Ok, I just had a serious overdose of myself putting together 60 of my own everyday outfits from 2012, before and after my baby bump came along, but in “true-blogger-spirit” I guess I goes with the territory right.

I usually don’t look back in time but rather stay focused on the present moment or looking ahead, but on this day I guess it’s inevitable. 2012 has been a fantastic and exciting year in every way and 2013 looks like it’s gonna be great too, if not eve better, both privately and professionally, and if everything goes according to plan I’ll be welcoming my little baby in February, frightening, surreal and wonderful at the same time.

As for you my dearest readers, I wish you and your loved ones all the best for 2013 and may wonderful things happens on your side too. Have a good one tonight and I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Saint Laurent Spring 2013 Campaign

Wide brimmed hats = superhot accessory in the new year ahead. Trend or not, I’ve always loved bigger hats (on others!), but I especially like the combo seen in Saint Laurent ‘s SS13, worn with slim tailored silhouettes and leather. Though I’m not much of a “hatty” person myself I might be tempted to give it ago, and if not I hope to spot some of you in it.

B&W, and a little gold

Half Christmas over already and I wish I could drag it out a little more. The London weather has been everything but Christmassy, mild and wet, but there’s definitely something in that saying “home is where your heart is”, and my heart has been in London with my family.

Outfit-wise I haven’t been up to much exciting, but my love for dress-coat-and boots continues. For a change I jumped into a drop waist dress the other day which was intentionally meant to be loose, but at least I can’t blame the the Christmas joy of food for not being so. I wore a silk dress by Topshop Boutique (similar here), tights by Wolford, boots by Acne, new coat by Vanessa Bruno Athe, bag by Proenza, watch by Michael Kors, rings and bracelet by Monica Vinader and De Beers.

Monochrome

As I’ve got monochrome B&W things and looks on my mind these days this coat by Vanessa Bruno Athe that I found on sale here was just up my street. Thinking of wearing it on not -so-cold days in the new year with an otherwise black outfit, and I might as well get started as it’s 10+ outside.

In time

Only 4 days left before Christmas but right now there’s not much reminding me of one, I can forget all about the snow yes, but 8 degrees rainy-grey-London-skies are just depressing (!). Not relying on the weather I opt to make it really cozy at home, which is my first Christmas over here and the first time family comes over from Norway to join (lots of 1′sts!), yeah! Now, getting my place ready, hoping all deliveries will arrive on time including the tree, and that the Christmas spirit will find it’s way to my new home just in time.

Noir

Yesterday eve me and my bump took a break from all Christmas turmoil, preparations and overloaded mailboxes, and jumped into an all black outfit, a pair of Jimmy Choo’s, and my new gifted, gorgeously studded Valentino clutch (it’s actually an Ipad bag), and we all had a fab night out on town, heavily needed!

Burgundy’s

Nail polish favourites of mine right now are Essie’s nr.487 Berry Hard and Chanel’s old classic nr.18 Rouge Noir, both are perfect shades of deep burgundy with brown undertones and quite similar, but Essie’s slightly lighter which I don’t mind, also stay’s like a rock and half the price of Chanel.

Hmmm, one of the most eye-catching accessories come spring for sure, metal maxi earrings by Balmain. Not so sure though how they would work in everyday life from a practical (and weight!) point of view, but damn they are cool! Yours for £212 and you’ll find them here.

Speaking of Resort collections, ok, craving pieces from Balmain’s collections would probably create a big black hole in most people’s budgets. Luckily keeping it as inspiration is free for everyone, like these three party looks that I absolutely adore!

Looking ahead

There are so many temptations out there right now, resort collections hitting stores and great winter sales ongoing. My “dilemma” is if I strike I probably won’t fit into it anyway until the season is over, so I’ve chosen to close my eyes (man it’s hard!) and focus on the beautiful spring that will come eventually. With a few exceptions though, like this currency printed shirt from Acne’s resort that I’ve wanted since I first had a look on this collection, and even if it’s a little tight over my bump right now at least I can wear it come spring.

Though I love being all wrapped up in coats in the winter I wouldn’t mind adding a leather shearling jacket to my wardrobe, preferable in a lighter brown or tan colour, perhaps something to look for and hopefully stumble across during the sales (yeah!).
