Ok, after searching high and low for more price-worthy alternatives to this drop dead beauty of an oversized classic timeless blazer, I’m almost about to give up, Balmain you win or perhaps any of you got any suggestions? With or without my baby bump I would have worn this jacket on the shoulders over a simple knee-length spaghetti-stropped dress and something sparkling in the coming festive season……

Every year I get this idea to chop a fringe, and this year like every other year, it’s not very likely to happen due to my unruly curls. However if I had straight hair like 60’s icon and beauty Francoise Hardy, the chop would have been done ages ago, her cut is just too cool for school and will remain my hair-inspo-dream for 2012 that never happened.
Happy Friday to all of you superstars!
A few days ago I had a bad experience in one my beloved areas of London. Having someone suddenly jumping on you from behind grabbing what they can may scare anyone to bits, but my initial reaction was anger(!), I got a hit in with my umbrella and ran after the creep who jumped into a nearby building. After getting away with nothing more than my phone, and hopefully problems with the police, I hope he thought it was worth it. Now in the aftermath I’m relieved it ended there, it’s insane how far some are willing to go, but lesson learned is that it could happen to anyone when you least expect it, so stay safe, tuck your phone away and grab your beloved handbag a little harder!
This morning I enjoyed looking through my new beautiful Kate book while sipping to a cup of ginger-mint-tea with fennel and lemon, a new obsession of mine(!), the tea I mean.
If you already are the owner of the book (if not you’ll find it here), and perhaps would like to meet Kate in person, then you can bring it with you tomorrow the 15’th (between 5pm and 7pm), to Marc Jacob’s Bookmarc store in Mayfair and have it signed. If you’re not queueing up for yourself it would sure make a great Christmas gift to a fashion loving friend…….
Todays “little” Tuesday wish is this Elsie bag by Chloe that has long time been hiding in the back of my mind, loving both these beautiful bags with golden hardware that I would wear with leather and denim right away. If interested you’ll find the houndstooth tweed version here (£1065) and the beaded leather version here (£1872).
Woop woop, Happy Monday Morning and I hope you’ve all had a fab weekend!
On my side my bump is growing a lot these days, and though I know it will certainly get bigger the remaining 3 months I already feel like I’ve swallowed a basket ball, where will this end? Those silhouettes, ala Proenza Schouler, I pictured I would wear this fall feel a million miles away, as fitted just feels the best for now, and the skirts in my wardrobe unluckily don’t come with elastic waistlines (more elastic waistlines to the people please!).
Anyway, here’s what I wore a few days back, my favourite new jeans by J Brand, wool jacket by Hofmann, boots Isabel Marant, wool scarf Ralph Lauren, bag by Proenza and bracelets by Monica Vinader and Cooee.
Balenciaga SS13, images style.com
I’ve been crushing on these overloads of golden rings ever since they strolled down the Balenciaga SS13 runway back in September. These are some of my absolute favourite accessories for spring, and something I think will sell quick as a flash when they hit stores in February/March, sadly I want (need!?) them right now…..
Today I’ve been a busy bee running between meetings and press views, hence my non-existing updates, but here’s what I’ve been wearing at least. Lately I’ve totally adopted everything comfortable, soft college jumpers, knitted dresses and lower heels, who would have thought?
Skirt by Isabel Marant (as dress here), new Homies jumper by Brian Lichtenberg, cashmere coat Topshop Boutique, new suede boots by Acne, tights by Wolford, bag by Proenza Schouler and silver necklaces Cooee and Tiffany’s.
As you may know I moved into my new flat in London about 6 months ago, leaving the Leicester Square buzz behind. You should think 6 months is enough to get settled furniture and interior-wise, but it feels like there’s still a long way to go. These beauties however would help me one step closer to that homy feeling I’m trying to achieve.
Nicolas Ghesquière by Alessandro Garofalo/indigitalteam.com via style.com
A little unexpected news are that one of my favourite designers, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Balenciaga are parting ways after 15 years with Nicolas at the helm of the iconic fashion house. According to WWD, the split is a joint decision on both parts and no further news on what’s next has been confirmed.
Hey, hope you all had a smashing weekend!
I’ve been strolling around in the streets of London that has already turned into a Christmas-melt, a little bit early for my taste but I cant help loving the decorations, what else is there this time of year than cozying up with candles in the dark, though I fully understand some of you over in NY wouldn’t romanticize it as much as me right now.
Anyway, I’ve been running around lots this past week and opted for more practical outfits and “runnable” shoes, and this coat and preggy jeans are my constant favourites. Jeans by J Brand, new studded knit by Vanessa Bruno Athe, shoes by Tod’s, wool coat by Mango, watch by Michael Kors, necklace by Cooee and bag by Proenza.
It’s Saturday noon and I’m about to head out for lunch and seize the beautiful November sunlight, yes, I’m not one of those who headed out hours ago cause I love my sleepy-weekend-mornings way too much.
Anyway, I wouldn’t have mind slipping into this outfit as we speak, strongly considering getting some of this pieces, like these boots by Acne that have long time been on my mind…..
Happy Weekend Everyone!
Oversized leather biker by Topshop Boutique, wool scarf by DSquared2, sweatshirt by Brian Lichtenberg, maternity skinnies by J Brand, shoulder tote by Tod’s, python bracelet by Alexander McQueen and boots by Acne.
