thing is, I dread(!) unpacking almost as much as packing in the first place. As a result I’ve end up repacking and recycling a lot lately, like this warm knit I initially packed for Berlin, that has toured with me all through Europe, and I might give it a go in Paris too.
So tomorrow, I hope to see you there!

H&M Studio A/W-14

Yesterday H&M Studio, the new name for H&M’s seasonal collection of key pieces, presented it’s autumn 2014 show at Grand Palais in Paris. Loads of wearable, femasculine glam pieces on budget, that will be available in stores worldwide from September 4, yeah!

Tod's A-W 14

Last weekend I went for a quick trip to Milan to see Tod’s A/W-14 show, the second RTW show by the brand, which certainly has got new wind in the sails after Alessandra Facchinetti came on board as creative director last year. I really liked the first collection, but I loved this one even more which was quite dominated by leather pieces(!), femasculine tailoring, and drop dead gorgeous coats. See the whole collection for yourself on Tod’s website.

Me and my girlies above at the show, uber-cool artist Polly Morgan and Walkabout founder, Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, all wearing Tod’s SS14. (My coat is by Malene Birger)

Spring wishes

Spring wishes

We’ve got a colourful spring ahead of us, but personally I’ll most likely stick to the softer, earthy colour scales no matter what trend forecasts are telling us. Hence these are some airy, springy picks I wouldn’t mind adding to my wardrobe. Perhaps time for a spring clean and book that ticket somewhere humid!

Something camel

After searching high and low for the perfect camel coat, which is to me elementary in every wardrobe, my choice landed on this classic specimen that I’ve been eyeing season after season, but somehow never ended up getting in the past. With the “invest-in-your-wardrobe-motto” in the back of my head I finally ended up justifying the deeper pocket dig. And in the knowing that this type of coat will be a very used timeless staple in the years ahead, instead of being shuffled aside and forgotten due to whatever direction trends are moving, it’s justified right there.

Trousers by Studio Nicholson, shirt-dress by Maje (also here), coat by Max Mara (similar by Max Mara here and here), shoes by Jimmy Choo, Chanel bag, RayBan’srings by Tom Wood and diamond earring by Stone Paris.

Being a black cat and all I can’t help loving an all black editorial from time to time. Some may say black looks don’t translate that well through images like power colours and prints, but if it comes in a gorgeous B&W package like this it certainly speaks to me, and yes, finding it inspiring too. Vogue Paris March 2014, Karlie Kloss photographed by David Sims, and styling by Emmanuelle Alt.

Burberry Prorsum

We’ve all seen the various ways of styling the scarf lately but watch out there’s a new trend in town. Monogrammed cashmere blankets popped up on Burberry Prorsum’s A/W show yesterday, nonchalant thrown and swept over the shoulders, keep warm and stay tuned!

Windy days

During periods of horrid weather like we’ve had in London the last week it certainly affects the way you put together outfits, so naturally boots have come back on again and we’re back to layering. Dress over pants thing is one way to go that I’ve been sporting lately and though this isn’t really the best demo of it I guess you get the picture.

Above water

Between the very heavy showers in London right now there are glimpses of bright sunshine, we’re not all flooded though it might seem so on the news, bless them poor souls!

My lighter, minimal winter dressing continues, and right now I’m obsessing with lighter shades. Whites that seemed to be put on hold for quite a while for practical reasons now somehow seem to last through my daily life, well, I guess until the next big shower appears again.

Rucksack of desire

The Row Rucksack

If I ever were to throw back on a rucksack again, except for in wildlife(!), it may be due to this chic object of desire by The Row. Unfortunately one would need to dig deep, very deep into the pockets, yours for £2905, ouch!

Victoria Beckham A/W 14-15

Victoria Beckham A:W 14-15Images style.com

Victoria Beckham and team have certainly moved on from figure-hold-in-dresses, and has delivered one of my favourite collections from NYFW so far. Season after season the direction has slowly moved towards the effortless fe-masculine Phoebe Philo-way with a tiny touch of Dries, and this crossing is finding it’s way right up to my street, yum!

Mind global warming and all, there are definitely some benefits of having warmer winters that I’m embracing to the fullest. Sporting bare ankles and little silk scarves are some of them, along with a good knit and a coat, this sums up my “uniform” of 2014 so far.
What’s yours?
