The last couple of days there’s been a rumour flying in the wind that Alexander Wang has been a likely candidate to replace Nicolas Ghesquiere as Creative Director at Balenciaga. According to WWD the rumour has been confirmed true to market sources and an announcement from the fashion house is expected to be released this week.

If you have your ways through London from now until 3′rd of March then a hot address in town is the new Valentino exhibition that opens tomorrow at the Somerset House. It promises to be a journey into the secretive world of Italian couture and includes everything from exquisite couture designs, photographs and screenings, add that to your calendar.
A few weeks ago I was kindly asked by De Beers to pop by their beautiful store on Old Bond to pick my favourite pieces for a holiday wish list for their website. Needless to say I had a blast, I mean, trying on the finest jewellery and diamonds of all sizes isn’t really that hard and not something I do on a daily basis.
Here’s my “demure” diamond-dream-wish-list and not very surprisingly I ended up with quite classic delicate pieces that are not too much in your eyes, and can be worn stacked together, on their own or mixed with chunkier costume jewellery, just the way I like it. These beautiful 0.03 carat band rings (starts from £650) for instance are perfect for stacking, or use as pendants on a chain.

We all know that plaids already are a strong player both now and in fashion forecasts, but I’ll also keep my finger on stripes, bold ones like these slingbacks from Dolce & Gabbana’s SS13 or more formal ones like seen in Altuzarra SS13 collection.
When I come across great fabrics for a good price I strike, well almost, I’m so regretting I didn’t look a little harder for the white version of this cashmere turtleneck on the day of the MMM for H&M launch 2 weeks ago, especially now when I’ve got the hots for cozy warm dresses. And like a friend said the other day, ” that’s a lot of cashmere for £69!”, can’t argue that.

Today it’s Cyber Monday, and most of the US sales have already kicked off during the weekend (you lucky gals over there!). I’m not the one who shy away from gender-mix and matches and just absolutely love Saint Lauren’s Spring 2013 campaign for men. These beautiful shots are photographed by Hedi Slimane himself, and modelled by Dutch beauty Saskia de Brauw, in parhaps what Slimane does the best, tailored skinny for men!
November so far (luckily!) has not been too chilly in London, with temperatures around 10 degrees heavy winter gear and hats have hardly been needed, yeah! We all know that can change in the matter of seconds so I’ve been careful to enjoy lighter outfits whenever I could.
As you may have picked up I’m all in for comfortable dressing these days, and when I came across these 2 super soft quilted pieces with elastic waistline (hurra!) I got it on the spot. These are new favourites that I will wear as a one piece by just changing accessories and shoes, or worn as separates.
Now, I’m gonna snuggle up in the sofa in another cosy outfit, take a deep breath and wait for my homemade cantarella pie to finish in the oven, wishing you all a fabulous weekend wherever you are!

Guess if I turned a little starstruck yesterday when Grace Coddington signed my latest book addition, her autobiography “A Memoir” at Browns Fashion. She’s such a talented graceful beautiful woman that I have my deepest respect for and I cannot wait to dig into this gorgeous book during my Christmas-days-off.
I’ve had a slightly hectic week, hence the-not-so-frequent posts, but just one more busy day and I hope to spend a little more time with my blog. If you’re interested you know you can always find me on Instagram on my profile @hedvigso.
Anyway, Yesterday eve I wore a Tod’s Signature bag and my new beautiful Valentino kittens, and I swear I never had so many compliments regarding my shoes ever before. Well now, when I look like I’ve swallowed a football I move focus to fabulous accessories and it works miraculously to some extend!
Dangling on my wrist a lot lately are these friendship bracelets in silver and rose gold by Monica Vinader that I’ve got engraved to make each one of them more personal. I’ve already gifted friends with these bracelets which all turned successful, just a little tip if you’ve got no idea what to give your good friend who might already have “everything” for Christmas.

Woop woop, I’m back in London after a few cosy days in Paris where I except from enjoying my favourite Laotian food and spending time with family and friends, soaked up the Christmassy feeling and installations at the department stores, tried on a trillion Valentino shoes, and ended up with this beautiful red carrier bag that made my eyes all teary, a true Valentino-princess-moment that I hope will last a looong time.

Right now I’m so feeling for prints like tartar, stripes and houndstooth, and promising budget favourites are this semi-transparent tartar shirt and stripey blouse in Zara’s December lookbook.
My outfits these days are pretty limited to jeans, shirts and knits when on the run, but at least to vary a little I’ve been playing around with accessories and jewellery, like these new gold pleated earrings, a little golden bling bling on a regular weekday sometimes does it for me.
On another note, right now it’s early Sunday morning and I’m an unusual early bird as I’m about to catch my train to beautiful Paris for a few days. Enjoy your Sunday folks and see you in Paris!
